- Finally got a chance to play Satellite Interception 3 raid. Though, it was probably a bad idea to bring my newly purchased R-101 into it. Haha. Still, with 8 players, we were able to S rank it.
The R-101 is a fictional plane from Ace Combat 3 what was added to the game in update 8. One of its special weapons is the new LAAM - Long Range Air-to Air Missile, which is currently exclusive to this plane. Flying the plane also changes the HUD to resemble the one from AC3, too! - เกม

I'm so glad they offered the R-101 Neucom for sale. It's such fun to hear the old Electrosphere audio and see the old HUD.

This is such a clusterfuck of a mission but it is the most fun :)

As for the Dolphin...Eh, she's not exactly my type. I think I'll stick with my Super Tomcat and Super Hornet. That is, until I get my Black Widow II and Wyvern... Which I have yet to unlock! >.

This plane is a staple example of what will kile Ace Combat Infinity, nobody has the time or will spend the money for something so expensive.
Meant to say "kill" ACI. Which is a shame because it looks way nicer than the butt ugly Falken.

Awesome plane, I hope they lower the cost so any fan of ace combat can unlock it. People should write complaint e-mails about the cost of these planes.

Lol. The unit of speed is actually in thousands if feet per hour. So it's actually 9000x1000 ft/h. This is the same unit of speed used in Ace Combat 3.
Hud looks really cool I'll admit. How does it run so far Panda? Any comparison you can make for it's current level?
Having some difficulty adjusting to it. Going from a lv10 ATD to a lv1 R-101 is still night and day difference.
Damage should be around a lv3 750cst. Mobility is high level mid-tier.. reminds me of my F-18F. I really one to try out the LAAM, but the upgrade costs tho!

Keep in mind a well leveled typhoon is much better then a level 1 delphinus.
Especially with 6aams
Oh man I seriously need to buy a PS3 to get this game I can't believe they added the R-101 along with the HUD this is like the best thing ever. I hope they add the "XFA-36A GAME". Thanks for sharing these dude it means a lot since I still haven't got the chance to play it.
Question: But how does the R-101 perform as a fighter along with the rest of the aircraft?

The R-101 is insanely expensive at 4.6M credits to unlock, and it sits at the end of the tech tree. For comparison, the FALKEN is the same tier, but only costs 810k (which is still a lot).
The R-101 is among the planes with the highest overall stats because it sits at the end of the tech tree. However it can be beat by level 15 high-tier planes. But in terms of "actual" combat performance, I'll have to upgrade the plane to find out. Right now, my plane is level 1, and I'm stuck using the worst special weapon in the game.
Saber Plate Don't get a PS3 for this game. Waste of money. I did this for this game, and it infuriates me how painfully pay to win this game is. They suck you into it too, when they have their stupid fucking "tournaments" to get special aircraft like the beloved Razgriz F-14.
You don't win the tournaments by being better. You win by being a wallet warrior and dumping extra fuel into each mission to earn extra points. I learned this the hard way when I went from the top 1000 to the bottom 8000 overnight on the last day of a tournament. I could outfly anyone in my upgraded F-14, and yet I got swatted down by some fucking wallet warriors.
I ended up quitting.

Seriously though the game isn't big enough as a series to assemble such a 'crusade'. No one gives enough of a shit to begin with.
The best way to protest is just don't give them money for their game. Let their Infinity game be a financial failure like Horizon was, and they'll abandon bad practices.

Love my "R" craft. I still play my AC3 JP. Trying to legitimately obtain the X-49 Nightraven. So when does that go into ACI? It would truly get nerfed considering its LASER can cut through an entire man-made island fortress, the Megafloat...
You can only get it by copying the "deadcopy" save file to your PS1 memory card (somehow) which is on the AC3 soundtrack disk. In other words, _good freaking luck_.
I need one fighter. Mostly i have multirole. But 4milion for this plane? I dont know if its worth it + u need level 7 for it. How much does the level up costs for it?

Certain emblems change the colour of the smoke. In this case, the purple smoke is coming from the player using the Air Combat emblem.
I really the hud, but way too expensive for me.
I spread the wealth to a lot of planes so I don't get bored, though.

The speed is in feet per hour instead of knots. However, it'll still use km/h if you're using metric.

pandazooka Wouldn't you mean feet per second? A mile is 5280 feet, so if it was going 9000 feet per hour, it would go just less than 2 miles per hour which is waaaaay too slow than what your speed looks like.

Default plane speed is 215-216 kts, and it shows up as 1312 on the dolphin's HUD.
Doesn't the Delphinus have a special weapon?
***** It has 3 special weapons like all the other planes in the game. The HUD doesn't show both weapons at the same time, but you can see me switch between MSL and HCAA.

It's not bad at the start, and you know not to open too many items for research. But you'll pretty much have to stick to one end-game plane throughout your time as a free player. Just can't make enough money to level up too many things.

Very true, most of the good aircraft i have comes from special events, like the F-15C/PX/ or the A-10A/GR/, and given this i didn't found the neccesity to research a good aircraft wich allows me to make an 'optimal' path on the aircraft tree, and since then im not that far to unlock the F-22A or the R-101!.

i have that plane and the CFA 44 SL both retardedly expensive and CFA 44 useless even at high levels like 10 so sad because they look cool i have CFA level 4 , 5 price 9 mill 843 credits hell no, and r101 newcome even if it had 6AAM and QAAM witch in my opinion are the best missiles for fighters steel not worth it unless u have stacks of Benjamin Franklin's laying around it would take u about 2 years or more of grinding not to mention the special level cap forms witch are another bottomless pit to get , u have to understand it is a business they will try to squeeze has much money has possible out of players, i would have gladly payed even 100 dollars for a game with this mechanics and a god story like the older ones, this game along with assault horizon r a joke, this game has good mechanics that is it, graphics are kinda lame specially the turbine exhaust fire how can it be worst than ace combat 0 witch is my favorite ps2 game for fuck sake not only that but is a pay to win and a rental completely dependent on firstly your internet connection, secondly player base witch basically means your are at the mercy of other people's mod, and thirdly profitable circumstances witch means if for any reason the company goes sideways you r left with an empty wallet and jack shit to show for it, my advice make at least 2 separate accounts. pick 3 aircraft one from each category and concentrate on them and grind because for every dollar u give them they will want 100 more and make increasingly outrageous bs moves, gone are the days of good video games now is just a dlc free 2 play bottomless pit cluster fuck
