Your new Copper Peptides serum is as close to a instant miracle serum I’ve used. I love love love Tretinoin but even it took months to notice. The copper peptides is instant for me, unreal
I feel like the Olay Serum has been available in the US for at least 6 months or so. I saw a few dermatologists here on TH-cam review it and the biggest knock seemed to be the fragrance. As I was coming to the end of a few of the serums in my morning routine a couple of months ago, I decided to replace three of them with this one serum and I have really been liking it. I had a pretty good routine before I brought it in, getting good results, and that has remained consistent since I brought in the Olay. I don’t find me the fragrance overwhelming although I don’t think it needs to be there. I have not noticed any pilling in the products I put on immediately afterwards (and I don’t wait 10 minutes), and I definitely haven’t noticed any mica settling into my fine lines and wrinkles (I’m 55). As someone with dry skin, I like the dewiness the formula brings. It doesn’t make me look greasy at all. Overall I think it’s a solid product that is working well for me and I am glad to have eliminated several extra steps in my routine, but I do wish they would drop the fragrance.
They actually have a night version that is exactly the same without the fragrance that I’m hoping comes to Europe real soon 🥹 I have the exact same results as you (I’m 30).
I'm in Canada, 50, mature skin on the dry side, with hyperpigmentation. Bought both the daytime and nighttime Olay serums. The daytime one had too strong a fragrance and it really does make everything pill. I actually prefer the nighttime one, less fragrance. When I bought them about 5 months ago, they were about $30 CAD. I saw them last week at the drugstore and they were now, $59.99, probably because they are now so popular. I would not pay that, and honestly, noticed no difference in my skin at all.
Such aggressive marketing campaigns put me off any product. They do not allow the product to shine on its own they shove it down our throats through paid influences. Also, non-cruelty-free skincare gives me the same ick as clothing brands that use fur. It's disgusting and unnecessary in 2024. An easy pass for me with this one.
Wouldn’t touch being non cruelty free!! Totally agree with you not into the shove it down your throat marketing another total put off!! Don’t like the bottle either but not a problem as wouldn’t purchase anyway!! Thanks for the review though I now know to steer clear.
I agree, especially pertaining to animal testing. China still has no animal protection laws, requires animal testing to be sold there, and has a large dog & cat meat trade. China has such an amazing deep history & variety of cultures (which does not include dog & cat meat if you hear that excuse) for the past few thousand years that I find it sad they don't treat their non human residents with more respect & care! Most of the lux brands aren't cruelty free, nor are the 'drugstore' brands under their corporate umbrellas. Lancome, Estee Lauder, and Loreal come to mind. You would think that with all that money, they'd walk different road by now. Loreal has so many amazing products, but I won'tbuy from them until they make a change.. No cosmetics companies have any excuse to be testing on animals.
I love your informative videos , and appreciate your knowledge of skin care. I love in depth videos featuring multiple products of a wide variety of brands. Keep up the great work!!
I SO wish I had seen this before I got caught up in the hype and bought TWO bottles as they were half price. You have summed it up perfectly... Even the look of it 😅. This is not awful but it's nowhere near as good as they want you to believe it is. It's 'fun' if you like sparkles and perfume but fun is not what I want for the price. I want results and I'm not seeing those so I regret buying two for sure 😔
I’m 47 have dry skin and this has helped me battle the dryness, I apply Olay 7 in 1 facial moisturizer overtop. Keeps my skin dewy all day so far working good at keeping dryness away.
