    ‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣ THIS EPISODE ‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣
We have gotten up early for sunrise before (especially during the summer in Maine, but heading up to the top of the pass for sunrise in Rocky Mountain National Park took the cake (or the donut!) for the earliest sunrise so far. Our alarm went off at 3:45am!
As early as it was, watching the sun rise over the mountain peaks at the top of the pass was so worth it! There were massive herds of elk and lots of deer at the top before the sun came up. We were very thankful for hot chocolate and coffee as it was a chilly one!
On our way down, we found lots of cars pulled over and photographers shooting into the woods. There were 2 huge bull moose grazing, and we got to capture the biggest one as he headed off into the forest. As we left, we spoke with a local photographer who shared that the bigger moose is named Captain Hook, that he is the biggest bull in the whole park and that it is very rare to see him out! It totally made our day!
Before heading back to Moraine Campground, we stopped at the Alluvial Falls Trail to climb the rocks and see some waterfalls up close and personal!
This was such a hard park to leave! Our 2 days in Rocky Mountain National Park turned into 6 and included one of the most beautiful sites we have ever stayed it! We headed off toward Medicine Bow in Wyoming and stopped to stock up and get some laundry done!
How do you deal with laundry on the road? We could rig up our RV for a washer/dryer combo, but since we aren’t in full hookup parks very often, it wouldn’t be worth the weight, the space and the time it would take to get through laundry for 4 people.
Laundromats are so convenient and quick. We usually find a town that we are driving through with a laundromat that has good reviews on Google and a big parking lot near by, so we can park and get stuff done in the RV while we are waiting for laundry. Jess can have all of our laundry done in about an hour and 30 mintues. This is definitely something to think about as you plan to purchase a rig or hit the road.
Corey took care of some things he needed for the truck, and we restocked food and necessities at Walmart as we headed for more boondocking at a campground at over 10,000ft of elevation!
Stay tuned for the next episode as we stay in a campground that is only open for 6 weeks out of the year! Be sure to like and subscribe and click on the bell icon for notifications when we release new videos!

I used to get an ornament to hang on our tree when I visited a new place. It is a great memory every year talking about our adventures. Now we are usually camping during that time so we don’t always put a tree up at home. Now, sometimes I buy a shirt, or a sticker to place on my cups…it all depends.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I love how you roll! It reminds me of us with your Reflection. I can see myself through your eyes. So many sites get bigger and bigger with three axle, 8 ton rv monsters until there is no commonality. Your admission of rv newbie at the end had me smiling, "Hi, my name is Corey and I make rv mistakes" like a meeting. Stay strong, it is better outside!

You guy’s surprised me with this episode. I was born and raised in Loveland Colorado. The canyon you drive down HWY 34 is called the “Narrows”. It was raised 25’ above the Big Thompson River due to the 1976 Flood. 50’ wall of water came down the canyon as you pointed out the tall narrow roads, which guided the water down. Many hundred(s) of people died.
Seeing you drive up Taft up to Laramie was awesome.
    Thanks!

We generally don't buy clothes at the parks we go to, but always get a fridge magnet. Small, cheap, everywhere sells them, and then it sits on our fridge reminding us of adventures!

So having been in the military I used to buy tshirt for myself every place I was.. now they are all about to be made into blankets for my kids. Now I buy a coffee mug everywhere.. but as I'm about to start ft rv'ing... I can't do that.. so I think I'm gonna collect dirt/sand.. then at the end of each venture put it all in bottles with cute labeling

We know a lot of people who buy coffee mugs now instead of shirts! Love that you are making a blanket of you old shirts for your kids. That's awesome! Make sure they are little bottles! Have you ever seen Lucile Ball's Long, Long Trailer movie? They travel in an RV across the country and she collects boulders as souvenirs! It is hysterical! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment tonight!

I collect Christmas ornaments for two main reasons. 1. They are small and lightweight. 2. Since you don't see them every day they are fresh and new every time you bring them out to decorate. If something is around all the time you stop seeing it. Even though I don't decorate a lot when I'm full-time or long time eventually I go back to a sticks and bricks for a while and I appreciate my treasures and their memories. I'm counting down to my next full-time adventure now.

