hello hello hello! I had a bit of an epiphany the other day and wanted to chat about it. If you enjoyed this type of video/topic, let me know by clicking the thumbs up! Makes my day :) Have the best week everyone x
UR so lucky to realize this at a young age, It took me till the kids were grown, they had kids, I retired and finally I can let it go- and cry at a advert, at a telly show, especially a movie. YT has and you have allowed me to have "a second coming out" I am living vicariously through you all- thanks for being real.
my favorite thing about myself is that I am extremely emotional, but I rarely care what people say or think about me. good things yeah sure they lift me up and make me feel good about myself. bad things though.... I completely ignore, or I try and find a good side to it. I love myself, sure I'm awkward, and like to be on my phone or computer, or reading, or drawing, or literally anything you could geek over and people make fun of me. BUT I DON'T CARREEEE!!! 😊😊 and that's what I love about myself. I am perfect the way I am, and part of that is because of you Connor, so uh thanks ❤♥❤
+realitycheckings and a paper boy is someone who confines themselves to a conventional standard and someone who suppresses their desires. paper towns reference anybody? no? okay... -crawls back to a corner-
I don't know if Connor reads the comments or if he does he will probably never get to this one but something I love about you is that you love being your self and don't care about what other people say and you Shen really helped me through some tough times....❤️
Fucking gender roles. I want to have a fucking facial expression at the least, I can't do anything and not experience SOME KIND of emotion, but for some fucking reason I'm not allowed. I hate people. 😒
My favorite thing about myself is that despite my mental instability, I will ALWAYS be there for my friends and they always come first because I never want them to feel the way I feel.
Connor , you know what? You are my best therapist. Your words and your videos they help me in the days of daily problems . I used to think that if you cry , I'm weak, I'm nothing. I didn't like to reveal their emotions. I didn't want people to see my tears . One day something snapped in me and I drew up the courage and began to cry at my friend. And then he told me exactly the same thing as you : don't be afraid to reveal their emotions. When the cry on , I felt lighter. Since that day, I never again keep their emotions in themselves. Because such situations are sometimes in life when you just show your emotions cleanse the body and mind :) Thank you very much Connor : *
Honestly, having people like you around make me believe in humanity again. You are such a wonderful person Connor, you're inspiring, caring, and honestly I love you so much and you always make me happy when I watch your videos. So thank you. And Id say the one thing I love about myself, is although it can be problematic at times, I'm very very loyal to my friends.
I agree. If even a badass like Joe Rogan is unafraid to admit that he cries, there is no reason that other men should be afraid to show emotion. If someone's masculinity can be washed away by a few tears, HE SUFFERS FROM A WEAK MASCULINITY. Also, emotional suppression is unhealthy for men, both emotionally and physically. We have known this for many years. So those who compel men to suppress their emotions are killing men. But more seriously, in the Bible, we read that many men have cried, grieved, or mourned. Even Jesus Christ wept. Therefore, if God's only begotten Son cried, then there is no reason that any other man should feel that crying, showing emotion, or being vulnerable, is weak or unmanly. Anyone who says "Grown men and big boys don't cry", obviously doesn't read the Bible, doesn't listen to country music, has never experienced extreme joy, and has never experienced heartbreak or sorrow. I agree with you. Men who don't cry are complete humans. Also, you should check out the song "Cry, Baby, Cry" by the Angels, you will like it. I wish that there were more women like you. God bless you always.
Connor I follow you since 2013 and your videos have changed so much. Now you are so freaking creative and you are showing us your most personal part, like your thoughts, and some short interesting personal stories and I really like this new ConnorFranta!
I don't think Connor will ever read this but it applies to everyone else as well. A quote from legendary Coach Jim Valvano in a speech months before he died of cancer. The full speech can be found on youtube, but here is the quote: "If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special." Jim Valvano. Great advice for all of us to live by
My favorite thing about myself is that I am able to feel other peoples emotions and understand them very well. This often makes me very sad but it is a good thing and it makes me a better person. It makes me me.
I love how I can get happy so easily. Like if I embarrass myself or do something and for some reason get angry two seconds later I will find something to be happy about. I love that.
Connor, you are a trip. Your message is so simple, so humorous, and so sincere. For such a young man, you really do demonstrate a high degree of self-actualization. Just like you, I mostly cry when I am happy.
I've survived myself. And all the hurtful things I've done and said to myself. I worked through them and I'm a survivor. That is my favorite thing about myself.
Hi, my name is Julia. And I have special needs. I've always felt as if everyone had their eyes were on me, most of the time I was right. Adults don't even teach their kids that there are people in wheelchairs, or people that walk differently, or talk differently, they don't even think about it. I understand if it is a kid that's like three or four, but if your an adult and you are staring at me you hurt me. You made me remember that I'm different. So thankyou for that. So basically what I have is called Escobar Syndrome, it is how I was born. I have bent arms, legs, spine, wrists, fingers, toes, etc. Anyways I'm different. But as I get older I realize that I love how I am! I even have a superpower! It's called kindness. I am extremely kind to everyone because I love to see them smile, so does Charlie! (my service dog) So to answer your question, my favorite thing about me is that I can make people smile. And I hope that I inspire some of you guys. Or maybe I made you smile! I hope so😊
+Julia Wallace (Juleshasawolf gaming) you r an nspiring person..continue to b you and I think u will touch the hearts of many people..thinks for sharing ur story
With a smile like yours I'd love to see your happy tears :). I tend to cry in private. I have days where I just watch sad movies or listen to sad music because crying is like an emotion dump :). My favourite thing about myself is my compassion.
This video makes me want to cry. I can't believe that you even have to make a video encountering this subject, Connor, but thank goodness you did, because it needs to be screamed from the rooftops as loud as it can be. I love you ever so much, and it grows every day because of videos like this. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thankyou
my favourite thing about myself is that even is someone is the nastiest person to me, I will still 100% be there for them if they're upset or want a hug. i don't treat people differently because of society's idea of "popularity". if no one likes that person because they're "uncool" or "nerdy" I'll still love them as much as the "popular people". we are all equal as people and all deserve to be treated the exact same way.
My favorite thing about myself is who I am. I am very proud of who I am, what I love, who I love, and all of my "flaws." I may be scared to show them but I still love who I am and no one will ever change that.