This is what grates my gears in the skin care industry. Claims like this “ facelift in a bottle” are misleading and completely false. Skincare is wonderful but there is a limit to what it can and can’t do. I have sagging in my neck and lower face due to weight loss and going through the peri menopause ( which caused me massive mental health issues and therefore stress) . I have tried so many creams, lotions , potions, and some at home devices and the results are that I have healthy, glowing skin but zero lift , which was what I expected. I know that I will need an in clinic treatment or ultimately a face lift if I want the sagging to go. It’s time now to be open, honest and up front in the beauty industry. This is why I always come to your channel because you tell it like it is. ❤
Love your fair and balanced videos. There is only one Olay product I use and that is the original Beauty Fluid. Mainly for nostalgic reasons as the smell reminds me of my late Mom💜. Actually the formulation is really nice on my skin, it makes my skin lovely and soft . But I might give the serum a try, I wonder how long it will take to reach South Africa though
@@carennorthcutt7724 lovely! Good point, never heard of it causing any problems. I used some last night and my skin is so soft this morning. A friend and I who both lost our Moms early buy this for each other. It’s magic I tell you 💜
Probably good for people who want a well rounded serum that you can buy in person at the store. There are much better serums available online from Korea or indie brands (krave, stratia, and MAS)!
Never saw any of the hype about this serum, I happened to buy a bottle today because I needed to find a new serum for my face and so far I like it. It makes my skin feel really soft and smooth. I can't wait to see what happens after a few days / weeks. I found this video because I was looking up reviews for other people's opinion.
I’m new to your channel and so glad I came across your review before I buy this serum. I’m certainly not an Olay person as I don’t really like the way the promote their products but this one I considered and have watched multiple reviews only to be more confused. I think your review was very good and finally decided to keep my routine and not get influenced 😊by the crazy marketing campaign! Anyway, thank you and I look forward to binge- watching your videos and of course watch the new ones😊
I bought this without seeing any advertising beforehand, it was on sale and I liked the packaging 😂 I really like it and I’m on my second bottle of the day product and have added the night version as well. I did not find the fragrance strong, it does not pile under the BB cream I use as a foundation. I have oily, mature (perimenopause) skin.
This serum has been out for a long time in the states. And I can’t really say I’ve heard anything about it. I also haven’t saw anything about it on TH-cam, let alone ads. I live in the Midwest of the us, where Olay is the “most expensive” people think there is lol 😂 so idk if this serum is all that “big”
I’m in the Great Plains states and I haven’t seen a ton of commercials on TV or anything but the ads on TH-cam and elsewhere online have been persistent 🫠 but it’s the same here, Olay is generally regarded as “higher end” drugstore compared to brands like Neutrogena and such
My grandma Georgia used Olay lotions, creams, on her face till the day she died. Hardly had any wrinkles when she passed. I'm now an Olay customer for life. Lol. She was the best advertisement for me.
I’m interested in trying this. I really like Olay AHA serum. It pairs nicely with other skin care products. My boyfriend can’t stand the smell of some products tho. He can deal with cleansing and toner smells. Hopefully I can get a sample or something!
Hey James thanks for the review, I normally prefer your content when you review more than one product such an ingredient or a brand. But I appreciate you trying to provide a critical overview to an overhyped product online, I always learn so much from your content, today I learned about a new ingredient and why some product might not work on my skin as I am 48 so I am going to keep an eye on this ingredient on my future purchase. I think Olay might be a good product almost as a makeup primer on days you want to have a nice glow with going through the effort of putting on makeup. Which is frankly every day I leave my house 😅 But I am with you in the fact that they are not a cruelty free band, it’s not good enough for 2024. And also the smell is a big no no for me, I don’t mind a subtle smell that comes from the formulation or ingredients but any additional fragrance it’s just not necessary on my skincare. Thanks for the waffle I always enjoy your content 😊
I've ordered numbuzin 5 three times from Stylevana and all three times i never received my order. Buuuhuuuhuuu 😭 Great video! Haven't used olay for a decade and a half, but good to know they want to better themselves!

When I first saw this bottle advertised I thought it was a bottle from back when my mum used it when it was Ulay not Olay! I wouldn't touch this as it not animal friendly. I use COABE super serum. Amazing serum and it does cover everything. I've cut my skincare routine in half. Fantastic video xx💖💖

Back as a young teen, many decades ago, when i began anything resembling a skin care regimen, it was Dove beauty bar and the original Oil of Olay beauty fluid. There were only two kinds..the original pink bottle and the white bottle. I cant remember if the white was without fragrance, or what the difference was. Lol! I mean, it was over 45 years ago! Then, seven orbeight years later, i became a Jafra consultant. Boy did i up my sk8n care game then. Followed by NuSkin several years later..... Then I kibd of went back to really basic for several years until No. 7 vame 8bto my life in my 40s. Now I'm always on the lookout for whats good for my 50+ Year old skin, with a hope for keeping it relatively simple, and as few products as possible. Well that was the goal until I found Rob and MAS! Now i find myself wanting to try so much...when, I imagine, finding my core routine and sticking to it may serve me better! Lol!
