- Here's a Eddie Murphy interview with Barbara Walters Video Recorded off a Beta Tape it was Recorded off a TV Antenna so the picture is not that great but at least we get to see this Rare Video so here it is i hope you Enjoy the Video.
At that time Eddie was the biggest movie star in the world
Facts. People forget bc of his slump starting in '89 but every one of Eddie's movies since his debut film made big money in the box office. 48 Hrs. and Trading Places were 7th and 4th in the domestic box office in the year they were released while Beverly Hills Cop was #1 worldwide in 1984.
Even some of the movies that weren't critically acclaimed like Golden Child was #8 in 1986 and BH2 was #3 in 1987 (and broke Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom's record for highest grossing opening weekend and was surpassed 2 years later by The Last Crusade) in the domestic box office while Coming to America was #3 worldwide in 1988. Another 48 Hrs. was also the 14th highest grossing film internationally in 1990 and Raw was the highest grossing concert film (unadjusted for inflation) until Taylor Swift's movie last year.

I didn't think his slump started until 1993. I mean, Boomerang was still pretty successful.
He said he’s make 3 kids at that time. Little did we know he’d become quite the fellow with 10 kids
Eddie Murphy is The Greatest StandUp Comedian Actor Ever 🎥📽️🎞️🎬🎭🎟️🎫🎤😂😂😂😂
Ahhh amazing for uploading this. We need this Eddie Murphy back
Thanks glad you liked it
Eddie was gonna do Fences? That would've been dope.
Amazing he had the rights to fences
I want his old trademark laughter back.
RIP Barbara
Fences is by a famous black author. Very popular so it makes sense that Eddie would be interested in his work.
Eddie Murphy Inc. Eddie is right about Hollywood you can go out there, but when you get back home take a shower 🚿 to get rid of the cooties from Burbank. 👏👏👏Hercules Hercules Hercules 👏👏👏😅😆
The fact that Barbara is smaller than Eddie. 😂
I wish it was me doing the interview... 😊
its a cool video thanks for sharing your thoughts
That little video of him with Charlie is so cute 🥰

Oh... 🤔🤔
decent interview
So I looked up the movie 'Fences' after this... starring Denzel lol.
When Paramount Studios originally acquired the film rights to the play in 1987 with the involvement of Eddie Murphy, it was largely due to Murphy wanting to take on a more "serious" film role: that of 17-year-old Cory. However, in 1987, Murphy was already a full decade older than the character of Cory, and the many filming delays meant that Murphy quickly aged out of eligibility for the role.
looking for the first interview they did when had little furniture in his new home
The quality looks better than VHS
it is but being recorded off a antana the broadcast was not that great but yes Beta was way better thin VHS due to faster recording speed even in Beta 2 and the larger video heads allow the VCR to record more detail on the tape
@@thebetamaxman8905 On what decks have you tried playing this tape back? I'm rather shocked by how colors like red has a lot of what I call "purple noise". And I *also* know how different a tape can look depending on the unit it's played back on.
I once had a quite worn out copy of OMEN II. While it looked like utter crap on my SL-HF100, it looked rather OK on my SL-F1 (yeah, I live in PAL territory). The SL-F1 had less video grain, less noise, better dropout compensation and far better color reproduction. Only downside was in regards to audio - the SL-F1 is a mono deck, the SL-HF100 an FM hifi deck.
The picture quality of Betamax is just so much better than VHS and one can clearly see that ! 👍
they should play this if he ever wins an oscar.
The Betamax Man, you're The Man!
Thanks for this upload.

Who cares
he looks so different compared to know i know he older, but his facial structure is so different
When he smiles, you'll see the old Eddie.
His mom has serious interior design skills
For real 💯💯
I bet his college sweet heart still thinks about him
Young Eddie was silly
