Oh, how nice! I, along with everyone else would follow you anywhere! I am so enjoying this, as I am in a small town in North Carolina without much excitement. This is such a treat, and so different from our cemetery walks! You surely did add some spice to our lives! Thank you Ron, and I will see you on Sunday night, if not sooner! Also, hello guys!
Im a woodworker and the minute you walked in I was like, slow down, let me see that lol, then you did with the owner, the craftsmanship is second to none, most have no idea the work that goes into those pieces, especially back then, completely hand carved detail's, it's amazing...hard to duplicate now with router tables and multiple layers of router bits, let alone hand done, wish I were that skilled...thanks...
I love this video Ron! It really touched my soul. What an amazing collection by a wonderful man. I used to have my oil paintings in Scottsdale years ago and was blessed to be accepted there in the art community. I sold many paintings there. It makes me kind of homesick. I have been retired for some years but I still have a mind full of the memories and the beauty I was able to experience throughout my career. I was very drawn in by those paintings and found myself pausing the video at many of the paintings to study the artist's techniques. That was how I learned to paint. I was a realist artist and loved doing very detailed work. I would love to see this man's warehouse as well. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Bless you. I love you as a creator. ❤❤❤
@@LilyGazou I retired some years back but I still try to dabble a little bit from time to time. I have a painting on my easel that I was going to waork on today infact but. TH-cam won out again. LOL. Thank you for your kindness. 💖
"Maurice" was the Count of Saxony and had an impressive military career in the early 18th century. Thank you Ron and Todd! Really enjoyed the antiques and stories. I'd love to go to the warehouse too sometime.😊
Another connection yet again, Ron…. My twin lives in Scottsdale and has been in this shop many times… I loved everything in there! The beauty, the craftsmanship, the history and elegance. I am so thrilled you took us there and am anxious to see the warehouse!!!!❤
I’m not a big antique person but I saw so many things I would love to have! The wood furniture is gorgeous! I have some craftsman in my family and appreciate wood furniture! That secret love note piece is stunning! ❤ This was fun!
What a great antique store. Those pieces of furniture are gorgeous. Thanks, Ron . It would be interesting to see the other warehouse sometime. Have a nice evening take care.❤
What a neat place .As an avid model railroad enthusiast / collector and classic car restorer/ owner I fully understand the secret barn mindset .They are quite necessary to protect your investments and have some time for yourself .I learned years ago to just hide the cars out in a barn in the woods .If you know you know types of situations 😂
I was looking for my ancestor’s oil paintings from the 1700’s! My nephew sold them for big bucks!! That is a high-end antique shop. No junk there! Very nice and I can’t wait to see the secret warehouse 👀 Thank you Ron for an interesting tour!✌️-Nina
@ He didn’t need the $ that bad. He was supposed to be the curator of the family heirlooms. Goodness knows what all he sold. We gave him everything. While he rolls around on his new Harley, I live in a travel trailer. We trusted him. We made a terrible mistake reading his enthusiasm for our family heritage.☹️😖
So sorry. I know if a young man who sold off very valuable family rugs for a pittance to fund his drug habit. The rugs were supposed to be donated to the metropolitan museum.
Love this! Would love more antiquing trips, your cabin had the most amazing and interesting decor, and I just love your style. This was tremendous, thank you for sharing! Your love of history, antiques, artifacts, design....so fascinating and right up my ally. Thank you again for sharing!
That place was amazing. I saw a couple of things that I would like to buy but I don't think I'll ever get there. There was so many nice things there, everything looked very high priced considering the time period of the antiques. It was set up really nice, you could see everything, nothing was hidden. Thanks for the tour Ron. I would love to see the warehouse. That would be awesome to see what's stored there. Looking forward to your next post.
I love walking thru antiques shops and dreaming about pieces that interest me. I cannot afford the pieces but love looking at and touching them. And I agree with your fascination with the paintings. Amazing detail. Life like. It would be fun to see the warehouse.
Thanks for sharing. It reminds me of my childhood/grandfather. He had so much art inside of his house. Those frames that you can only get from the finest furniture stores. I miss him so much 😢
This was so fun, and I just love antique stores. The biggest purchase I ever made from one is an absolutely beautiful bedroom set from the 1940's. The scroll work on it is stunning and the wood has such beautiful different colors of grain. It's just an amazing piece of furniture. I still have it and it's something I would never get rid of. They just don't make furniture like that anymore. I have another little side table too that's really pretty and also two hurricane lamps that I put on top of the antique dresser. I could spend all day browsing these antique stores. This place you went to has some stunning pieces! Yes, I'd love to see his warehouse!! Thanks for the tour, Ron, I really enjoyed it!!
Used to enjoy visiting my parent's friends who had an antique store in their home. So many cool antiques in their home. He was good at fixing clocks and other mechanical things. For awhile he had a garage full of juke boxes from the 50s. My parents bought one from him that was an old Seeburg 100 like the one shown at the beginning of the first seasons of Happy Days. I bought an ebony sideboard from them that was from England. 1870s. I still have it.
Thanks for taking us along Ron, my sort of shop all those antiques amazing. It’s the sort of place that you can wonder around all day and loss yourself in thought.🥰🥰🥰
I'm not a fan of Scottsdale but I have to admit there's a lot to see! My Aunt Ramona used to take me to the art galleries and explain different styles and mediums. Then in later years my friends and I would meet there for a country western rock concert and dance in the street! I loved those desks in the antique store! I love the secret compartments and the beautiful wood!

I loved the look on your face Ron, when the guy said you could see the Warehouse. Your eyes and smile just glowed. He has some really cool stuff in there. I may have to make my way down there some time and check out his shop! Thank you for taking us on this journey with you, and I'd DEFINITELY love to see more!❤❤❤
Amazing stuff back in the day! Intriguing and ingenious things they came up with. I have my great-great grandma’s Anglo-Chinese style angled folding writing desk and bench seat made in 1860s (it is stamped Old Port of Canton 1865 which is the export stamp out of China after being made when it was shipped to Malaysia under the British Empire); black lacquered wood with hand painted details and mother of Pearl and carved ivory (I know, controversial today!) inlays depicting the royal prince and four princesses of the Imperial Chinese dynasty at that time. A truly one of a kind heirloom.