I’m in my early fifties & bought this yesterday because my usual routine seems to have hit a lull and isn’t meeting my current need. I added this in place of my other serum & enjoy it very much. It looks healthy with out emphasizing lines so I am a fan. I don’t like that it’s viral because availability matters.
Thanks so much for this review, Rob. I didn’t know Olay was not cruelty free- so good to know. You are so right, there is no excuse for Animal Testing in this day and age!
Hi Rob,1st time saw your vdo. I'm 42 yrs old Indian lady. My skin has open pores, dark circle and uneven skin tone.could you pls suggest good affordable brand. I'm not in job so cant buy expensive product. Pls pls suggest some product work for my skin. Thnaks
I am so out of the loop. Never heard of it 😂 but Olay also doesn't interest me in the slightest so this is no loss. Good to hear they are going cruelty-free though! 😊
Oh I didnt know that, let me check it out now - I do think an unscented version would be better for sure. Thanks for the heads up and I hope all is amazing with you :) x
Hi Rob. I have a question. I came across a skin care brand I've never heard of... Have you heard of a skincare brand named Fig? I was looking at their products, and many seem worth a try, especially their brightening serum. It lists the actives as Tranexamic Acid, Niacinimide, Alpha Arbutin, and Azalaic Acid. All that in one product justifies the higher cost ( mid range $30) IF the actives are in a high enough percentage to be effective. ❤
HI hun, lovely to hear from you, how have you been? I have never heard of them but that ingredient list sounds amazing so I will check them out now for sure.. love x
@MadAboutSkin There is a limited product availability, but the formulations look good. I just came across it again, and it's created by a derm/doctor. It's Fig. 1 not fig like fruit. 😂 Oops. The azelaic acid is only 1% but the Naicinimide is around 5%, T Acid is 3%, alpha arbutin around 1%... so quite gentle, but good ingredients, and they're utilizing refills for some products. Not sure if it's Korean, but I feel like the K brands have really stepped up their actives for our western market. So many new products! I didn't think I would even think about switching from Skin 1004 brightening products, but I may have been wrong. 😂 My willpower just flushed itself down the toilet!
I would've tried this product, but the ingredients don't suit the price for me. It's too expensive for what it is imo. Nearly $40 for niacinamide (that's already in EVERYTHING), a peptide (in numerous products), a vitamin C derivative (when there are tons of better brightening ingredients), and lactic acid. I can't get behind it, but I would've tried it had it been about half the price lol. And above all, I don't use ANY products with mica--I want to see MY skin, not glitter.
Hiy Rob , my name is paula from the Nederlands, you no somuch of skincare and i dont i look over and over again but really am lost im 56 and my skin is old sagging wrinkels and when a look at myzelf i hate it and i have combo skin please can you tell me for a good cleansing, moisturizers and a serum please am sensitieve i hope you can name som products that make it a little better thankyou paula
Hmm, i am not i will be trying it. I have other serums that have all of those actives, also not cruelty free. Also too much fragrance dies not work for me
Well don’t try the LaNiege overnight firming mask then because they claim it’s a veritable face plumper lift in a jar and it just really isn’t. I’m actually retuning it to Sephora & giving a piece of my mind & experience lol. I hate Olay products, always have. Plus their commercials bug me.
Why does Olay spend so much money on the hype, advertising etc they could use that money to use great ingredients and better products. They still use eg Liquid paraffin, alcohol, perfume etc plus NOT CRUELTY FREE in 2024 shame on them 😢🧡
I didn’t try it. I wasn’t I impressed with the combination of ingredients, I can find those ingredients in my skincare collection without knowing how much of said actives are in it. The fragrance and glowy mica sparkles turn me off, as did the commercials/reviews. I think the people who saw the best results weren’t using multiple actives in a skincare routine.
