As a 21 year old, I stoped giving my opinion on politics once I realized every single issue has 10 others that get affected by how you handle that one.
As Thomas Sowell says, “There are no solutions, only tradeoffs”. Most people overstate the upsides of their stances while downplaying the downsides. Take rent control as a solution preventing rents from skyrocketing. Those who support it will expound how it will limit how much rent can be increased and will keep rents reasonable. While they will deny or overlook the downsides of landlords jacking up rents for new renters, supply of available rentals decreasing, extreme disparity in rents paid, longer term renters essentially being subsidized newer renters, etc.
@@jzen1455 Hello from Berlin where rent has doubled in 10 years and there is 1 apartment available for every 3rd newcomer to the city. You go to a visit, there are 50 other people there. It is essentially impossible to rent an apartment unless a miracle happens (which eventually does happen if you wait long enough).
Good insight at such a young age when you follow the money up the pyramid there is always a tip and that is where you see money split to both sides..... in the end the elite top 1% never loose they invest 5050 both sides so they loose 50% here but then win 500% there and it happens year after year after year.......the right answer there is no answer cause one thing is always attached to ten and when you focus over here 10 things are happening over there.....
