Cool pet store. If he was local I would have gotten that Savanah monitor. I used to own one. Had to move into a smaller home so I gave him away. He was a big boy too. It was several years ago. Hey I saw this and thought you might be interest.
Ms. Jennifer arrived at the shelter on May 9 after her owner became sick was unable to care for her. The owner, said Halpin, a resident of Waltham, Massachusetts, later passed away.
“Ms. Jennifer is the tenth animal to be surrendered to the MSPCA because their owners either died of COVID-19 complications, fell too ill to care for them or were financially devastated by the ongoing pandemic,” Halpin said.
The tortoise, said Halpin, turned 53 on Wednesday, with MSPCA staffers hosting a birthday party for her adoption center in Jamaica Plain. She enjoyed some time outside, fruit salad, “a special dandelion cake,” plus lots of attention and affection.

Blake since you live in the 305 & 954 area code, have you heard of a tiny pet shop that has been operating since around 1980 or before called "Something Fishy" in North Miami. I know they relocated one time but on the same street if 125th. Street in north Miami since they opened. The reason I brought them up is since day one, though they are a small store, they have always kept reptiles in their collection since 1980. My family reported buying their first reptiles from this store. For 40 years and growing in reptiles by this one pet shop is amazing.
I heard a bit to many "I don't knows" for my liking, that's not what you want to hear from a pet shop. Don't expect them to know everything, but i do expect them to say to a buyer, this is etc, and this comes from etc, so needs etc. If you don't know what it is, or where it's from, how can you replicate the need heat and humidity for the species while it's in your care before being sold. The stone size not wise for the pixie frogs, due to the way they strike at there pray. If any of them engulf any of them stones there in for a hard time as frogs can't vomit, and as a result the frogs will bring up there stomach out there mouth.

This video sucked and was very disheartening. The substrate, lighting/uvb, size of enclosure, humidity etc. was off. I always am in support of mom and pop shops rather than corporate chains like petco/smart, but these guys are just as bad. I love reptiles. I own argentine red tegu, bearded dragon, nile monitor, tiger salamander, axolotls, turtles, tortoises, snakes, but never will keep something I haven't immensely studied and read everything I could possibly read. So many of these animals probably were bought and went to the wrong home with the wrong enclosure with the wrong husbandry.

Hey Blake, I love it
This literally was such a disheartening video. I'm all for supporting "mom and pop shops" instead of Petco/Petsmart, but these people are just as bad if not worse. The lighting/humidity/substrate/enclosure size/uvb/heat for most of these reptiles is so wrong. My heart hurts for these animals. Especially the niles stacked up, the tarantulas and crabs stuck in cups. The legless lizard was quite thin. You never want to hear "I don't know/I think so/I'm not sure" from someone who works in a pet shop. As someone who loves animals, especially reptiles and fish this sucks. I have a nile, argentine red tegu, tortoises, turtles, snakes, bearded dragon, tiger salamander etc amongst other pets I just want to go in this shop and educate. Google isn't hard, man. Learn and study what you keep.
They're flippers. Buy everything from Florida in bulk, transport up, slap a nice price on and get rid of as quickly as possible before it dies.

I have my first ever pet tarantula, and even with minimal research I didn't treat him this bad. My heart literally broke when he said he didn't care what people did with it. I am thinking of opening my own exotic pet store, but my biggest fear is selling to people who may abuse the animals. Or buy them for wrong reasons...
We got those no leg lizards in Poland. They usually come out when its worm and they love to hide under the garbage

I have a plated lizard they come from Africa and are omnivores my one isn't a giant plated lizard but a Sudan plated lizard but they still all come from Africa they are really amazing and are just a plaited version of a skink

Plated lizards are usually found in southern and eastern Africa and live in rocky dry habits and they also are usually found in termite mounds.

Flat rock lizards come from Zimbabwe, North Province, Mpumalanga, southern Malawi, eastern Botswana, Swaziland, Mozambique, and northern KwaZulu-Natal (Africa).

Hi I have a fowerhorn fish and it's not eating food from 1 month and I am feeding only fresh prawns every day. I changed the water and Heater was kept at 30 degrees and also used stress heal medicine also but no use. It's only eating prawns and not even looking at pellets so can u let me know what to do. Can I feed prawns every day. I heard it's not good to feed prawns.
