if Darius spent half the time he chased him across the map with his team team fighting they would’ve won at 20 mins, people just ignore the pressure baus playstyle creates, they either choose to go kill him for less gold than getting a full wave or lose a whole lane and inhib if they ignore him for 5 minutes. My default is to int my tits off for towers, but what i noticed Baus takes his plays, even if it doesn't look like it. I perma push but he switches lanes, sometimes hides, and sometimes just being a menace on a map for the sake of it. Sure not all plays work out, but he still tries to play around his team to an extent

Drew it looks like it's about time for another legendary Korean haircut Also I think the reason that Babus can "int" and out-climb Midbeast is that his strategies involve a lot of solo play, he is able to get objectives without relying on his team for much of anything. Sometimes he can solo carry bad players just through objectives, sometimes he will actually have good teammates that do well in crossmap stuff which just makes it easier. But the one constant factor is just that he's minimizing the opportunity for teammates to completely throw a fight and cause your "good" play to end up really bad. Even if you are 10/0 if you try to teamfight and your entire team chokes and dies around you, there's not much you can do about it.

I think what most people don't understand about his strategy is that he almost always draws 2 or 3 ennemy to get him, and he's only worth like 140g at this point. Which in turn make his team free do make plays with nummber advantages, get obj, scale etc : that's why he consistently gets "better team", because they're playing 4v3
@Midbeast Kidding aside, I'm by no means a high ranked player but have been watching League since Beta and I think "dying more" is actually the right approach for you. Like a lot of highly educated, smart and handsome people you do try to avoid mistakes more than going for the play. Instead of playing not to loose you might benefit from playing to win, even if that means emberassing yourself occasionaly. Your teammates are high level in Masters Korea, but so is the enemy and it is on you to make a bigger impact, even if that takes a !temporary elo loss.
Best thing about Baus though man is the attitude, he just seems like he's genuinely enjoying the game all the time, he doesn't take himself too seriously, I don't really see a lot of ego from him. It's both refreshing and endearing.

This strategy in individual games isn’t really any stronger than the normal play style of just trying to win lane and carry through being strong and winning fights and objectives instead of just dying to take towers. But a big difference I have noticed between the unstoppable babus and most other challengers when climbing is their teams. I also noticed this with another friend of mine who normally loses lane and always ‘gets carried’. It seems that inting makes the matchmaker treat you less as a ‘winner’ (which causes you to be matched with ‘losers’ to keep winrate as close to 50 as possible) and more likely to treat you as a ‘loser’, regardless of win or loss, and so with better teams, as long as you aren’t truly harming your team, you will have a slight advantage in climbing. Carrying multiple games in a row with high k/d is punished by putting you in Smurf queue with other players that have done the same and are “suspected” of being smurfs by the matchmaker. Certainly that is more of a gold/plat thing, but it does mean the matchmaker takes k/d into account. So it makes sense that you can climb fast if you can win games by getting no kills and dying a lot, since the matchmaker will treat you as less of a carry (despite carrying quite hard, which was even recognized by riot as they decided to nerf baus’s main champ specifically because of him), and more as someone that needs carries to make up for their inting. Obviously this is going to be a minor effect in terms of winrate boosting, but still, even if the difference between treatment of the matchmaker is only 2-3% winrate, it means and inting strategy will let you climb more in the long run than otherwise. (To elaborate further on my friend, I’m not saying either of us is particularly good, last season I had two accounts, one jg main one top main, both at gold 1 after about 40 games on the top one, 80 on the jg, my friend was a top main, and had made it to plat after 400 games. Since we both played top we practiced certain matchups together in customs to get better without potentially inting and having to suffer for 20+ mins for just testing stuff out in a norm. Even when playing matchups usually considered bad, like me on garen him on Darius, I literally never lost, and it often ended with me stomping him. But maybe that was just because he wasn’t trying at all since it wasn’t ranked. However, when he finally got plat, I looked at the games that got him there, the wins that took him from 70 lp to 100, and those that he won in promos to get to plat. Surprise surprise, he didn’t have a single game with k/d above 1, his best game was a 6/6/2 garen game. And every single game he had someone on his team that had hard carried, I’m talking 10/2 or better every game, and some he even had 3 people with 10+ kills each. And looking at the kill/death logs on op.gg, I find that every game, except one, he was 0/2 or worse by 10 mins. Maybe he is just a lucky guy, and eventually rolled good teams after 400 games. But considering that multiple times I have, admittedly gotten a bit lucky, and hard carried (15 or more kills with 4 or less deaths) multiple games in a row, only for my win streak to be stopped, not by me playing any worse, but by my opponent suddenly being truly, immensely more skilled than I am, to the point where I can’t even feel anything but despair after about 8 mins in game, and by even other players on my team and the enemy team seemingly having godlike mechanics all of the sudden, leads me to believe I have accidentally stumbled my way into Smurf queue. And considering that riot has also said Smurf queue is a thing, this all means that k/d is, at least from how I see it, unquestionably a part of the puzzle that is the matchmaker. Which ultimately means that inting in a way that contributes towards victory, even if only a bit, is actually a good idea.)

