It’s amazing how slow they go for most of the race. They don’t really start racing until the last 3rd of the race. It’s basically just a tour for the first 2/3rds. When I used to do long mountain bike races in Alaska, we were racing from the start and it would go for 60-90 miles.

yes when i ride my bike to the shops i ride flat out 100% all the time
Slow is like 40kph..
Only the last 90 k is live on tv. When the helicopter goes up they start racing.
