I know right. Max Bowden was much better with Tony Clay as Ben than Harry Reid would have been. This more than makes up for The Weddings that Sophie & Paula not to mention Vanessa & Charity didn't have on Emmerdale.
I’m so glad they bubbled up together! It meant that we don’t have to have a socially distanced wedding!

@@robertdavid5528 so like with covid people had to social distance but when someone bubbles up that means they have been tested negative and are aloud to interact with each other and making the show alot better
@@robertdavid5528 it’s related to Covid. They basically, they and presumably whomever they live with formed a group aka bubble who didn’t have to socially distance from each other but have to still maintain social distance from others to stop Covid spread. It’s why they were allowed to stand close to each other for filming, touch and kiss (you can’t have a wedding without a kiss!).
If you compare the wedding to the engagement you will see the impact. The engagement they didn’t bubble and any closeness was camera tricks.
The term ‘bubble’ in this context has become widely used since Covid but it comes from the phrase ‘lives in their own bubble’ which basically mean that you live in your own world separate from everyone else.

English has so many phrases and each of them can be used or meant differently in different country that's why watching EastEnders was a bit of confusion for me. phrases UK people used mostly different from American that's why i got confused sometimes lol
Cracking wedding, so emotional! Max and Tony smashed it like they always do. Their friendship and amazing chemistry sizzles through every time, that's why Ballum are such a popular couple. Hats off to Pete Lawson who wrote the wedding ep, so beautiful.

Did they make the Cover of any LGBT Magazines. They would have been on the Cover of The Advocate and Out in the US in a heartbeat. The US Folks love UK Soaps. So Gay Friendly and The Brits were so supportive of Olivia & Natalia (Otalia) on Guiding Light.
They kept this very low-key I agree. Probably because of Covid but still, it was rushed and then barely hyped. Not by ee nor by the actors.

I've never seen such a crappier Eastenders wedding as this. The wedding could've been better if they had waited a few months (possibly a Christmas wedding) when restrictions were eased and they could have had more characters who, realistically, would have been at the wedding, but as you know this is Oates and Sen we're talking about.
These 2 muppets Oates and Sen have inflicted a lot of damage on the show and made half of the characters irredeemable and unrecognisable (Ian, Sharon, Ruby.. etc).
It's time for them to go.

I wish there were more guests at the wedding and that we would see the celebrations in the vic where everyone is gathering but we can't get scenes like that under this awful era which cares more about the plot than it does the character.
Ballum wedding was hyped up but:
- Not a lot of people (like Phil, Kathy, Rainie, Mick, Ian, Lola, Frankie, Sharon and many others) were there.
- Ben got married in overalls.
- There was no reception .
- No stage do.
- No engagement party.
And it was overshadowed by Whitney running over Kat.

@@paulyb7267 Yeah that's what Kate Oates and Jon Sen care about "sensationalized stunts", they don't care about everyday scenes like stag do or doing a proper gay wedding which is the first one since Chryed in 2012, hell they don't even bother to do a proper funeral episodes just look at how Hunter, Mel and Denny's funerals were absurdly done and don't get me started on the way they handled Kush's off screen funeral
@@syada7 They could've just waited until Christmas (when restrictions are eased) to do a proper realistic wedding.
Or at least had more than just ben and Callum bubble up in preparation! I think forza makes a very valid point that the focus has shifted from issue and family/community orientated storylines and scenes to more sensationalized ones. They could have kept the main meat of this storyline in tact but played it out so differently.

Everyone saying they should of waited until more of the cast could of been there think about it they have had to delay filming it for nearly a year and for the plot could not of put it of any longer hoping the police find Tina's blood in the car and finelly this plot line can come to a end.
They could have waited very easily. With the proposal too. Still don’t understand why all this had to happen in the middle of a pandemic.
It is only a game max so glad Tony wins.i do wish that Tony would be more confident with his answers and stop looking at Max’s like he needs reassure from him

Whitney left Callum at the Altar. Ben was gonna leave them alone, and Callum was gonna marry her. She chose to leave Callum cos He's gay and she's a woman. If it hadn't been Ben, it would have been another man.

Calum was gay, it was up to him to say something not practically fall into the arms of the man who needled and pushed him into coming out. No amount of gay pride makes that not unbelievably embarrassing and hurtful to Whitney who adored callum, she didn't deserve that and Ben doesn't deserve to walk off with the guy he basically groomed the moment he saw him

Callum forced himself to live a lie until he couldn’t anymore. It would have destroyed him. If he had just talked to Whitney she would never have let him go. Callum cheating on Whitney was awful and even then Callum tried to keep pretending. Do you think it’s fair to marry Whitney when he knew it would never make her happy. He even tried to convince her to marry him after she walked away from the altar. She said they both deserved to be happy and she was right.
