I'd almost certainly imagine that Aka Akasaka is taking IRL examples and applying them to OnK. For instance, just in S1 alone Sweet Today being a horrible live action adaptation of a manga is supposedly based on the horrible live action adaptation of his own series Kaguya-sama, and Akane's near-suicide is based on the real life suicide of the female pro wrestler Hana Kimura who went through very similar circumstances. And while the next example would have happened after it was written in the OnK manga, Yuki Tabata, the mangaka of Black Clover, is currently going through some very similar circumstances that Samejima is going through. Up until about a year-ish ago, Black Clover was a weekly manga, until Yuki Tabata's health went downhill and as a result, after a several month hiatus, Black Clover then became a monthly manga. After those few months something else went wrong in Tabata's life and Black Clover went back on hiatus, and will finally release a new chapter in a month or two for the first time in a very long time. And it's not the only example - for another example, I can't even remember the last time Kakegurui released a new manga chapter - it's been at least 6 months.
Correction on Tabata Sensei, he moved from Weekly Jump to Giga Jump due to his health and family reasons, Giga Jump is published every four months. So the next chapter of Black Clover should come out sometime next month since the last two chapters were in April.

I'm not usually the type to care about stuff like this, but I feel like there's a certain group of people who might really appreciate how Autism-sensei is written. Weird habits like the teeth brushing (due to feeling physically uncomfortable with remains of food after a meal, something most people would never notice or think about), obsessive about a particular interest to the point she loses track of everything else around her, struggling to communicate with people and fit in, insecure and shy yet brutally blunt when she cares, immediately clinging to the person who's willing to bond with her gently and patiently, and - here's something I really take away from her perfectionism - clinging compulsively to her means of being accepted by other people. I think it's extremely telling that Autism-sensei is portrayed as viciously uncompromising when it comes to her manga, yet we also learn that she IS allowing the readers' widespread opinions to influence the story in big ways. It's not the creative integrity of her work that's the main priority here, it's her work - and by extension herself - not losing the people out there who she feels give her worth. I think many people miss that element and just view it as a story about perfectionism and "self-reliance gone too far" in general. Which it is, of course, but the bigger picture behind it is being painted pretty clearly here and deserves to be acknowledged too.
Well, Aka Akasaka did have a live adaption for kaguya and it was NOT good. I seem to remember him being a bit angry about it, but my source on that isnt exactly perfect.
I genuinely don’t understand why she judges characters from their surface level traits lol you can tell that abiko-sensei has huge respect for her mentor and basically put her on a pedestal and that’s why she was so mad at her work being tarnished bcoz how much she got inspired by it even if she was being rude to her.
If you really want context for all of this, you should watch the live-action Kaguya-sama adaption, and try to understand what Aka must have felt like working on it x
If im not wrong this episode made significant waves in JP due to a quite recent incident involving an original manga author and the production team adapting their work; lets just say this episode's conflict reflects what happened... But with a tragic end instead as the author unfortunately self exited this world as their own wishes as a creator was not respected
I dunno why but I’m not digging season 2 as much as I thought I would. I liked season 1’s focus on the mystery and drama, but S2 seems to be focused on theater and managers/manga? The new characters seemed shoe horned in too, I dunno is it just me?
