Almost 10 years late, but finally saw frozen and went on the ride in June- incredible film, music, and park experience. I was salty they changed it but they definitely made the right choice. Never seen little kids so excited after a ride.
Another beautiful day at Epcot. Always enjoyed the Norway pavilion and I thought Maelstrom was incredible when I first rode it 😊. The original Epcot was amazing (sigh).
I agree Mike, Maelstrom was low key one of the best rides at Epcot in my opinion. Such a shame it’s gone but I guess I can understand why Frozen took over. Thanks so much as always!
Ah yes, the pavilion that started my Helly Hansen obsession! I remember back in the day, Akershus was one of the easier dining reservations to snag (This was when you couldn't make reservations until you were in the park for the day.) It was also some of the best food I've ever had in Epcot! I do miss it a lot. Thanks again for another great video!
Haha I can’t blame you there! The Helly Hansen stuff really keeps you warm in the winter months. Akershus is a place I still haven’t dined at before, but I gotta try it eventually! Thanks so much as always my friend 😃

Really nice video. We like the Frozen ride but prefer the old Norway ride which gave such a beautiful look at the country with its attraction and movie.
I agree with you for sure, Frozen is fun but Maelstrom was a much better ride for the pavilion. Thanks so much!
❄Thor,Frozen & Akershus Royal Banquet Hall(princess dining) keeps this pavilion lively. I was straining to hear the narration about Freyda in the museum 😊& those pressed pennies are so cute! (Luv that kid w/the Mickey bar just living his best life) What a nice ending to the parade of pavilions. Party Wise - Filming is appreciated & I hope next will be enjoyable w/less folks (maybe Hatbox will be in by then for ya🤞)🦇🦇💜
I really like to explore this pavilion outside of the Frozen ride! Most of the shop still gives me Maelstrom vibes, so that’s how I try to keep the ride alive for me. Thanks so much Liz, it would be nice if the Hatbox ghost arrives before the Halloween season is over!

Hi from Norway! It's a well designed pavilion. I've lived close to Borgund stave church (seems this is the one they used as inspiration) and also lived in Bergen for a while. Even that café interior reminds me of those you find in traditional places here. Overall it reminds me of Hunderfossen, close to where I grew up. Its a traditional fairytale themed family park. Lots of trolls etc😅 so it creates alot of familiarity for me watching this.
Great video. I would feel right at home there haha ❤. I have a friend (Norwegian) that actually moved to Florida and worked there for a little while. It's many years since now. This seems to be common to do😊
…even before Frozen Ever After…Schoolbread!!
I know there are so many mixed feelings about brining IP charcters into Epcot…but Frozen Ever After brings the younglings into the Norway pavilion so that as an extension they can be introduced to the country/region’s culture. Trained to be an educator, just noting that sometimes you have to find the “hook” to draw learners in. (and you just drew me in to want to learn to read runes…I’d not noticed all the runes carved in rocks around the “kirkja” (the Stave Church). ☺

I agree, from a business standpoint I completely understand why Frozen took over Maelstrom. There really are plenty of hidden details around the pavilion that most may not notice! Thanks so much Rick😃

Norway Pavillion is pretty cool but ever since Frozen it's been more famous I'm surprised they haven't put a theme based on Oaken
Going to do Akershus with my niece next week (it’s taking time from my drinking around the world; good thing I’m going twice).
Still not sure how I feel about the Frozen ride, I get the whole IP reason to put it in; I’d rather the history of Norway.
But I’m still waiting for rides in Germany and Japan, so maybe I should stop complaining.
But there is soooooo much detail through the pavilion.
Oh nice! I’ve never been to Akershus so I have no idea what the food is like there lol. I’ll never like Frozen more than Maelstrom, but I can understand the move from a business standpoint for sure. Most of the shop still gives me Maelstrom vibes though, so I’m glad they didn’t turn the entire store into Frozen! Thank you as always Craig😃

Wish they would had still made the original Africa land that was supposed to be built along with others smh.

I still enjoy this pavilion but I miss Maelstrom. Arendelle isn’t a real place the ride belongs at MK not here, IMHO.
I love the Laila perfume from this pavilion and my husband is obsessed with Helly Hanson
I agree Jen, Maelstrom was such a better attraction for the pavilion. I’m sure if the Frozen movie would have flopped when it first came down, Maelstrom would still be here till this day. Thanks so much as always!!

It’s a very beautiful place with nice eateries & shops but I have one problem with Norway & it is the Frozen ride
While it is a nice ride & all but the ride have nothing to do with Norway at all, it doesn’t talk about Norway’s past or culture
