He probably knew where alpha lopunny spawned (I do) and it spawned as a shiny???
Fun fact: Hitting the Pokemon from behind means both knocking them into a 2-turn confusion where they can't attack and it also separates all other Pokemon from battling with it, forcing it to be a 1v1

I didn't realize until I was grinding on Alpha Hippowdons and I only ever got it in a 1v1 when i hit it on the backside, because otherwise something else would have come along to fight with it. Tested it on a few other Pokemon and I realized it was like that for all the wild battles!
So you hit it from the back and it is a 1v1

The fact that he completed it first AND he accidentally made it a hard-core by not using items in battle goes kinda hard
didn't pokemon challenges do it before him? when the game first came out
Pokémon challenges did this day of release. His only playthrough was a HC nuzlocke.
He died and changed the rules😂
AND losing it so it doesn't count
Well nuzlocke rules state, any pokemon that faints is considered dead so null/void
combined with the "near universally accepted rules" states that player cant reset or reload when things go wrong, which he essentially did when he was wiped....twice.... so he hasnt completed the nuzlocke challenge
his changing of the nuzlocke rule that a pokemon can sacrifices itself for him/his team is stupid. It means nuzlockes are pointless if you can just sacrifices a mon cause it was on the team at the time and save 5 others...

I didn't see one other than the Ponyta until postgame!

I was just exploring and I found a shiny Starly and Staravia somehow
In my entire Pokemon career spanning 25 years I have encountered exactly one shiny that wasn't guaranteed like the Gyarados in the lake of rage. In my first playthrough of Sword I got a shiny Rookidee on like route 3, and that is IT.

This game really isn't easy at all to Nuzlocke. Legends Arceus was the first one I ever did and good god, it was exhausting and confusing. It was really fun though. I'm just happy to see people actually able to win a nuzlocke in this game.
Edit: Honestly can't wait for Part 2. Really excited
Reminder that this man not only got a shiny Lopunny in this Nuzlocke, but he also got a full odds shiny Buneary in Wolfey's Legends Arceus tournament (and he used it in the battle afterwards, too).

Found your channel from reacting to Jaden's Soul Link Nuzlocke and begun watching some of your own Nuzlock series. I have to say the art featured within this video is absolutely stunning! The perspective of the Senpai surviving that giga impact was out of the league. The style, perspective, all of that. I am more than happy to stay to see more of epic drawn out scenarios in between of gameplay.
I remember watching these live. So many laughs and honestly just fun streams to watch this from a Nuzlocke perspective.
Not even a minute into the video and I must pause in awe of the epic excitement this orchestral version of Cha-La-Head-Cha-La instills in me. Congratulations, Moxie. You have left me speechless.

It's so wholesome to see this. This is recored when the game just came out and the sincere emotion from Moxie is so recognisable because that's exactly how I get when I picked it up on release day!
Tip for electrode noble fight: you can tank all the homing orbs and just let them hit you. You actually won’t be knocked out, and it finishes the fight much faster. Just don’t take damage from the voltorbs
I think that’s been changed now, since when I played I got knocked out by the homing electricity

Yeah, this is the game that finally managed to make the boss battles in Pokemon as epic as they should be. That moment when you finally subdue Dialga is just so awesome.

I got me a shiny Alpha Garchomp a few months ago when the game was still new, it’s the alpha garchomp you encounter in that ice area, and it was a shiny, and guess what, it was the first Garchomp i saw in the game, i had no other Garchomp encounter before that except a few gibles and gabites

Ya know, it wasnt until now that I realized this game has a very similar story to Pokemon mystery dungeon. person transported randomly to a new land, helps to quell suddenly raging wild pokemon, and later on gets blamed as the cause and chased out of town.
Definitely an odd game to nuzlocke, must've been stressful!
This and Colosseum are the hardest Nuzkocke you could ever try to do.