That Bull moose is definitely the biggest in all that I have seen. One thing about bull moose is they are very territorial, years ago I was charged by a big bull while riding my motorcycle. If you come up to one a road in your vehicle do not think you can just honk the horn to make him move. There is a good chance if you do they may charge your vehicle and do major damage. Great video and thanks for letting us see Rockie Mt. Nat. Park through your eyes....

OK, y'all convinced us to go see Rocky Mountain National Park! We always try to get something to remember the Parks/Monuments we've been to. Usually, it's a Benchmark Magnet. I use these at work on my magnetic white board or on my magnetic walls (yes, that's a thing) or on the refrigerator. Dottie finds book marks for herself and a couple of her friends and I get a coffee mug. I bought a t-shirt in Death Valley National Park (haven't worn it yet) and one at North Rim of the Grand Canyon that has a geology theme (fitting, since I'm a Geologist). The best National Park t-shirt that I have ever seen was at Death Valley 20 years ago. It was a Death Valley 120° Club shirt that featured two skeletons wearing Panama Hats sitting in Chase Loungers sipping iced tea. There was a vulture sitting in a dead tree behind them giving them the evil eye while the sun beat down on them. One skeleton was wiping his brow while the other skeleton quipped "Yeah, but it's a dry heat." I went back to get one and they were sold out! 😭
It would have been great to wear to Company HQ in Wisconsin.
    Safe travels, y'all!

We did the Alluvial fan in May after a massive snow storm. It was good to see it not covered in snow! The canyon road is built up cuz it was taken out 2x in my life by a historic flood so they finally built it up. Some of the cute cabins in the canyon washed away in the flood.
Next time stop at the dam store at the base of the canyon it’s kinda fun to climb the tower. You look over Sylvan Dale Ranch. I’ve Never seen bear in RMNP or Estes but I have seen them on the cliffs on 34, on Horsetooth and in town in Loveland 😂. If you ever come back to Loveland my Favorite Mexican restaurant ever is in the same parking lot as the laundry mat/king soopers. Interesting fact, the build up part of Hwy 34 through the narrows of the canyon, was done after the last big flood in the Thompson. I'd like to give you the exact amount of time it took to complete, but I can tell you, you had to have a special pass showing your residence, to get through and there was days, you had to go around, using the hwy up from Lyons to Estes.

Cory, I'm very impressed with your assertiveness to find or create photo ops (and Video) no matter what the hour. Great videography, great shots. I loved the slow-mo moose shot, awesome. As for T-shirts, yes I buy one at most NPs we visit so I am reminded of our adventures there when I wear it. Some NP T-shirts are too expensive ($35-$40), like Mt Rainer, and the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. So I buy one on Amazon for $~20, where I have a huge choice. It's worth the money for the NP memory jog, after we get home. The Walmart Parking Lot song was great! Too funny.

Beautiful sunrise and great shot of the moose! I sometimes will buy a shirt but it's not something I do at all national parks. I agree with you about using a laundramat. It so much quicker. I love your videos and your family. 😊

I love watching your channel. Your family is so sweet. As far as purchasing a t-shirt in the places we stay, I want to collect one from each place we love and eventually make a t-shirt quilt for our bed with them! I’m looking forward to the day we can full time RV. Until then, I’ll continue to live vicariously and learn from you guys ❤️🏕

Love RMNP, both times we went was in the winter. All the lakes were froze and mountains covered in snow. Was amazing that time of year. Love how you capture the natural beauty of each place you go. Cant wait to see The next few videos of The Medicine Bow area as the Snowy Mountain Range has been my favorite place for a few years now. Camping at Brooklyn lake is amazing and i hope you get to hike to the top of Medicine Bow Peak. Keep up the awesome videos👍

As another mentioned, 34 is almost all new after the 2013 flood. The elevated parts are reconstructed to be much higher and in some places well away from the Big Thompson River. It was a pretty amazing construction project with a massive amount of rock moved. 36 from Lyons was reconstructed as well, and pretty much all roads along the drainages in Boulder and Larimer counties. This area has been hit by a lot with all the recent fires and the flood.
Glad you enjoyed ROMO so much. It's an amazing park. We were up on Trail Ridge yesterday in extreme wind conditions in front of the front that brought snows to the high country today.
Reminder to please not walk on the tundra, place tripods on the tundra, etc. It's an amazing and in some ways fragile ecosystem. From the park's website, here's why: "Repeated footsteps often destroy tundra plants, allowing exposed soil to blow away. Recovery may take hundreds of years, so please use designated trails when exploring this unique area."

