I got back into the game 2 weeks ago. I started at Gold 2 and I just solo que climbed to diamond 1. One thing that helped me as a sentinel main was to understand the power of staying alive and having presence(especially as a killjoy main) I realize being more patient and knowing my role is all I needed to win and be consistent
The blaming his teammates mentality might be his problem, I meet a lot of condescending overconfident players in gold elo that don't realize they're the main reason we are loosing the game even though they might be better players.

Agreed. I don’t play ranked Val, I only really play for fun, but I can defo say that if I’m in an unrated or spike rush game and someone is toxic about my gameplay or someone else’s, I completely check out. I will sometimes pop off or help someone else pop off and make them look like an idiot, but I mostly just check out. It’s extremely unnecessary to be toxic, even if the game is your livelihood and how you earn a living. At the end of the day, gaming for me (and most others) is about chilling and having fun to take my mind off of the mundanities of life.
I lowkey like this types of videos, I like to see how people play and say what kind of rank they deserve and then we all observe the player in play with people who are the rank he/she thinks they deserve.
I think his current rank suits him. His aim is very good but he is lacking a lot of game sense or he panics to much. Half of the time he gets lost in the middle of the site and bring out his abilities (probably from panicking) . Ones his game sense gets better he gonna climb the ranks fast.

@@ehsanlol4478 yeah that too theres more mics and less toxicity and throwing as for the smurfing I had a week straight where I got them in like 80% of my games and lost plat 2 and went to silver 3 over 2 weeks and then they just disappeared and I got 0 for 3 days and I climbed back up to plat 2 because I was on like a 15 win streak. it was only a few days ago that happened and I still dont know why, I rarely ran into smurfs ever then they just appeared in numbers like mosquitoes and then just vanished a week later. I gotta thank them in a way because I'm almost diamond and I think running against them improved my skill lmao
VR esports captain here, I have a presentation that I give to my players occasionally about the two sides to any match. A shooter like this is like a poker game with betting. There are two halves of that game. The actual cards which represent game skill, and the betting and bluffing which represent the game sense. A team can have a really good hand, like pocket Jack's or aces, which shows they have very good shooters. But even if you have a shit hand (mediocre aim), how you play the hand is equally important. If you can bluff out the player with the pocket aces into thinking you have a better hand, by betting high or fake tells, you can psyche them into folding. This is just like how game sense can turn the tide of any game. If you have bad shooters, then you can run fakes, use your utility to cover angles, and even force 3 v 1s onto unsuspecting enemies. You can do A LOT with a bad hand. You can also fuck up a GREAT hand. You can have really good spray control and shot placement, but that doesn't matter if you're flashed and being pinched by a lurk from behind. And that's why my team drills callouts, plays, and util more than just good shot placement. The end of my presentation usually is on how they have a good hand. They're just tipping it to the other players at the table, and their poker face is obvious. When you're able to play a bad hand against a good hand, they're is no stopping you once you have a good hand.
#1 issue imo is util use. As an initiator, if your duelist is already clearing site before you used your first ability then you failed your role (24:06). That ascent match showed them being stuck in a/b main alot. It is your job as the initiator to invest util so your team can take that space. That first round on breeze was good (the dog's info won you the round). To improve, I watched a radiant play my agent (not highlights but entire matches to see how he uses util). Ever since my team has never been denied a/b main control on ascent. When I play split, my teammate never gets one tapped as they peek b main. As an initiator, it's my responsibility to communicate so they wait for my util (if they don't wait then it isn't your fault but you have to make the effort to communicate).
I just leveled up to Gold 1 today, I'm somewhat a new player to FPS games and don't exactly have great aim. And these tips are great, I see myself making the same mistakes this Skye is making, as in taking fights that I shouldn't or being impatient. I think this video clearly explains what I need to work on to improve. Great video!

