Ok we got mountains of negativity already so let's try to be a bit positive stuff. 1st it's nice the game have classes with more then just 5 moves alot of trying to make it only 5 like a moba or something. 2 it already seems better to ff14 pvp imo. 3.It's free to play so no 15 dollar sub fee for a game you been hating but still play for 6 years.

Love the game but my biggest gripe is the PvP, more so bg than arena…. For one remove the time on BG, second they have to have different bg for ranks or least have better matchmaking. There should be no reason to see the knight + rank tiers in matches with the first rank tier of ranks. Ie elite knight in bg with private, corporal, vanguards, Sargent or war mages. Its impossible to kill them especially if they are warriors, pallys, or barb fighters. Even if you band together to kill them.
pvp in this game is pretty bad. the biggest issue is only being able to pick 3 ults. this is a big problem since a lot of ults counter other ults and this creats RNG since you can't know what other people are picking. as far as bg themselves 2/3 maps are dogshit because of destructible objectives. the tower one is the worst, but this one with the cart is not much better.

I really loved Tarislands 1st beta, I was top 2 healer pushing world first with my guild, but then we saw acreenshots and heard conversations and trades happening.... the world first raid team lead by an unnamed content creator was paying other guilds and people to farm materials for him and, this parts alleged, had a staff member doing stuff behind the scenes. Ruined Mt game for me entirely.
Also, I'd give this game a huge 9/10, was truly an amazing experience besides all the stuff the company just let happen during the world first race. I'd say give it a try if you're debating it.
Tarisland PvP is the worst gargabe in a long time. Not only is there absolute zero balance in arena, with gigantic differences between classes in damage, especially burst and CC spam, it's also full of hacks with endless CC that doesn't even show debuff for example and it's not unlikely that some of the burst goes back on (easy to find) hacks, too. Without the publisher mass banning such people and fixing their ridiculous bad balance problems, not only arena will stay garbage but since this modues gives by far the most medals to upgrade the PvP rank, it also ruins all other PvP. Those PvP ranks are absolute nonsense on their own, a kick in the teeth for any newcomer and also for alts, because not only have you rank arena as high as possible, but every week you don't is something you can never retrieve at all. Those ranks not only give gigantic HP and attack boni in all PvP modi but arena (what the fuck? the main modus to get those does not even have anything to do with them), you can also upgrade PvP talents to gigantic power increases like not just 10% damage reduction when slowed/stunned but 20% or 30%, same for damage increase and other things, like length of CC and alike. So not only will the cheater and player of one shot bullshit combos get 50-100k HP bonus (that's a plus of 100-200%) and an easy 50+% bonus on their general attack strength, but this will be multiplied further by those upgrades, easily one shotting anything that is in the lower (and in case of the BS classes even middle) ranks. PvP only makes sense with balance. ONLY then. Everything else is at best pointless griefing only for people who DON'T want to PvP. Any real PvPler does NOT WANT to just smash their head on the keyboard to win. The stronger your class is, the more boring it is for people who seek a PvP challenge, because the less you have to do your own. With the broken classes, any bot can easily win. They do literally nothing but just spam their CC and one shot damage.
Game is actually not bad. If they had spent more time creating something not wow like it would have been great. The story line makes no sense and the voice acting on global sucks.... dont feel connected to the characters
