Oh good idea Jen it will be happy for a wee bit 👍. I got mine in the other day but due to horrible conditions of wet and cold last year I’m growing in pots inside. Ahh Malvern what fun that would be. Good luck with all the garlic, stay warm, Ali 🥶💨🇨🇦
Hi Jenny, it's good to take notes and experiment in what grows best for your weather and soil conditions. Planting them inside I think it helps them get started without the risk of rot from the wet weather.
Hello Jen ,that’s how I start garlic usually,as long as they are in before the cold weather sets in ,they need a period of cold to divide into cloves 👍👍 new subscriber here and TH-camr 👍
Hi Jen 👋 We bought some of the same varieties at Malvern. I've just subscribed 😊, thought I already had oops 🤭 Nice seeing you at the Malvern Autumn Show. I've just planted my garlic outside but am going to try some in the polytunnel too as mine ended up with rust outside this year. I'm growing my elephant garlic mainly for flowers as I accidentally left a couple flower this year and they were gorgeous so left the rest to go to seed too 😂 Happy growing and good luck with your garlic ❤ x
@@Feelgoodgardens Thank you. 😊 The Malvern garlic seems so much better than anything I've bought before. Mine had rust this time too, hopefully the polytunnel will protect yours a little. Love the idea of letting some flower, I bet the bees love them. Xx

@@myrustygarden Wish you could come to Malvern, I bet it would cost an absolute fortune to get over here though. 💰

Hopefully starting them like this, will help them do better this time round. 🤞

You should set up a buy me a coffee page Jen it’s easy for people to donate there ❤ I do it all,the time for people wink 😉
@@myrustygarden I'll take a look into it, thank Ali. I'd just assumed it was something the bigger channels were able to do.
@ buy me a coffee has nothing to do with TH-cam monetization and lots of smaller channels use it to help with things 👍👍
@myrustygarden brilliant, thank you. 😊