Eggwick isn’t wrong I had an easier time climbing from s3 to p3 as a smokes sentinel and intiator main but I did play duelist occasionally when no one else went duelist
yeah, I never duelist xD idk, I find it easier to frag out when it's a character with info, or a good flash I can peek off of, or a controller since I can smoke off angles and try to isolate 1v1's
@@ori4192 me too i start in the trenches of iron 1 and i slow climbed my way out maining intiators and sage and got to s3 and now I'm hardstuck 💀. I don't get a lot of kills but my winrate is 60% which is pretty high and one of my friends also hardstuck and has a kd of 1.6 and he team/match mvps every 3rd game or so and i am always close to the bottom my friend's wr is basically never over 50% and my stats are incredibly grim (bottom 30% or so for all except hs% and wr) but unlike him i comm and use my util for my team and have way better game since than him he is hardstuck cause he releys solely on his aim and literally rages every game and has the worlds worst mental and says stuff like "lets ff on round 5" when we lost the first 3 rounds
He rages constantly and dcs in games and that why I stopped being in a trio with him and started douing with the other person but other person has now climbed to dia :(

honestly I was hard stuck gold for like 2 episodes and I was blaming my teammates which made me really toxic to them for no reason, but once I accepted them as my teammates and started to hype them up, be nice to them, and just not blame them, I was able to rank up to diamond in one act, and now I'm immo 2 so I think his problem might just be the fact that he doesn't trust his teammates
@@leejameson8419 it wasn't really one act that was an exaggeration maybe like 1.5 or 2 acts I hit d1 but the point is that I was able to rank up a lot easier once I stopped blaming them for everything and started accepting my mistakes so that I could work on them.

What low elos dont understand is that, in high elo, you would expect that everyone would have great aim/mechanics, and that game sense is what separates each rank once u get past gold or plat. Basically the decision making right, what you should or shouldn't have done in particular situations. I think that people who are hardstuck below plat elo and complains about it are the ones who are "brainless aimers". They have decent enough mechanics to go against high ranks but they just haven't developed their game sense yet. Of course if you have mechanics like tenz I would believe u could easily get to diamond carrying, but u will probably slow down there.
its about consistency, everyone have good days and bad days, a bronze might be a god one day destroying golds and plat, but given enough games a gold or plat will always come on top, that is what the rank system is. even if you performed like a radiant in one of your games in your silver lobby you wont be promoted immediately, its about consistency that separate ranks in my opinion.

