My husband’s favorite wig is Raquel Welch’s Upstage because I feel so good in it and it’s how I act more like my happy self in it. Love this video - and I’m loving wigs cut up at the back in particular they last longer - it is so hard when you fall in love with a wig and it gets worn and old - I like something that lasts a bit longer.

Thanks for talking about the many aspects of wig wearing. It is not just how it looks, it is how you feel in it, I got rid of one that looked great on me, but I was constantly fooling with it. And it needs to fit your personality. You look adorable in fluffy and crazy but that doesn't work on me. And how others react is a factor. After all, they really have to look at it more than we do, in the normal course of events. We are so lucky to be living in a time where we have a large selection of wigs to choose from. Even me whose choices are reduced by a smaller than average head. Thanks for giving us something to think about. I always enjoy your videos.

This is a new journey for me- I lost about 2/3 of my hair over a 3 week period after a very bad (and long) bout with Covid. I didn't even know that was possible! Hubby was initially supportive of me buying "a wig" (meaning one) until he saw the prices for the good ones. Right now I have one Paula Young wig that I've worn in public twice now, and I've gotten a lot of compliments from friends and strangers alike. I actually bought two wigs but am returning one; and have three more on the way. It's tricky finding wigs in my price range that look good and not fake, and honestly I have not had good customer service at any of the places I have tried in person or online.

I just returned my Twix. I've never returned before. I graduated in 1970. Had the curly perm, have naturally curly bio hair. My piece had curls in large spirals a little on the top and below was more kinky, smaller stuff. Right out of the box the ends were matted. I would never have worn it. It was a style I very much identified with. I'm glad you are enjoying yours.

Taz, you look lovely in every wig, but you really rock the mid-length and especially the asymmetrical short wigs. You know how to manipulate the hair around your face and they are stunning on you. You're so petite and tiny that I think the long wigs overpower your pretty face; that's just my opinion. However, when you use accessories with the long wigs and pull the fibers back from your face, with a little tendrils on the side they look stunning. But I think you really rock the shorter wigs that have the youthful styles and aren't too short but frame your face beautifully. You have a beautiful face structure and I think those asymmetrical sexy looking short wigs really bring your beautiful features out.

My husband tends to like longer styles but we do agree on mid-length pieces with a slight bend of waves. I love this so much. My husband was a little weird about it to start with but I got the first “I really like that one”. He really likes Gabor Trend Alert on me. My husband is like yours, “you always look beautiful” but I have longed for him to actual tell me what he likes just like with clothing.

My husband never really says anything about appearances. It does kind of put a damper on effort over time. I had a man flirt with me and I actually thanked him, saying I'd just been mom and wife so long that I appreciated him reminding me of also being more than just those roles. I was surprised to be so flattered. I think them not saying anything also can make us vulnerable to it if we hear nice words. I didn't proceed with anything but it did encourage me to start making an effort again--trying to find makeup that flatters, wearing earrings again, etc. Now I even have a planner started this year with a page-long habit tracker in it to try to get these changes to be routine. I'm mostly doing it for me because, well, unless I beg I still don't think I'll hear anything. It's ironic that my love language is words of affirmation and I married a literally silent man. He can speak but it would be a big day if he said more than 4-5 sentences a day. And he's satisfied being that way. Very noticeable now that we are retired.

Taz, you look beautiful in almost any wig you wear. Your beautiful blue eyes highlight your wigs; especially in the blond colors. You are also great at doing makeup; it really makes your eyes shine. If you go on any wig site, almost all the models have blue eyes. For some reason, blue eyed women look better in wigs. You are one of the best channels for showing wig styles, colors and different lengths. Your channel has helped me a lot in the struggle to transition to wigs.