That's a really hard question... What is my favorite thing about myself? Do I even have a favorite thing? I mean, I guess I just really like how my brain functions. As in, I like how it basically runs Non-Stop processing at least five things at once. I like that it can easily multitask, that it never shuts up or runs out of ideas. I like how it can keep me going even if I'm running on empty. It's weird, I know, but I just love how I'm always moving because of it. I love that I can flow from one conversation to another with ease, jump from one topic to the next without thinking about it. I like that it can automatically connect things in ways most people wouldn't get. I know a lot of people can't always follow me, heck they'd probably get lost in my chaos brain, and I know that no one else thinks quite like me, but that's okay.
this is so important! I'm glad that my generation has people like you on the internet to look up to. Slowly we might be able to break free of the gender roles our society has made
the thing I love about myself is that I see things differently than others. I can manage to see the beauty in everything I see. Sometimes I can get really sad because my friends don't want to look further than they see. I hate this. Almost all the time I feel misunderstood and need someone who thinks like me, so I can share my thoughts with them and not get laughed at. But on the other hand, this gives me proof that I'm unique and if I'll find someone like me, I'll know he or she has felt this way too and have a beautiful way of seeing things and thinking.
I COMPLETELY know what you're taking about. I always feel misunderstood by my parent, friends, siblings, family, and I feel bad about my self sometimes. Although I know that I can still think of good things. I feel may different, but I'm proud of it.
my favorite thing about myself is that I'm never afraid to be myself and I'm never afraid to wear what I want or to speak my mind when it comes to standing up for people :)
ikr that's the exact truth. real men aren't afraid to show their emotions, and we're lucky enough that Connor is brave enough to say that he cries. Now if you ask me, I personally think that Connor is 100%, no doubt, a real man. ❤
I like that I smile a lot! This school year my goal was to be HAPPY and Ive accomplished that somehow I manage to always put a smile on my face no matter the situation. At 1st people started noticing and told me "you smile a lot" "you laugh a lot" "why or how are you always so happy" I looked at that as a negative thing because I felt it bothered others but im HAPPY its a good thing and I accepted it and say thanks when people point it out. I met this girl at a trip last week and she told me "Ive noticed you are always smiling" usually when they tell me that I try and stop smiling bc I feel idk how to explain it but not a great feeling but right after she said " Its a very good thing tho!!! " idk but that has stuck in my head and makes me smile some of my friends tell me that my smile is so contagious and I LOVE IT!!!!😁
Connor i freaking love your mindset..I love all of your videos where you just sit and talk about whats on your mind. I say it so much and imma say it again YOU INSPIRE MEEEEE
+Super RandomReese He is not real man, because he always keeps face completely without stubble. Stubble is important part of male's look. Tanner Patrick is real man.
I enjoy crying too, because it lets me just get all my emotions out, but I hate crying around others, when I watch movies or whatever, because I hate when people try to tell me it's not real and that I shouldn't be crying over it, because I should and I will cry. Also I get really inspired when I'm sad, which I love.
My favorite thing about myself is probably my voice... I like that about me. I also like that I've been through a lot of crap emotionally but I still manage to pull myself together when I need to. Thank you for making me think positively about my self. I needed that.
My brother is the sportiest and manliest person ever... but in the house he is so heart warming and loves to hug me and watch movies with me and i've seen him cry alot of times. I have noticed recently that he hides that part of him when we're in public, and i HATE IT. I hope he understands one day that it is okay to be both things at the same time and that he learns to accept himself. love you Connor.
also, my favorite thing about myself (not physically) is that I tend to like things because I like them and nothing else. I used to try to hide things I like (music, hobbies, etc.) because I thought people would judge me, or say I like things when in reality I didn't. The day I accepted myself I started to make new, better friends and enjoy myself more. Also, I believe i'm a good friend. I don't really have that many friends offline because i'm homeschooled, but since I moved out of my country I stopped being the popular girl and start noticing how my old friends really felt about me. Even though I was hurt in the process, I believe I am now a better, more considerate friend than before.
Omg I realized that I can't find that one thing about me that I love the most. I just love myself. I love everything in myself, all my flaws and good things. Hope it doesn't sound egotistical or bitchy C:
Never apologise for loving yourself!I admire those who show how much they love themselves unless of course the act all snob and stuff, which you don't obviously and I appreciate that. anyway, I admire you for loving yourself, I actually can't find a single thing I love about me:(
Good thoughts Connor. My brother is the same way and I've always loved that part of him, too. He's really emotionally intelligent and that's fantastic. For me, my favorite thing about myself is my tendency to see others complexly. I may get easily annoyed initially by some of the things people do, but almost immediately after that do I think about what might be going on in their lives that I know nothing about that could cause that behavior. Whether it be low self-esteem, family stress, school stress, fear, etc., I think about those things and then a good chunk of the aggravation goes away. I may still not appreciate their behavior toward me or others, but I don't really wish them ill, and in the end it could also be my own perspective that needs adjusting. You have to question, "Why am I getting so affected by this? Am I being oversensitive? etc.," Does that makes sense?
I cry a lot too. I mean ALOT.y sibling always make fun of me about it😳, but honestly you inspire me a lot. And watching this shows me that I shouldn't care what people say. This is a cruel world that I'll probably never understand. But anyways I love you Connor and thank you for everything you've done for us💕
connor franta is the type of person that makes you want to pet cats and eat your vegetables and take long walks and help strangers and take aesthetic pictures and do your homework and meet new people and listen to new music and make the world a better place
We all are told to "be strong". But what's really strong is crying your heart out and slowly getting back up to keep fighting...I cry a lot and I'm f**king proud of that...😊😊😊
I honestly feel so honored to live in this era when mindsets are finally changing. and thanks Connor for showing the world who you are. for being honest and showing us your true self. cause, idk if you realise, but you affect people a lot. you affect me. you´re like the purest soul I´ve ever seen and you inspire me (and a lot of other people too) to be honest with the world and most importantly, to be honest with ourselves. to accept ourselves, to accept others and to live a healthy happy life. I appreciate your work so much so I just wanted to let you know- I´m glad I know you and I´m thankful you helped me to get to know myself. thank you for that. thank you for being you...
Nobody should be afraid to cry. Cry if you're happy, cry if you're sad, cry if you want to cry. Showing emotions mean you're human.