Being a silver 3 i do outfrag my ascendant 1 and plat 1 teammates quite some times or out aim them/be on par with them in deathmatches but i absolutely have matches where i bott frag hard or go like -10 or more. So while yes i can get ublucky with teammates , i am s3 absolutely for my consistency issues.
Ascendant is full of actual new players. Horrific gamesense is incredibly common there, levels of cluelessness are unmatched. Whether it's an immortal or diamond lobby, ascendants are performing by far the worst 90% of the time.
I think lower ranked players thinks that it’s all about kills, which makes them think they deserve better when in reality it’s team play and confidence
Personally I think insane aimers can carry themselves all the way to ascendant but you for sure need decent game sense to climb out and hit immortal/radiant. I saw too many times this gold player was caught out in the open with util and or just straight up lost in the sauce. With a different mindset I think this player can easily get to the higher ranks.
Im mediocre at everything and still ascendant. I think people just skip out on important skills and thats what keeps them low elo. Things like taking responsibility for losses, deaths etc. Analyzing failures, improving aim, improving movement, using comms, playing enough games, practicing in deathmatch, fulfilling your agents role in the team, being a leader in-game. Just being consistent with these will make you climb. I do all of them poorly but well enough and consistently that I climbed over time.
i’m usually not one to say “i deserve ___ as a rank”… but i only play unrated.. i should play more comp. i get asked my rank and when i say G3 people say “no way” or “how”.. because i did placements with the boys. i have multiple top 0.1% rankings on aim labs, and my tracker stats (MarkuzJr#TTV) say i’m in the top 2-10% for multiple things. i think i need to work on better teamwork. even tho i’m the one always on the mic, making space, getting onto site, as my teammates die and use no util, besides that i have the aim needed, i have good gamesense, i just don’t have teammates 🙃 edit : i’ll start working on playing with the team, playing my part, and having a good mindset. deleting ego.exe :)
In my opinion as a Immortal Skye main, his aim is fine, I’ve seen worse aim in Immortal lobbies, his usage of utility and flash control definitely needs work. Not fully sure if he’s a Skye main since he seems hesitant on when to peak after flashing and he did flash into walls a few times, I would say he could probably do fine in Plat 2-3, maybe work on until more.
I would say high gold, his decision-making lacks a lot for a plat player. He's constantly playing bad angles and getting caught up in the worst positions. I'm an immortal Astra main so I'm usually aware of where I am on the map
9:19 I think instead of concussing the jett and killing the dog, he pings the jett to tell the team he is there and then go further into backsite to look for more info. Reason for not concussing is the team is too far to trade off of the concuss and yes, it slows the jett and it doesn’t let her escape as easily but they still have their dash so they can just dash out as we can see
I'm bronze player and watching him in ascendant lobby reminds me when I play with my gold friends. I always try to not get into stupid situations but I somehow end up there anyway. When I'm calm, I never expose myself to different angles and I guess this guy too (unless I'm actually gold and not bronze). But when the havoc begins, you just lose yourself and even though you know you shouldn't peek, run into open areas, you still do this or just do nothing and die with all your abilities up.
One of the most common mistakes in gold elo is that players are not playing off of their utility. They randomly spam everything and not move a single inch after using it.
if ur doing decent against 1 set of ascendants it doesnt qualify u to be that rank automatically since u already know their playstyle, this is exactly why ranked is the way it is, having to get many points to rank up and many matches, u get a wide variety of playstyles and opportunities to show how u adapt
His gameplay and game sense is pretty much on par with silver / gold / low plat players. His aim is not bad but it seems like he doesnt know what to do when hes being pushed or pushing into site. He might be decent in his elo but no way he climbs out of at least plat 2 by himself if anything. He just needs more experience and its a good thing he has ascendent friends to play with that helps him with that.
IMO, i think he’s placed decent in gold the fact that he mains initiator but dies immediately or not using the utilities properly like flashing for your team or properly checking corners and all of that. His aim is pretty decent but he should really check his own gameplay where he lacks and can improve its not just telling you should be placed here and there and not admitting your own mistakes, he also lacks fundamentals like checking corner, cancelling utils and holding angles overall he’s a good player
I played on an ascendant account for a couple games, I’m gold 1 on main account and gold 3 on alt account but peaked plat 1, now, the games i played, the results were 11-13 and 13-6, in the game I lost I played well 27/16/6 with an average damage of 258. The second match I was 14/9/4, so not as good but still deserving of a higher rank than my main account gives me. Sometimes I think the rank system is ignorant because I can’t leave g1 for the life of me, make an alt account that gets silver 2 and rank it up all the way to plat in an act yet my main is so stubborn and my rank won’t change. Then comes the opportunity to play a couple on ascendant - d3 lobbies and I do well both games, my teammates were none the wiser I wasn’t meant to be there
Gameplay-wise, their only issue is not wanting to take space into sites. They're too obsessed with winning the aim duels rather than sending util in and just sprinting it, which is much more difficult for enemies to react to. Once they learn how to run in, they can easily be Diamond.
I started playing Valorant 2 months ago, I am one win away from plat3 or so, tomorrow I plan on hitting Diamond 1 atleast. His aim, controls are high tier, better than me atleast. I am used to play competitive games, but as I am an older dude and never will get the mechanical skills and aim as good as many people, I focus on trying to outsmart and predict enemies next move, and play more unpredictable aswell. And when I pick agents like Skye, - I do not play the initiator role as expected, I more like see a selfsufficient agent. As an Attacker I usually play a lurker role, being able to scan for info with the utilities or put pressure on the other site of what my team is going. If the team decides to rotate I will hold their rotation path clear. As deffender I would play a little more unpredictable than he did,. As I analysed my own gameplay a little I noticed some of my old times friend who are stuck in Diamonds rank, (that I do not play with/or as I watched their streaming), the highest oddity is that they rush a lot of things, comparing my own games with same score kinda, my games are allways a few minutes longer. There is a whole video of me on my channel, me as a Silver 2, just raw footage if interrested., the only things I have improved since then is my communications, callouts and some mechanical skills. (That comes naturally). Hope eggwick will notice.
I have been hardstuck silver 1 - 2 for 7 acts now. Most of my friends are plat/high gold and I stack with them often. I tend to do well in these games. Usually I end up popping off. But not because of my aim. (it does help a bit tho) Its because my team is far more coordinated then a regular silver ranked lobby, so we can set up scenarios where our team is favoured and we can get the kills. Based of my experience queuing in lobbies that are all much higher ranks than me, I think I can say that there are a decent number of players stuck in low elo that deserve higher ranks, but simply cannot rank up because low elo lobbies have absolutely zero coordination. When put in a stack they perform well, when on their own they start botfragging in ranked again.
To add on to the best role to climb, its probably Sentinel. Why u may ask? First of all u can control multiple spots of the map (cypher cam, kj turret/bot, chamber trap, sage wall to block enemies of). That way u reduce the jobs of ur teammates and urself to always be aware of any angle. The second benefit is that u can and are allowed to lurk, playing on ur own can create space and is not as stressful as a duelist, initiator or smoker, because u can focus ok urself and if ur lurk is good you can communicate to ur team that u cleared b site for example and u can rotate free or u get a great pinch from behind, which can win a lot of rounds. And u can play passively of ur utility or teammates (besides chamber on defense, then u should take first duels in off angles and use ur tp to get out), which means ur don’t rely on ur skye flashing or ur jett entering site or ur brim smoking etc.. This independent playstyle only requires gamesense, if u got enough of that u will know when to lurk, when to go with the team etc. and then the Sentinel role will gift u wins in any elo.
If you play with your ascendant friend(s). It depends how many ascendants are in the lobby with you. If there is only 1 asc guy and rest of you are gold plat diamond. Then ofc the opposing team will be of the same caliber. So it doesnt generally mean that you can play in full fledged ascendant lobby.
I'm silver and I can tell you right away that one if his biggest problems is positioning. He gives up cover ans stands all the way in the open, and waits to die in the middle if the room.
He has no game sense there was many times he is just standing in the open exposed to so many angles and his aim is the only thing that makes him not 0-15 maybe he’s not comfortable with Skye or just very nervous but he’s probably in the rank he deserves
Egg, I think theres a problem here. as you are mostly spectating xd's team, the enemy team could be watching the stream and tell even with delay, it can help other team a lot. I dont really know how you guys made deals or what, but in case you didnt realize, which you probably did