As a bronze player I am proud to announce that indeed some of the best builds are made down here. Afew years back there was an Ashe build with Botrk, cleaver and huricane and I believe that that build was created by me as i played a couple of games of it a few weeks before it got popular. The entire point is, LEAGUE players are unable to deal with extreme splitpushers. I play Dota 2 (over 2.5k hours) and League (since season 2), in Dota2 if someone starts hard splitting with a strong 1v1 champion, instead of chasing the entire team will group as 5 and counter push a lane, force a teamfight and literally destroy their throne (dotas nexus). If we have someone in Dota2 with global abilities / global teleports etc we just teleport over, fight the split pusher as a team and teleport back for a counter push. League is lacking the ability to QUICKLY deal with a splitpusher due to the nature of extremely limited map traversal. If you pick a strong scaling semi-tanky Splitpusher, you'll fuck everyone up just because its SO easy to kill towers / inhibs / nexus turrets. I had games where I went Hullbreaker AP-Bruiser Teemo, was tanky as fuck, started to literally take every single tower across the map and I was chased for half the game and my team just won because all objectives and farm was free. SETT HULLBREAKER SPLITPUSH IS DISGUSTING. Splitpushing is inherently strong because League has limited map traversal, thats just it.

I think what most people don't understand about his strategy is that he almost always draws 2 or 3 ennemy to get him, and he's only worth like 140g at this point. Which in turn make his team free do make plays with nummber advantages, get obj, scale etc : that's why he consistently gets "better team", because they're playing 4v3

@Midbeast Kidding aside, I'm by no means a high ranked player but have been watching League since Beta and I think "dying more" is actually the right approach for you. Like a lot of highly educated, smart and handsome people you do try to avoid mistakes more than going for the play. Instead of playing not to loose you might benefit from playing to win, even if that means emberassing yourself occasionaly. Your teammates are high level in Masters Korea, but so is the enemy and it is on you to make a bigger impact, even if that takes a !temporary elo loss.
Best thing about Baus though man is the attitude, he just seems like he's genuinely enjoying the game all the time, he doesn't take himself too seriously, I don't really see a lot of ego from him. It's both refreshing and endearing.

I think the fact that Baus does not give a Schnitzel about dying and instead focusses on objectives makes a big difference in high elo. He most of the time achieves something by dying whereas not even trying and idling seems simply unefficient.
I mean, if you have a bounty you need to be careful, but I had played with so many dogs that run it down in lane and after feeding the enemy they become bitchmade and play safe. Stuff like Nautilus 0/8 not wanting to facecheck bushes for the team or Riven that dies 10 times trying to 1v1 enemy top then freezing under his tier 3 tower while enemy top is taking topside jungle and diving mid