I felt that too; but believe it can work, for how it can provide necessary education, in an arena where many have saturated exposure to just a very narrow 'trendy market. I have/ will Never buy or use Olay (brand 'NEWly cruelty free- or not).
Oil of Olay is the #1 OTC selling in the USA. It has been foe several years now. I think this serum will be very good, I haven't tried it yet though. I like Skinn products a lot been using them for years too. I do facials, chemical peels, red light & micro-current on myself & friends. So I tend to use a lot of serums packed w peptides.
I purchased this when it came out. I won't repurchase. Other products are better and less expensive. My biggest dislike was the packaging. I don't like the dropper or the frosty glass . Even the shape of the bottle and the label. I'm with you, Numbuzin is much better and many of their products are pump.
If they proclaim 'Cruelty Free'- Never still; not buyin it. They're 'BrandNew to any semblance of that as a buy in game (with loopholes) & it's too little, too late. We've no time or need for that~ when sO many better brands surround. And- THEY STOLE ROB'S "SUPER SERUM" name to gain... & that is GROSS. Trying to sneak into his hard earned algorithm. Nah. Nope. NO thanks.

Lab muffin Michelle loved it.
Godspeed
Dee
Thanks so much for this review, Rob. I didn’t know Olay was not cruelty free- so good to know. You are so right, there is no excuse for Animal Testing in this day and age!
I agree Hun and I hope more brands will go cruelty free in the next year xx
Just got this bottle today for $3 at the Bin Diggin store. Excited to try it!
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
This product has been available in the USA for much longer than 2 or 3 months. I think it's been almost a year here in the USA.
Thnaks
SILICONE AND PERFUME?! No, thank you. Typical Oil of Olay.
I wouldnt even bother cause i had a feeling the amount of actives in this is possibly minimal otherwise they would tell us the percentages xx
Very interesting! Let's wait till Olay turns into a cruelty free brand then...
I’m curious about this product - can’t wait to hear what you think!
I am so out of the loop. Never heard of it 😂 but Olay also doesn't interest me in the slightest so this is no loss. Good to hear they are going cruelty-free though! 😊
Love your channel!!
It seems to me there is an unscented version of this serum (the 'Night' version)😊
Oh I didnt know that, let me check it out now - I do think an unscented version would be better for sure. Thanks for the heads up and I hope all is amazing with you :) x
Yes it’s called super serum night repair, fragrance free
I'm in the US and never heard of this product until now. Not sure how truly popular this is...
Roy I’ll never even thinking purchasing something product from Olay ❤❤
I use it & I love it. I just purchased my second bottle of Serum yesterday.
Thanks for watching and sharing x
I would've tried this product, but the ingredients don't suit the price for me. It's too expensive for what it is imo. Nearly $40 for niacinamide (that's already in EVERYTHING), a peptide (in numerous products), a vitamin C derivative (when there are tons of better brightening ingredients), and lactic acid. I can't get behind it, but I would've tried it had it been about half the price lol. And above all, I don't use ANY products with mica--I want to see MY skin, not glitter.
I have been using this few a months now and I’ve never noticed a fragrance 😢
And I had no idea they were not cruelty free 😭😭
Hiy Rob , my name is paula from the Nederlands, you no somuch of skincare and i dont i look over and over again but really am lost im 56 and my skin is old sagging wrinkels and when a look at myzelf i hate it and i have combo skin please can you tell me for a good cleansing, moisturizers and a serum please am sensitieve i hope you can name som products that make it a little better thankyou paula
Hmm, i am not i will be trying it. I have other serums that have all of those actives, also not cruelty free. Also too much fragrance dies not work for me
You're right about the outdated look it's like back to the 90s. I like the thought of 5 in one. That can save 💰.
I know right lol it looks so dated x
Im using this serum and their Night Super Serum. I haven't noticed much fragrance, though. Overall, I like both.
It’s available in europe
I hate the packaging lol... Might try if they go cruelty free though X
Olay isn’t cruelty free I believe so I wouldn’t touch any brand who support animal suffering
Haha I thought the same with the laniege one.. love x
Do you think you can wear this at night with your retin A?
