I'm a Californian but during a business trip, a friend and I managed to sneak in the 1998 Indy 500 race and a canoe trio on the upper Eau Clair river ...it was about as beautiful of a river as I've ever been on and the small mouth kept us plenty busy. A guy could spend a lifetime here and never fish the same water twice.

These guys beat the fuck out of the fish slamming them in the boat and then tossing them around in the livewell until weigh-in. Glad MLF is taking over as they're much more conservation orientated.

It’s not the reel. It’s the braided line going through the guides under tension when there’s a fish on the end of the line. Fluorocarbon does the same, just a different sound.
