When I was in the Marine Corp (MAG 41, VMFA 112) I worked on the F/A-18 A, B, C, and D models. never got to play around with the super hornet. IMO its still the best airplane in the sky. air to air, air to ground, surveillance, day, and night there is not another plane like it! I miss them terribly!!
Another aircraft that I do not want to be on the wrong end of; that could be painful, or increase stock prices for Hanes, or both. At least nobody called to ask "How do we tow this?"" Or maybe that's the missed call. It can wait 'till morning.
When they park on a public ramp (looks like Love Field) all you have to do is ask, 9 times out of 10 they will say go for it...all of the top secret stuff is on the inside..lol If they had top secret weapons hanging from the hard points, then it would be in a hanger with guards standing duty and keeping everyone away! lol

Saw this same aircraft with one other “402” and “401” years ago in RI. Was another f18 with it, piloted by Mike “Danica” Dodenhoff?
Thanks for the close up shots - very well done.
this is a goldmine for model reference pictures... thanks for the upload!
Awesome! thanks for sharing.
Can someone tell me what is the 'gill opening' on the side of the intake within the danger jet intake warning at 2:13 ? Thanks!
I want one. Cool video. Thanks for sharing.
The first 30 seconds look to me like some kind of video game scene...:P
Vigilantes for life! I served when they had the F/A-18A. Beautiful aircraft!!
Ex VFA-192 GD's. Love this. E8 🙏💪
Ehmm, yes, this is a 'walkaround'.
But not the way I expected, with first-hand explanation.

Was there light on the rudder and wings?
One rule I have learned when working with the Hornet. *Never go under the tailhook.*
Wish you can get that close to an f22
Those are giant control surfaces!
I am about to build a model of the super hornet. Can I use Air Force Gray's to paint it with. Or are thier A Navy Color available to use ?
Is it done?
very cool. How the heck did you get permission to be that close to the aircraft?

Laurence Lance I work at Love and have an airport badge. It's not common practice to let people on the aoa unless they're badged
ErikJohnston I too love my SIDA BADGES.
So you did get permission? Or not?
@@flying_boomerang yes you fucking idiot
Good idea