I think Valorant ranks really arent as good as some people say: I was hardstuck bronze - silver for 2 acts, but got promoted to diamond in one act after, because I had luck with good mates and now I am playing the same as someone in silver and stay in diamond/plat .
Totally agree with low elos not being very patient. My teammates die so early in the game because they play so aggressively without having to. Especially when we've already planted and they go out to find the enemies only to die. Could've won the game if they waited
when people talk about sensitivity I always feel like I am crazy because I hear people using like 800 dpi + 0.1 - 0.8 sens whilst im sitting here with 800 dpi and 2.2 sens and finding it very normal

In all of these games the player in question’s team mostly carries them distorting the actual results. What you really need to do is find 5 players who think they should be X rank and have them all play against a team of that rank
The thing in low elo is that people always want only duelists to enter, like yea duelists should enter but they got it wrong i think lets say im reyna, the right thing is i flash we all go in or i go in and kill the one holding the entry to site, but then the team should follow me, but no in low elo they thing that i should go in empty site get everyone and then they should enter, which then makes it always easier to be in defender side, because when ur defender in low elo lets say 3 holding site, the low elo attackers never enter together so its always 3v1, after a few secs another 3v1, and also the attackers in low elo entry site so slow that lets say they go B, the ones holding A get to come to B before they are in site, which makes it harder to entry when neccessary due to time.
He is like your average egirl, plays good enough to get diamond, but it's always expecting for someone to carry him instead of improving his own mistakes.
I would recommend xd turn up your sens a bit you can see the clunkyness because you run out of room on his mouse pad turning up your sens enough to do a 360 is a great idea

