- The Bassmaster Elite Series anglers compete on Falcon Lake. The fishery on the border of the U.S. and Mexico was ranked Number 1 on the list of best bass fishing lakes in the country. It produced a ton of big bass catches.

This is my 3rd time watching this, I just love it so much.
Got the opportunity to fish this lake about a month ago with Mr. Matt Reed, one of the anglers fishing that day. We absolutely slayed them. I’ll tell you what, video still does justice of what Falcon is.
I think they should do a "Legend's only" three day tournament on this lake.
This lake isn’t really the same tho, very on and off

Had to watch this again. Watched it years ago. Falcon is still a fantastic lake. Netting on the Mexican side is an issue. But a 30 fish 5lb average day is still there on the right day.

I wish this lake was as healthy as it was back then. We have had many years of drought and lots of over fishing from the Mexico side of the lake. You would not believe the amount of gill nets and cast netters that are on this lake now. Even on the Texas side they cast net every cove and shallow areas for talipia. The bass never get a good chance to spawn now.
2005 to 2015 was the prime of this lake.

***** dont take any chances on a bad hookset in these types of tournaments. If you can pull the head off of a fish with a hookset i'll be damn impressed by your strength.

Hookn into a super big bass is about like being hooked into a mac truck
at 15:00 a fish jumps by the dock and they are canceling the tournament lol but its for the safety of the anglers

I came here to watch this after watching the elite series tournament at lake fork this week. I want to see how much of a difference there was between this tournament and how this week’s tournament while a week of watching guys watch a screen on the front of their boat is fresh in my mind.
This was when fishing was fun to watch. Bassmasters blows now . I wont watch it
