I used to be one of those Eddie-haters. But after Become the Hunter, I turned a full 180 on him. He’s one of the best in his field.
Even tho Phil did amazing at the memorial show, Eddie just fukin killed that song. He has his own style and everyone shouldn't be so divided.

I can't wait till they make a new album, hopefully Eddie will actually sound like Eddie again and not a Mitch shadow, he's twice the vocalist Mitch was in regards to power and vocal range.. But he's been put in as a more of a Mitch stand it instead of a new front man. They should have scrapped most of the songs Mitch wrote before he dude and maybe only include a few, Lyrically the last album had winey scene lyrics all over it. Look at what he was producing with all shall perish , that shit slays. Let him be a front man and use his own vocal style damn it.
the problem with your comment is "whiney lyrics" fuck it being scene but how is it whiney it has some actual emotion why does shit have to be scene and whiney if the lyrics show some sort of remorse or passion or sadness? what SWS talks about is scene what OM&M sings about is scene and whiney because it's a tad bit overdramatic and it kind of tries to appeal to people that are "alone" they feel a sense of worth through the lyrics because it.. "understands" them when a lyric that has a tendency to be projected as whiney by people but it's not directed towards people for understanding it's trying to make you think. people just assume they know what they're going through and like to act as if it's projected towards them. SS saved my life that's a bull shit claim it wasn't intended to you just decided it was talking to you. As for people that like Sleeping with Sirens that's intended to be soft hearted and "we know what you're going through" look up Make Them Suffer Old Souls or Neverbloom. You can't say they're scene and whiney because they talk about deep and poetic shit.
My point is without going into detail is they're not trying to identify with other people they're trying to tell their personal ideology and out look on a situation.
what would be stupid if everyone tried to be "brutal" and talk about fucking dead corpses and having a bloody slut orgy then where would the purpose in listening to it doesn't make you think really it's like not even trying to have some meaning to it... Music is art for the ears well some music.