Hi hun, yes I think you could but just be careful to check for irritation and make sure there is none.. love x
Love deep dives 👍
Thank you so much hun and more coming up :) love x
Happy Tuesday all
Why does Olay spend so much money on the hype, advertising etc they could use that money to use great ingredients and better products.
They still use eg Liquid paraffin, alcohol, perfume etc plus NOT CRUELTY FREE in 2024 shame on them 😢🧡
Bakuchiol ha sido la solución real para mi piel muy sensible y reactiva. 100% recomendable.
I use it and love it!
thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts.. love x
am I nuts? this serum has been out in the US for ages.
It can take years for products to be available in smaller countries like Australia.
Everyone wants to know about this! I can't wait to hear what you say :)
thank you so much hun and thank you for watching x
I didn’t try it. I wasn’t I impressed with the combination of ingredients, I can find those ingredients in my skincare collection without knowing how much of said actives are in it. The fragrance and glowy mica sparkles turn me off, as did the commercials/reviews. I think the people who saw the best results weren’t using multiple actives in a skincare routine.
I tried it and it is NOT worth the price. It is NOT a facelift in a bottle.
👋 hadn’t heard of it 🙉 but that’s why I 🧡 u, keeping me up on all the news … new G&G serum nxt?! ☺️ xx ps. Won’t be buying 🙂↔️
OMG they have sent me it and I cant wait to try the new G&G one - I dont even know what it is yet but I am so excited.. ;love xxxxxx
I was underwhelmed. I took it on a wek long vacation with the 5+ to use at night in a streamlined routine. I came back home with 2 pimples😭😭😭
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts x
I'm surprised you've even reviewed this, Rob.
I felt that too; but believe it can work, for how it can provide necessary education, in an arena where many have saturated exposure to just a very narrow 'trendy market. I have/ will Never buy or use Olay (brand 'NEWly cruelty free- or not).
Is this serum hypoallergenic
not sure I would check with the brand.. love x
Not fan of Olay product ,,,overrated most of they product
Can you review the medicube pro device? Its hard to find honest reviews on that as well.
I will check it out for sure xx
A firm no from me! I don’t need any help with the glowy (greasy) look😂!! ❤
OMG I know tell me about it.. I can get this look for free after 30 mins lol I dont need to pay for it :) xx
This is my first time using it so I'll update soon
Hope it works well for you hun - keep us posted x
Well, at least the bottle is well rounded.
😅
Haha love this comment x
Is oley not animal tested any more? I thought Rob only reviewed non animal testing 🤔
Hi, Rob only uses cruelty free products. He mentions in this video that he won't be buying it or using it and suggests a cruelty free alternative.
I'm loyal to elf as a brand. Olay probably isn't bad but its not cruelty free.
I think Elf is so so much better and its cheaper which is a win :) love x
Is it pregnancy safe?
I would check with the brand and your heathcare professional.. love x
It's a no I think
I’m so addicted to it
so glad you enjoyed hun x
If they proclaim 'Cruelty Free'- Never still; not buyin it. They're 'BrandNew to any semblance of that as a buy in game (with loopholes) & it's too little, too late. We've no time or need for that~ when sO many better brands surround. And- THEY STOLE ROB'S "SUPER SERUM" name to gain... & that is GROSS. Trying to sneak into his hard earned algorithm. Nah. Nope. NO thanks.
I never buy anything that is promoted endlessly or uses a famous person to advertise it.
I think this is a good practice to follow as I like products that spread with word of mouth.. love x
I try to avoid any skincare products containing dimethicone/silicone, so I won't be making a purchase.
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts x
I'll wait for them to be cruelty free.
I am the same xx
Definitely won't be trying. I've had too many bad experiences with Olay products--overpriced and low quality. xx
I may be punishing myself, but any time I see this much hype around a product I assume it's snake oil 😝😝
I live on a farm with slimey rats and mice I don’t worry about them, the only put the products on them they don’t skin them alive or anything! 😂
