  • There's a competition for your heart. A Rival that’s fiercely vying for your time, attention, and resources - tempting you to close your grip. How do you win this battle? How do you overcome? The victory is found in trusting, and freedom is found in releasing control.
Tune in to our CCV Online church experience streaming from Phoenix Arizona and hear from CCV's Senior Pastor, Ashley Wooldridge, as he talks about one of the greatest teachings of Jesus that is often overlooked. Jesus is the only person in the New Testament to use the word “mammon”. In Matthew 6:24, Jesus says, “No one can serve two masters.”. Serving means to put yourself under the authority of someone else and let them drive your decision making. Who are you allowing to call those shots, if not Jesus? You cannot serve both God and Mammon. You’re probably wondering “what is Mammon?”. The root word for Mammon is, “this in which one trusts.” Mammon represents a false god that promises and can never deliver on those promises. Mammon promises security, identity, and an overall happier life through the usage of our funds. We encourage you to flip your focus from consuming to giving and take a deep look into who you are currently choosing to trust with your life, God or Mammon?