Nice that he supports what you like above everything else. I don't have a significant other, but I do play attention to compliments on certain ones. My daughter's bf once said to me "that one is just so spot on!" (Athena by HM) and I've had customers point out certain hair that they say "OH, I love your hair today". Usually it's Athena by HR in 26Gr and 10/613Gr, Miranda by JR in Venice (trimmed up and thinned a bit), Kristen by JR in Venice, and Harper by HR in 10/613GR. When I ask my husband what he prefers in wig colors, styles and lengths I only ever get a response that it’s not my hair so whatever! I am sorry you miss out on the fun of sharing this journey with your husband. It might be the culture, but I know a lot of men that simply are too uncomfortable talking about hair, makeup or anything too feminine..lol. Taz I loved this video so much. Your husband is so sweet with the compliments even when you have no make up or wig on. You really are a beautiful lady from the inside out. I don't fill you had anything done just good skin care plus healthy eating and exercise. I will say this I do think you look different (always beautiful) only because I think when we have beautiful hair to put on and not always fill or think about are hair loss we heal within. I know that for my self. I am learning better skin care my self has added to my look as well as now my confidence with the wig's has made me fill so much more relaxed. (Plus divorcing my abusive x husband)

My husband prefers me in short pixies, especially Rachel Welch Winner, or Sparkle! I’m 68 and I’ve had short hair my entire life, I’d like to try something different at times! I have a 14” Belletress straight topper in cola with cherry. He loves that because I look like me. It’s closest to my natural color, and how I used to wear my hair. I don’t wear it very much because I don’t feel secure at all…like it’s going to fall off, or get lifted off my head by a gust of wind…that very awful big blow (which I always forget about) that comes from underneath as I enter Wegmans. Hate that😂 I am never sure about color or style to order a full-on wig. My first and only wig is BT RoseElla (mocha with cream) Wrong color. Wrong style for me. It’s really just awful. But I shook and raked with my fingers, that it was not returnable. So I am terrified of making that mistake again. A color swatch ring would help, and I found a wig store in California where I can “rent” one. I would LOVE to be blonde!!😊 I think I might to that! Great Vid Taz! Hi Taz: My hubby passed away in May 2022. I live alone so I don’t have anyone to ask which are their favorite wigs on me. I still have lots of bio hair and it’s naturally curly. I thought it was a curse when I was a teenager but I love my natural curl. I would have to say Girl Mono in Stonegrey rooted is my fav. My bio hair is grey also. It’s a good match. When I wear my Girl Mono, even my friends think it is my own hair. It has become a game with my girlfriends husbands to guess wig or my bio hair. I first started wearing wigs as a transition to going grey. It is fun trying to make people guess. I loved this idea for your video. Thank you for sharing it. 🦊

In regards to Raquel Welch - I’m really longing to take the plunge but like you have a petite-average size and often note the styles run large on you. Could you recommend your most comfortable RW fits? Does the Elite run that bit smaller due to being hand tied?

Taz you are such so beautiful outside and inside. I think your cute, bubbly personality shines through in everything you do and wear. I got a HORRIBLE haircut this past October. It wasn't at all what I asked for. Considering how I even showed her a picture of how I just wanted my chin length bob feathered in the front....I was shocked and waited until I got in my car before I broke out in tears. I don't care for extremely short hair and this was so beyond short. My husband measured the hair length and it was 3 inches on top.....2 on the sides and he couldn't even measure the back of my head. She just buzzed the back and shaved it 2 inches about where my hair line was. So I felt awful and with winter approaching and we get snow......I knew I was going to freeze! I just started thinking...well what about a wig to wear until it grows out. I ran across you wearing Raquel Welch's Stroke of Genus and bought it. He LOVES it. He says will you let your own hair grow out like this? I had a few layers cut and it is now shoulder length. I felt uncomfortable with all of that hair and felt like people would surely know it was a wig. But at shoulder length I LOVE it. I get compliments all the time. Even my friends who say me right after the haircut from hell......tell me they think it looks so good on me. So crisis averted. I am enjoying the freedom of putting it on and just throwing on a bit of makeup and enjoying my day. Thank you for being who you are, And also thank you for the makeup video you did also. I purchased some of the products you use and love them.
