I like how Yoriko was so captivated by Melt's performance, the fact that Melt was able to emotionally move her when she despised what he did to her character really emphasizes how overwhelmingly radiant Melt's acting was. Her eyes were dead and he brought life back to them.
I wonder if it was a way for the producer to save face in case Melt didn't pull through with a good performance. Rather than admitting he was wrong, the producer could say Melt was a nepo-hire if Melt didn't perform well.
@@fc3sturbogtr it’s not nepotism lol. he’s one of his talents, he has a bias sure but it’s his job to promote artists and cast them. It’s not like they have any other relations outside of work. He was tasked to cast people from his roster, he got people who he used to cast that fit the role. Kana and Aqua got the role in the same way Melt did.
@@Wo_SH If Melt didn't pull though likely he would have just said he overestimated him at the time. He got enough actors with great skill level that a single mediocre performance of a side character would almost certainly be overlooked. So in most of the worst cases it's not really a big deal to the producers career. While in the better cases he gets an actor he likes more experience for him to network later.
I've watched so many reactions to this ep and the amount of people who are saying melt is there fav character now makes me so happy cause I felt like in s1 literally no one cared about his character.
While Melt wasn’t my favorite, I always felt terrible for the amount of hate that went his way. I mean, just look at how unforgiving the audience was. Shouldn’t we be better than this?! Everyone did what they criticized the online people for doing to Akane. It was his first acting job. He wasn’t prepared properly, and the script was terrible. Director didn’t even care about the acting. It was unfair to use him as a scapegoat. Shame on y’all.
I’m gonna be honest with you guys, I haven’t really been hyped for this arc all that much, and I think it’s going to be my least favorite of all. I don’t know why, but I just can’t understand what’s even happening on screen. And this honestly just looks like a Jumbled Chaotic Mess at this point. Love your reactions still and I hope you guys can at least enjoy it.
That's unfortunate man, I honestly think this is one of the best arcs of oshi no ko. Maybe you're just burnt out by it cuz you were hooked by the revenge plot and there isn't really much revenge going on? In any case, I hope you can enjoy the next arcs more if you're gonna continue watching. Edit: And maybe the last ep of the arc can change your evaluation of it just a little bit I hope.
Imo this season/arc is enjoyable and I think it's more like to keep ya from burn out(?) fer next arc (if ya read the manga yk already) if the anime get the continuousion that is
I would recommend the manga if you really wanna get back to the “plot” it’s paced faster for sure but wow the anime adaptation has gone above and beyond I honestly have been blown away by the anime as a manga reader but hey if it’s not your thing can’t do much about it

I'm not gonna lie. After this peak fiction episode, Melt is my guy... He genuinely moved my soul.
Oshi no ko really said nah, animating isn't hard enough, let's animate a PLAY.
" for this one minute . Stage will be mine". That moved me
That production went absolutely crazy! The animation is only getting crispier with this stage play lol
Mengo Yokoyari (the co-mangaka for Oshi no Ko) tweeted that she was a crying mess when she saw this episode 😭
That episode was just wonderful ❤
Incredible episode. I love Melt's super subtle smile after his performance. I only noticed it after rewatching
Beltz, Meltz and Melt. Epic episode
7:50 A producer just casually explaining nepotism in show business.
Myself and everyone: Oh no. *Anyways* omg Melt stole the show this episode!