This strategy in individual games isn’t really any stronger than the normal play style of just trying to win lane and carry through being strong and winning fights and objectives instead of just dying to take towers. But a big difference I have noticed between the unstoppable babus and most other challengers when climbing is their teams. I also noticed this with another friend of mine who normally loses lane and always ‘gets carried’. It seems that inting makes the matchmaker treat you less as a ‘winner’ (which causes you to be matched with ‘losers’ to keep winrate as close to 50 as possible) and more likely to treat you as a ‘loser’, regardless of win or loss, and so with better teams, as long as you aren’t truly harming your team, you will have a slight advantage in climbing. Carrying multiple games in a row with high k/d is punished by putting you in Smurf queue with other players that have done the same and are “suspected” of being smurfs by the matchmaker. Certainly that is more of a gold/plat thing, but it does mean the matchmaker takes k/d into account. So it makes sense that you can climb fast if you can win games by getting no kills and dying a lot, since the matchmaker will treat you as less of a carry (despite carrying quite hard, which was even recognized by riot as they decided to nerf baus’s main champ specifically because of him), and more as someone that needs carries to make up for their inting. Obviously this is going to be a minor effect in terms of winrate boosting, but still, even if the difference between treatment of the matchmaker is only 2-3% winrate, it means and inting strategy will let you climb more in the long run than otherwise.
(To elaborate further on my friend, I’m not saying either of us is particularly good, last season I had two accounts, one jg main one top main, both at gold 1 after about 40 games on the top one, 80 on the jg, my friend was a top main, and had made it to plat after 400 games. Since we both played top we practiced certain matchups together in customs to get better without potentially inting and having to suffer for 20+ mins for just testing stuff out in a norm. Even when playing matchups usually considered bad, like me on garen him on Darius, I literally never lost, and it often ended with me stomping him. But maybe that was just because he wasn’t trying at all since it wasn’t ranked. However, when he finally got plat, I looked at the games that got him there, the wins that took him from 70 lp to 100, and those that he won in promos to get to plat. Surprise surprise, he didn’t have a single game with k/d above 1, his best game was a 6/6/2 garen game. And every single game he had someone on his team that had hard carried, I’m talking 10/2 or better every game, and some he even had 3 people with 10+ kills each. And looking at the kill/death logs on op.gg, I find that every game, except one, he was 0/2 or worse by 10 mins. Maybe he is just a lucky guy, and eventually rolled good teams after 400 games. But considering that multiple times I have, admittedly gotten a bit lucky, and hard carried (15 or more kills with 4 or less deaths) multiple games in a row, only for my win streak to be stopped, not by me playing any worse, but by my opponent suddenly being truly, immensely more skilled than I am, to the point where I can’t even feel anything but despair after about 8 mins in game, and by even other players on my team and the enemy team seemingly having godlike mechanics all of the sudden, leads me to believe I have accidentally stumbled my way into Smurf queue. And considering that riot has also said Smurf queue is a thing, this all means that k/d is, at least from how I see it, unquestionably a part of the puzzle that is the matchmaker. Which ultimately means that inting in a way that contributes towards victory, even if only a bit, is actually a good idea.)

As a bronze player I am proud to announce that indeed some of the best builds are made down here. Afew years back there was an Ashe build with Botrk, cleaver and huricane and I believe that that build was created by me as i played a couple of games of it a few weeks before it got popular. I have always loved theorising and min-maxing the items and runes in league but never had the mechanical skill to pull it off and climb. The entire point is, LEAGUE players are unable to deal with extreme splitpushers.
I play Dota 2 (over 2.5k hours) and League (since season 2), in Dota2 if someone starts hard splitting with a strong 1v1 champion, instead of chasing the entire team will group as 5 and counter push a lane, force a teamfight and literally destroy their throne (dotas nexus).
If we have someone in Dota2 with global abilities / global teleports etc we just teleport over, fight the split pusher as a team and teleport back for a counter push.
League is lacking the ability to QUICKLY deal with a splitpusher due to the nature of extremely limited map traversal.
If you pick a strong scaling semi-tanky Splitpusher, you'll fuck everyone up just because its SO easy to kill towers / inhibs / nexus turrets.
I had games where I went Hullbreaker AP-Bruiser Teemo, was tanky as fuck, started to literally take every single tower across the map and I was chased for half the game and my team just won because all objectives and farm was free.
SETT HULLBREAKER SPLITPUSH IS DISGUSTING.
Splitpushing is inherently strong because League has limited map traversal, thats just it.
