    Looks the biz. A 2 by 1 wood batten fixed to the bottom of the curtain section will keep it down, and easy to roll up in the summer.

    Gday Ralfy, by shut you did a good job getting the tarp up there on ya own, what a mission that was, you really have more patience than me mate, I’ve got one of them diesel heaters in my workshop, the workshop is 7m x 6m with no insulation on the walls at all, I brought a 2m exhaust and poke that out under the door and it heats the place up quite good, mines the self contained unit which is the way to go in my opinion, burns cleans once it’s up and running and no smell in the shop, fuk me you did a good job getting that done ah, brilliant job, cheers

    • @RalfyCustoms
      @RalfyCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers Matty, yeah so 2 of the buggers would get things toasty, tbh it was you that 1st put me on to them mate 👍

    Well done Ralfy, your multiple descriptions of you tarp had me splitting my sides lol. You will need at least 2 of the Chinese heaters to do anything in that space. Just vent them out the wall mate, you only need a 1 inch hole for the exhaust, you need a drop on the exhaust to let condensate out. Cheers, Jon

    • @RalfyCustoms
      @RalfyCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol thanks Jon, unfortunately the only outside wall is the front of the shop, 40 foot or so from the grow room, err I mean work tent

    Lol , the aerials were in the roof cavity in the 70's to dodge the detector vans !!!

  • @firestorm755
    @firestorm755 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hiya Ralfy. Bloody hell mate you've done well putting that up on your own! Talking of tenting you might get condensation puddles on top of it. Warm air below and cold air above and all that. As long as you've air that can blow through above the tarp. It's making me laugh watching this. You've deffo got entertainment skills Ralfy!!

    Cheap Chinese Heater, Yep Deffo, Got one myself, Pipe the exhaust through an old Radiator to reclaim some waste Heat and out through to outside, Go for it Man, plenty of stuff on here regarding what to run it on. Cheers for a Good Channel man.

  • @hilltopmachineworks2131
    @hilltopmachineworks2131 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That should help keep some heat in your work space. Maybe fasten the bottom of the tarps to some wood beams? That would close the gap and keep the tarps from moving around on you. Plus no hole drilling into the floor.

    • @RalfyCustoms
      @RalfyCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Tom, I'm most likely going to make some metal weights to hold the tarp sides down

    Yes I'm watching, great how handy them G clamps are ❤️

  • @Steven-Sea_gull
    @Steven-Sea_gull ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You could use some big speaker magnets on the upright to keep the the tarp against the steel instead of cable ties . Use some flat bar or that reclaimed steel for weights on the bottom of the tarp to keep it on the floor but still moveable when you need jobs in . What about your hot tent stove inside the work area instead of a Chinese heater 🤔

    Yeah, I'd get one of those knock-off Chinese diesel heaters so you can vent it properly. Those jet heaters are a PITA and tend to give me a headache from the fumes.

  • @jofknoll
    @jofknoll ปีที่แล้ว +1

    you asked about heaters you might want to watch a youtube channel Joshua De Lisle he has done some vids on a velvor diesel heater,he is running it on a few different fuels at the mo he also says the price form them on amazon has gone up a lot,

    Fuck me fella that's not a very healthy work out lol .. bet the worse bit is that sticky shit that you get with new plastic tarps .. I'm sure that's gonna be a rather quick warm up in the area compared to standing in front of the Burner and freezing ya ass the moment you move away ..a very spartan framework but great idea on the catenary wiring to criss cross and support the tarp . The mudguard bracketry is getting there and I can't wait to see the cut version finished . Well done fella