I believe that even if his game sense is normally better, higher elo players have more experience and are less likely to panic and have shaky aim in a close match. You can tell he isn't bad and could definitely be plat, but no way he is ascendant level.
He was doing quite good in terms of ascendant lobby, if you ask me. Take into consideration, he was nervous, as he stated himself, which most likely tripped off his both aim/game sense altogether. But yeah, I agree that having supportive teammates, regardless of the outcome up till end, win-lose, it's game - no need to rile up if someone did worse/better than you. I personally hate some people in EU servers where people die first > spectate you clutch round and starts being toxic when you don't win. As unranked player, I can venture to guess same happens in ranked games, too? Anyways, toxicity is where game destruction comes in and sometimes you ought to not play it at all than play with some toxic baddies who think mentally they are radiants, yet push first site without any intel and die with spike dropped...
Really easy way to think of things is. If you put a pro player in the same situation, can they easily climb out (70-80% winrate)? Safe to say if you put someone like Yay or TenZ in a gold/plat lobby, they can play without a crosshair and 2x their sens and still carry games. If there's a will, there's a way. If your reason is "my teammates are bad", you deserve to be in that rank.
My first fps was cs 1.6 and I played it however lol, could only play with bots, then I got a bit into csgo and was a dum-dum because I thought pros played on 20k dpi since they bought mouse that has the feature and they would at least use 1 sensi right? So I tried to equalize by using my 1k dpi mouse and turning the sensi to 20. Valorant is the first game where I learned what edpi, peeking, utility usage etc. Is supposed to be lol, now I have play 1k dpi 0.38 much better than before
"That won't show up on the score board" - That is exactly why I hate people who think/say assists don't matter. Yes. In-fact - they do. That's exactly why there is a column for them. Kill hunting when you should be playing the objective with your team and/or top fragging and taking super unnecessary risks that cause your team to the lose the round don't show up on the stat-board and are just as bad, if not worse, then bottom fragging and contributing by using utility, setting up kills/trades/plays and providing information. I'll take a team player that utilizes his kit to the benefit of the team over a kill-hungry 'freelancer' any day of the week. The fact that his team is hyping him up shows a clear difference between elo's too. Low elo's will flame their ass off at the first sign of a mixup; high level elo's encourage their teammates most of the time and push them to play better or find avenues to help.

VR esports captain here, I have a presentation that I give to my players occasionally about the two sides to any match.
A shooter like this is like a poker game with betting. There are two halves of that game. The actual cards which represent game skill, and the betting and bluffing which represent the game sense.
A team can have a really good hand, like pocket Jack's or aces, which shows they have very good shooters. But even if you have a shit hand (mediocre aim), how you play the hand is equally important. If you can bluff out the player with the pocket aces into thinking you have a better hand, by betting high or fake tells, you can psyche them into folding.
This is just like how game sense can turn the tide of any game. If you have bad shooters, then you can run fakes, use your utility to cover angles, and even force 3 v 1s onto unsuspecting enemies. You can do A LOT with a bad hand. You can also fuck up a GREAT hand.
You can have really good spray control and shot placement, but that doesn't matter if you're flashed and being pinched by a lurk from behind. And that's why my team drills callouts, plays, and util more than just good shot placement.
The end of my presentation usually is on how they have a good hand. They're just tipping it to the other players at the table, and their poker face is obvious. When you're able to play a bad hand against a good hand, they're is no stopping you once you have a good hand.
#1 issue imo is util use. As an initiator, if your duelist is already clearing site before you used your first ability then you failed your role (24:06). That ascent match showed them being stuck in a/b main alot. It is your job as the initiator to invest util so your team can take that space. That first round on breeze was good (the dog's info won you the round).
To improve, I watched a radiant play my agent (not highlights but entire matches to see how he uses util). Ever since my team has never been denied a/b main control on ascent. When I play split, my teammate never gets one tapped as they peek b main. As an initiator, it's my responsibility to communicate so they wait for my util (if they don't wait then it isn't your fault but you have to make the effort to communicate).
I also noticed (idk if im just tripping or nitpicky) but he doesnt jump with his dog at the end of the meter, which could help in come cases?

@@ori4192 me too i start in the trenches of iron 1 and i slow climbed my way out maining intiators and sage and got to s3 and now I'm hardstuck 💀. I don't get a lot of kills but my winrate is 60% which is pretty high and one of my friends also hardstuck and has a kd of 1.6 and he team/match mvps every 3rd game or so and i am always close to the bottom my friend's wr is basically never over 50% and my stats are incredibly grim (bottom 30% or so for all except hs% and wr) but unlike him i comm and use my util for my team and have way better game since than him he is hardstuck cause he releys solely on his aim and literally rages every game and has the worlds worst mental and says stuff like "lets ff on round 5" when we lost the first 3 rounds
He rages constantly and dcs in games and that why I stopped being in a trio with him and started douing with the other person but other person has now climbed to dia :(

honestly I was hard stuck gold for like 2 episodes and I was blaming my teammates which made me really toxic to them for no reason, but once I accepted them as my teammates and started to hype them up, be nice to them, and just not blame them, I was able to rank up to diamond in one act, and now I'm immo 2 so I think his problem might just be the fact that he doesn't trust his teammates