We were wondering about laundry mat availability. Thanks for sharing how the parks and trails are for people with issues (we've got old wheels) you are good about telling us how easy or not the walk is and if it's a good park just from the car. Also wanted to compliment your video intro's they are interesting and exciting.

Hi, guys,That bull moose was amazing! Thanks for the epic views. Glad you loved my home state so much. It's sad you only saw a small fraction of the Colorado Rockies there are SO MANY MORE places to see besides Rocky mountain national park that are epic! Like the San bisco mountains in Southern Colorado down past Colorado springs up and outside of Rye,Co. just to mention one there's so many more. Next time you're in Co and headed out of Denver on i-70 a easy stop is Morrison really cool little mountain town that'll take you right into Red Rocks amphitheater.(btw this is a really cool place for sunrises. I have seen multiple ones there they never disappoint). Take ya a little hike too. I've seen concerts all over the U.S. It is still #1 for an outdoor rock concert. The sound will blow you away because the stage is down in bottom and totally surrounded by huge Red Rocks. You can check out an old U2 concert there on utube from back in the day when they had videos on mtv 🤣🤣 I've never been one for wearing t-shirts out and about. I do like to sleep in them sometimes. So as far as getting a t-shirt from places like Rocky mountain national Park. I started getting coffee cups from places.🤣 Thanks for taking us along on such a wonderful journey and you're awesome vlog as always! Safe and happy travels now ✌️🥰

Thanks for sharing that gorgeous sunrise at the mountain top! I know I'll never be up there to see one. Especially loved the video of the big bull moose! When I left Park City a couple years ago, I knew I would really miss the moose in my neighborhood and I do. I have a video of a bull nibbling the aspen twigs in the front yard. I just love them. They are so impressive, so weird and so cool all at the same time. Have fun at the ranch.

Me and the wife buy park magnets and decals. We buy the occasional shirt or hat sometimes. My daughter buys postcards that she stamps with the park passport stamp. I also have a park’s passport book that I get stamped.
As for the W/D, there was one already installed in our Momentum when we bought it. We use it when we’re at full hookups, but we have used laundromats when boon docking.

Interesting perspective you have on laundry. Before we sold our home (in NH) we had taken a 5 week road trip, and our worst memories about that trip was…laundry days!!! LOL
So, when we decided to go full time, onboard laundry was absolutely essential. Different strokes for different folks.
Also…do I buy a t-shirt? Well of course I do. Almost my entire t-shirt wardrobe is made up of souvenir shirts. I TRAVEL FULL TIME….!!! 😊

My parents bought two mugs from Yellowstone. I have inherited them, and they are a prized possession of mine. I have yet to see Yellowstone! I doubt I will buy a mug from there though. I tend to buy mugs from my journeys, but once I go full time, I don't think Mugs will work for that. Maybe some sweatshirts, but I don't know? I design and make my own clothes and will continue to do so on the road. If you buy stuff at every stop then where will you end up storing it. You will end up with a lot of souvenirs and nothing else.
Washer and Dryer and room for a drawing/drafting table and place to cut out fabric, sew, and paint is determining the size of my RV. First, laundromats get grumpy when you bring fresh tie-dye in to wash and set the dyes in their washers and dryers. I prefer to buy all natural fabrics in larger amounts undyed, then dye them myself to the colors I want each garment to be. As a solo female I need a long motorhome. Oh, the other reason I need a washer dryer in my RV... I will go buy more underwear and socks, pants, and tops to avoid a laundromat! It has been three months since I have been to a laundromat, and I have started to hand wash bath towels and underwear to not have to go to a laundromat. I am autistic so something are sensory issues for me. Laundromats to me seem dirty, the washers because other people use them are dirty. I have super sensitive skin and the soaps other people use I am allergic to often and they leave the residue, so I can end up with rashes from washing my clothes. So, if I don't have a W/D in my RV I might end up with a bunch of underwear and socks and t-shirts and pants with all the national parks on them, so I don't have to go to a laundromat!
