Gymnastics champion Kurt Thomas portrays Jonathan Cabot, and American who travels to remote Parmistan to take part in a deadly competition that hasn't been won by an outside in 900 years. Robert Clouse (Enter the Dragon) directs, combining martial arts with Thomas' athletic talents, including a sequence where the gymnast uses a pommel-horse routine to pummel a berserk horde. Does Cabot escape the perils of The Game? Find out in the escapist adventure that's "Gymkata".
MPAA Rated R for non-stop strong martial arts violence, bloody images, and brief nudity.

I loved this movie but I haven't seen it in years and it's definitely one that's on my wishlist. 80's movies are the best! Cheesy horror or cheesy karate it doesn't matter. The greatest decade!

R.I.P Kurt. This awesome movie was a staple in my middle school days. My Dad took me to see this opening weekend. I almost bought a GYMKATA shirt from TeePublic 6 months ago but chickened out. Maybe I'll bow up and commit after seeing this trailer.