@@leejameson8419 it wasn't really one act that was an exaggeration maybe like 1.5 or 2 acts I hit d1 but the point is that I was able to rank up a lot easier once I stopped blaming them for everything and started accepting my mistakes so that I could work on them.
Best ways to get better are learning from mistakes, solo queing, and watching vod reviews. Guarenteed improvement right here.

What low elos dont understand is that, in high elo, you would expect that everyone would have great aim/mechanics, and that game sense is what separates each rank once u get past gold or plat. Basically the decision making right, what you should or shouldn't have done in particular situations. I think that people who are hardstuck below plat elo and complains about it are the ones who are "brainless aimers". They have decent enough mechanics to go against high ranks but they just haven't developed their game sense yet. Of course if you have mechanics like tenz I would believe u could easily get to diamond carrying, but u will probably slow down there.

good days and bad days, a bronze might be a god one day destroying golds and plat, but given enough games a gold or plat will always come on top, that is what the rank system is. even if you performed like a radiant in one of your games in your silver lobby you wont be promoted immediately, its about consistency that separate ranks in my opinion.

Ascendant is full of actual new players. Horrific gamesense is incredibly common there, levels of cluelessness are unmatched. Whether it's an immortal or diamond lobby, ascendants are performing by far the worst 90% of the time.

Personally I think insane aimers can carry themselves all the way to ascendant but you for sure need decent game sense to climb out and hit immortal/radiant. I saw too many times this gold player was caught out in the open with util and or just straight up lost in the sauce. With a different mindset I think this player can easily get to the higher ranks.

Im mediocre at everything and still ascendant. I think people just skip out on important skills and thats what keeps them low elo. Things like taking responsibility for losses, deaths etc. Analyzing failures, improving aim, improving movement, using comms, playing enough games, practicing in deathmatch, fulfilling your agents role in the team, being a leader in-game. Just being consistent with these will make you climb. I do all of them poorly but well enough and consistently that I climbed over time.

i’m usually not one to say “i deserve ___ as a rank”… but i only play unrated.. i should play more comp. i get asked my rank and when i say G3 people say “no way” or “how”.. because i did placements with the boys. i have multiple top 0.1% rankings on aim labs, and my tracker stats (MarkuzJr#TTV) say i’m in the top 2-10% for multiple things. i think i need to work on better teamwork. even tho i’m the one always on the mic, making space, getting onto site, as my teammates die and use no util, besides that i have the aim needed, i have good gamesense, i just don’t have teammates 🙃

In my opinion as a Immortal Skye main, his aim is fine, I’ve seen worse aim in Immortal lobbies, his usage of utility and flash control definitely needs work. Not fully sure if he’s a Skye main since he seems hesitant on when to peak after flashing and he did flash into walls a few times, I would say he could probably do fine in Plat 2-3, maybe work on until more.

I would say high gold, his decision-making lacks a lot for a plat player. He's constantly playing bad angles and getting caught up in the worst positions. I'm an immortal Astra main so I'm usually aware of where I am on the map
9:19 I think instead of concussing the jett and killing the dog, he pings the jett to tell the team he is there and then go further into backsite to look for more info. Reason for not concussing is the team is too far to trade off of the concuss and yes, it slows the jett and it doesn’t let her escape as easily but they still have their dash so they can just dash out as we can see

I'm bronze player and watching him in ascendant lobby reminds me when I play with my gold friends. I always try to not get into stupid situations but I somehow end up there anyway. When I'm calm, I never expose myself to different angles and I guess this guy too (unless I'm actually gold and not bronze). But when the havoc begins, you just lose yourself and even though you know you shouldn't peek, run into open areas, you still do this or just do nothing and die with all your abilities up.

