    Thanks so much, love your videos, super useful! I’m planning a trip to both Augrabies and Kgalagadi in September of next year. Ive started planning and researching now, clearly very excited!

    Love the Northern Cape and all the arid parks. Would revisit Augrabies Falls many times, easily.

    Would love to visit in peak flow time, February as you mention, and see the floods in their full glory.

    Another gem I didn't really know about. At sunrise those falls look incredible. Thanks for the helpful info regarding the best times to visit them, as well as the road conditions. Seems like my little Renault would be just fine 😉 Would loved to come up, and that Oranja Gorge cottage sounds like one that the wife might appreciate!! 👍👍

      Definitely no problem for the Renault. The gorge cottage is in an amazing location, wish we had known about it in advance. We'd like to go back and stay there.
      Thanks for the feedback 👍🏾

    Interesting as always. If you stay in the parks accommodation is there a camp gate open/close time? What's to stop you wandering down to the falls under moonlight for example? I was thinking of staying outside the park, but I am now thinking of staying in the SANparks chalets. I only have one night and we are arriving there from Bloubergstrand! Long drive! The next day we need to be at Urikaruus.

      Sometimes the lights are on at the falls and you can walk down there. I don't know how they decide which days those are. It's definitely one of the advantages of staying onsite that allows you to get sunrise and sunset views without having to stress about gate times.

      @@TravelGigolo I did email the camp and they gave me times but I think the sunset is after the gate closing time :-(

    we went there for a 3 day hike last week not hot nearest town is not what he say it is we live close to 40 km from it but the park is way better if you see it your self the cam makes it look bad to what it really looks like that place is so pretty

    • @TravelGigolo
      @TravelGigolo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You went there in mid winter, at the coldest time of the year, perhaps that's why it was not hot. Temperatures get up to 40°C in summer.
      Thanks for your comments. Feedback is always appreciated.
