    I'd like to point out that with any resin project that is going to come into contact with food or drinks you need to use a food safe resin.
    Otherwise, if a customer has a reaction or any problems, you can be sued.

    • @Sustainmycrafthabit
      @Sustainmycrafthabit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a great point. Yes, you should definitely check if it's food-safe first 😬 Thanks for sharing!

    • @marshamoore8385

      When you sell any hand crafted item you need to put a tag on it. It should state clearly a warning about sensitivity for some people. Yes, use food safe resins. However you need the disclaimer! No one knows if something they buy and use are going to cause alergies or issues. The crafter can not be held liable! It is the responsibility of the purchaser to know what alergies or problems they have. They can try to take it to court. But there is NO way they can prove it was your product that caused their issue!

I waited 3 days and then put a piece of cardboard on it so keep dust out before the next coat. The paper stuck and now my resin has brown spots. I have tried every solvent to get it out. Any ideas?

      I would love to know if you managed this ? I would be dubious with curtain rods specially with how much weigh some curtains hold? But stair case deviders r even book shelf ends? (Like the designer ones everyone wants) specially if u encase LED lights now that would be effective. I’ll add you and keep look out if that’s ok? I’m new to all this resin world do all other crafts and personalised items but resin is all new to me, we have just purchase loads of crystals (well you gets did as it helps with her anxiety) and it came with a few bags of the real crystal chipping which I’m looking to encase in resin … so any ideas welcome. Hope you find some answers hun x

    I'm such a worry wart so I worry about stuff like that I will not go inside the shed once he starts working with epoxy I just want the all-natural epoxy is there something that is out there that he can use that is non-toxic that will not harm our health thank you so much

    • @Sustainmycrafthabit
      @Sustainmycrafthabit  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Charlene. There isn't anything that I'm aware of that would be considered an all-natural epoxy. However, if used properly (well ventilated, avoid skin contact, eye protection) the risks should be quite low. I would recommend researching the particular products you plan to use for full information.

    Hello I'm new to your channel which epoxy is non-toxic and won't hurt your lungs or your eyes or your throat can you please tell me the safest one to use my husband is starting up his own little business inside of his small little shed in our backyard he is going to try and make some stuff with epoxy and also like coasters and stuff so if you can please tell me which epoxy for him to use so it does not harm his health or any of us inside of our tiny little shed thank you so kindly and I appreciate hearing back from you as soon as possible cuz he is getting ready to start his business right now

    • @Sustainmycrafthabit
      @Sustainmycrafthabit  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Charlene. Congrats on taking this step to start your business! Any resin you use should be handled with care, including a gloves, eye protection and a ventilator. Be sure to open the shed if possible to get good air flow. Although once cured resin is non-toxic, the chemicals that make it up are definitely not ones to take chances with. It's great that you are thinking about the safety concerns.

      That's a great question. Sometimes you can cut them down and use the pieces in other crafts. Or maybe paint them and use them as coasters? Can you're pieces be given away as gifts? Sometimes, if they trully don't look nice (or if they don't cure properly) you just have to throw them out unfortunately. -Jane

    Jewel - a colorful, valuable gemstone
    Jewelry - adornments for personal decoration, like necklaces, rings, etc. (often made with jewels)
    Jeweler - someone who makes, appraises, and/or sells jewelry or jewels
    Jewelery - NO SUCH WORD!

    • @Sustainmycrafthabit

      That's interesting. In Canada we do commonly use the word jewellery: "In British English, Indian English, New Zealand English, Hiberno-English, Australian English, and South African English it is spelled jewellery, while the spelling is jewelry in American English. Both are used in Canadian English, though jewelry prevails by a two to one margin." From Wikipedia. -Jane