One of the most common mistakes in gold elo is that players are not playing off of their utility. They randomly spam everything and not move a single inch after using it.
if ur doing decent against 1 set of ascendants it doesnt qualify u to be that rank automatically since u already know their playstyle, this is exactly why ranked is the way it is, having to get many points to rank up and many matches, u get a wide variety of playstyles and opportunities to show how u adapt

His gameplay and game sense is pretty much on par with silver / gold / low plat players. His aim is not bad but it seems like he doesnt know what to do when hes being pushed or pushing into site. He might be decent in his elo but no way he climbs out of at least plat 2 by himself if anything. He just needs more experience and its a good thing he has ascendent friends to play with that helps him with that.
He just need to play Solo more. When you play with friends, you can trust them. When you play Solo, you just have to have faith in your teammates.
IMO, i think he’s placed decent in gold the fact that he mains initiator but dies immediately or not using the utilities properly like flashing for your team or properly checking corners and all of that. His aim is pretty decent but he should really check his own gameplay where he lacks and can improve its not just telling you should be placed here and there and not admitting your own mistakes, he also lacks fundamentals like checking corner, cancelling utils and holding angles overall he’s a good player
I played on an ascendant account for a couple games, I’m gold 1 on main account and gold 3 on alt account but peaked plat 1, now, the games i played, the results were 11-13 and 13-6, in the game I lost I played well 27/16/6 with an average damage of 258. The second match I was 14/9/4, so not as good but still deserving of a higher rank than my main account gives me. Sometimes I think the rank system is ignorant because I can’t leave g1 for the life of me, make an alt account that gets silver 2 and rank it up all the way to plat in an act yet my main is so stubborn and my rank won’t change. Then comes the opportunity to play a couple on ascendant - d3 lobbies and I do well both games, my teammates were none the wiser I wasn’t meant to be there
Gameplay-wise, their only issue is not wanting to take space into sites. They're too obsessed with winning the aim duels rather than sending util in and just sprinting it, which is much more difficult for enemies to react to. Once they learn how to run in, they can easily be Diamond.
I started playing Valorant 2 months ago, I am one win away from plat3 or so, tomorrow I plan on hitting Diamond 1 atleast.
His aim, controls are high tier, better than me atleast. I am used to play competitive games, but as I am an older dude and never will get the mechanical skills and aim as good as many people, I focus on trying to outsmart and predict enemies next move, and play more unpredictable aswell.
And when I pick agents like Skye, - I do not play the initiator role as expected, I more like see a selfsufficient agent.
As an Attacker I usually play a lurker role, being able to scan for info with the utilities or put pressure on the other site of what my team is going. If the team decides to rotate I will hold their rotation path clear.
As deffender I would play a little more unpredictable than he did,.
As I analysed my own gameplay a little I noticed some of my old times friend who are stuck in Diamonds rank, (that I do not play with/or as I watched their streaming), the highest oddity is that they rush a lot of things, comparing my own games with same score kinda, my games are allways a few minutes longer.
There is a whole video of me on my channel, me as a Silver 2, just raw footage if interrested., the only things I have improved since then is my communications, callouts and some mechanical skills. (That comes naturally). Hope eggwick will notice.

I have been hardstuck silver 1 - 2 for 7 acts now. Most of my friends are plat/high gold and I stack with them often. I tend to do well in these games. Usually I end up popping off. But not because of my aim. (it does help a bit tho) Its because my team is far more coordinated then a regular silver ranked lobby, so we can set up scenarios where our team is favoured and we can get the kills. Based of my experience queuing in lobbies that are all much higher ranks than me, I think I can say that there are a decent number of players stuck in low elo that deserve higher ranks, but simply cannot rank up because low elo lobbies have absolutely zero coordination. When put in a stack they perform well, when on their own they start botfragging in ranked again.
I went from Gold 3 to Ascendant 1 over the span of a week since the new act. I can confirm Iron 1 is where I should really be.

To add on to the best role to climb, its probably Sentinel.
Why u may ask?
First of all u can control multiple spots of the map (cypher cam, kj turret/bot, chamber trap, sage wall to block enemies of). That way u reduce the jobs of ur teammates and urself to always be aware of any angle.
The second benefit is that u can and are allowed to lurk, playing on ur own can create space and is not as stressful as a duelist, initiator or smoker, because u can focus ok urself and if ur lurk is good you can communicate to ur team that u cleared b site for example and u can rotate free or u get a great pinch from behind, which can win a lot of rounds.
And u can play passively of ur utility or teammates (besides chamber on defense, then u should take first duels in off angles and use ur tp to get out), which means ur don’t rely on ur skye flashing or ur jett entering site or ur brim smoking etc..
This independent playstyle only requires gamesense, if u got enough of that u will know when to lurk, when to go with the team etc. and then the Sentinel role will gift u wins in any elo.