the thing I love about myself is that I see things differently than others.
Connor is so tumblr and I love it❤️

this really helped thank you connor.
my favorite thing about myself is that I'm never afraid to be myself and I'm never afraid to wear what I want or to speak my mind when it comes to standing up for people :)
That whole "real men don't cry" thing is crap. I say real men aren't afraid to show their emotions.
ikr that's the exact truth. real men aren't afraid to show their emotions, and we're lucky enough that Connor is brave enough to say that he cries. Now if you ask me, I personally think that Connor is 100%, no doubt, a real man. ❤
+Carlisa Sobolesky PREACH
im not afraid 😊

I've earned the rep of being the "tough girl" , so all the crying goes down in my room

Don't cry, craft.
@ me
I like that I smile a lot!

I needed that.
you are so inspirational and send the best messages ilysm
I'm going to quote you in my school newspaper editorial concerning masculinity:) thanks so much, great video.
That sweater looks so good on him damn! *o*
ikr!!
+TheLifeOfDiogo i know!!
Never apologise for loving yourself!I admire those who show how much they love themselves unless of course the act all snob and stuff, which you don't obviously and I appreciate that. anyway, I admire you for loving yourself, I actually can't find a single thing I love about me:(
+okumuraphan u have good spelling
No that s awesome! Everybody should love every part of themselves like you do

I literally love this boy!
My favorite thing about myself is how vulnerable i let myself be because i get to learn and experience so many different things
Am I being oversensitive? etc.," Does that makes sense?
trying to do that too, I love what you said :)
Thank you so much JoyceMaryLy! We just have to keep trying : )

"I am a person. I am trying to be myself. And if society tells me different.... Cool. Like, cool. Go society!"