If you play with your ascendant friend(s). It depends how many ascendants are in the lobby with you. If there is only 1 asc guy and rest of you are gold plat diamond. Then ofc the opposing team will be of the same caliber. So it doesnt generally mean that you can play in full fledged ascendant lobby.
I'm silver and I can tell you right away that one if his biggest problems is positioning. He gives up cover ans stands all the way in the open, and waits to die in the middle if the room.

Egg, I think theres a problem here. as you are mostly spectating xd's team, the enemy team could be watching the stream and tell even with delay, it can help other team a lot. I dont really know how you guys made deals or what, but in case you didnt realize, which you probably did

I think Valorant ranks really arent as good as some people say: I was hardstuck bronze - silver for 2 acts, but got promoted to diamond in one act after, because I had luck with good mates and now I am playing the same as someone in silver and stay in diamond/plat .

Totally agree with low elos not being very patient. My teammates die so early in the game because they play so aggressively without having to. Especially when we've already planted and they go out to find the enemies only to die. Could've won the game if they waited

In all of these games the player in question’s team mostly carries them distorting the actual results. What you really need to do is find 5 players who think they should be X rank and have them all play against a team of that rank

The thing in low elo is that people always want only duelists to enter, like yea duelists should enter but they got it wrong i think
lets say im reyna, the right thing is i flash we all go in or i go in and kill the one holding the entry to site, but then the team should follow me, but no in low elo they thing that i should go in empty site get everyone and then they should enter, which then makes it always easier to be in defender side, because when ur defender in low elo lets say 3 holding site, the low elo attackers never enter together so its always 3v1, after a few secs another 3v1, and also the attackers in low elo entry site so slow that lets say they go B, the ones holding A get to come to B before they are in site, which makes it harder to entry when neccessary due to time.
He is like your average egirl, plays good enough to get diamond, but it's always expecting for someone to carry him instead of improving his own mistakes.

He was doing quite good in terms of ascendant lobby, if you ask me. Take into consideration, he was nervous, as he stated himself, which most likely tripped off his both aim/game sense altogether. But yeah, I agree that having supportive teammates, regardless of the outcome up till end, win-lose, it's game - no need to rile up if someone did worse/better than you.
I personally hate some people in EU servers where people die first > spectate you clutch round and starts being toxic when you don't win. Safe to say if you put someone like Yay or TenZ in a gold/plat lobby, they can play without a crosshair and 2x their sens and still carry games. If there's a will, there's a way. If your reason is "my teammates are bad", you deserve to be in that rank.
Dude belongs in Gold. Above Diamond elo people just run and one tap or pre fire angles. If they hold an angle they will get one kill at least.
My first fps was cs 1.6 and I played it however lol, could only play with bots, then I got a bit into csgo and was a dum-dum because I thought pros played on 20k dpi since they bought mouse that has the feature and they would at least use 1 sensi right? So I tried to equalize by using my 1k dpi mouse and turning the sensi to 20. Valorant is the first game where I learned what edpi, peeking, utility usage etc. Is supposed to be lol, now I have play 1k dpi 0.38 much better than before
"That won't show up on the score board" - That is exactly why I hate people who think/say assists don't matter. Yes. In-fact - they do. That's exactly why there is a column for them. Kill hunting when you should be playing the objective with your team and/or top fragging and taking super unnecessary risks that cause your team to the lose the round don't show up on the stat-board and are just as bad, if not worse, then bottom fragging and contributing by using utility, setting up kills/trades/plays and providing information. I'll take a team player that utilizes his kit to the benefit of the team over a kill-hungry 'freelancer' any day of the week.
The fact that his team is hyping him up shows a clear difference between elo's too. Low elo's will flame their ass off at the first sign of a mixup; high level elo's encourage their teammates most of the time and push them to play better or find avenues to help.
