I’m so glad to see you do some without the swirling. I love love the yellow/orange/brown dome and i vote to be able to see inside, it’s awesome. Inside I can see the swirls going the opposite way kind of like a bow.
You are the bravest artist and you give me courage to just dive in!! Ratio of additives with resin? It’s a gamble for sure!! Yay for the purple ones! Congrats, my dear!
I did the same for a few months ago, the ink was so sticky around, it is satisfying to see that it is not only me it happens to 😂🤪 They’re really pretty, I like the 3D effect in the domes. You can see it swirling around inside 😍🤩
That orange & brown & yellow do,e is perfect and gorgeous!! I love seeing inside. It makes it almost intoxicating to look and meditate on the swirls. Love it! And, yes! I loved your suggestion of covering the backs with black, or even a complementing dark colors. I really love the orange, brown & yellow hearts a bit netter, but only a bit. 🥰🥰
I left a similar comment/tip on your last video with these, but. . . You can use a rotary tool (Dremel or off brand) to drill out the white blobs on top, then do a top coat and you’ll never know they were there. Mutism’s Nature has a video about this as well as a few very informational videos on alcohol inks and working with them.
I like being able to see the inside. Really loved the dome ones best. Could you put 2 full domed ones together? I wonder if you could put a light under it?
I started making Paperweight hearts in this style last year. In fact i have a live tutorial showing how to make these on youtube. I call it the Wispy technique. It's very pretty and effective 😊
LOVE that you used yellow. It really adds a special something to the resin I think. I do like the larger domes for the effect Julie. It really achieves that Jellyfish type look. Keep them delicate. They are quite amazing. Try drilling out the white blobs in the hearts and stick in some sparkly gems. How fantastic would that look! Love your work as usual Julie. Always so entertaining and informative. Stay well. 👍🏻🌺🌴
I bet that technique would be amazing with that amazing gold paint. I think I was a powder pigment tho so maybe you could mix it up with some alcohol or resin before dripping it?
I'd absolutely love the know how u do the resin over resin. On the mistakes, Could u possibly do that video.cus all I see is ur can't pour resin over sticky resin.Have u done this before .Thanks Tracy.i like the way the strands are too, where u can see inside.
Hi,they are truly beautiful 😍, I too have made a chopping board and the last layer is all sticky. It was such alot of work aswel. So can u definitely put new coat over sticky resin and it will set hard.As someone else said it will stay sticky and not set.I do hope u reply, desperate for answer on this,as you have alot of experience. Tracy from England x.
the sticky is due to the amount of ink you use and i find I get that stick from inks is worse with Piñata colors. If you cover with another coat there will be a layer of the soft ink between resin layers. Just what I've found with all the different types of resins I've used
Wow! I really like the dome one that you can see through. The hearts are pretty but I don’t like the splats of white. Would love to see more of the feathering in those. I like both the rounds ones the best!
Love these, love to be able to see the inside very cool. Gilly just wondering if you sell the molds you make or if you have videos on how to make them as I would love the heart mold and the butterfly 🦋 mold that you have
@ Pouring Your Heart Out. I'm making Pyramid molds and my alcohol ink wont penetrate the resin, i get very little petri effect . the ink just stays on top. I am using white sinker after the colors.
HI, I just Couldn’t Choose between any of them I thought they all looked so lovely & pretty 👍 how longe did it take for the Stickiness to dry ? thanks for sharing ✨👍❤️ Lin
It's a shame they turned out sticky like that. Looks like they cleaned up pretty well in the end. They are really pretty! I love that petri effect. Those big domed ones are really amazing! I've never seen anything like that. I think the orange one is my favorite. It cool that you can see inside and see a different kind of effect. They are all just so wonderful!
I have a larger mold with a half dome that is meant for cakes, but haven't tried it yet. I had this type of thing in mind when I bought it. And just today it occurred to me that fine lines of micas or iridescent paints mixed in with the lines of the alcohol inks might be sort of cool too. Or maybe they'd be too distracting. Just a thought that popped in my head. Or what would happen if you dropped in one of your little druzy circles ro use as a pupil??? Beautiful experiments, my dear! And I love being able to see inside too! I have heard that too much alcohol ink can inhibit curing. Fine line to the right balance. Be careful about touching the gooey stuff with your skin allergies!
Your molds are so cool! And your artwork is beautiful! You are one of my favs to watch on youtube! Do you ever have plans to sell em in the states? I cant order from AU ebay here :(
The lines in the domes look like filaments of thread or wire. Do they make a metallic alcohol ink? If they do, it would look beautiful in place of the white.
the sticky is to much ink and it wont set but top coat will fix but you should give a file then coat, if you dont they can just crumble its happend to me a few times
To me the spheres resemble wisps of clouds or smoke in an almost circular flow - as if in a swirling wind tunnel. (For some reason I thought of the vacuum cleaners with clear holding tanks for debris. But much prettier, of course!) I cringed when I saw the soft resin in the hearts. So sad!! Hopefully those will thoroughly cure and be functional. Thank you for sharing the full experience.
To much ink you can mix the white with some resin to think that helps with resin you can only add so much other products before it breaks down it's chemical make up. The first go round would have been perfect well thats my opinion haha thanks for sharing I'm making spice grinders with trays have orders for custom colors doing neons and dried flower imbeds even some glow in the dark
My favorite color is purple so I think those ones are beautiful. I really like the dome ones the way they are, looking whispy and delicate.
I’m so glad to see you do some without the swirling. I love love the yellow/orange/brown dome and i vote to be able to see inside, it’s awesome. Inside I can see the swirls going the opposite way kind of like a bow.
I think it's neat to see inside them.
Like being able to see inside. Thanks Julie xxx
I think they came out pretty. I would like them to be seen on the inside a little. Awesome. You always do great.
You are the bravest artist and you give me courage to just dive in!! Ratio of additives with resin? It’s a gamble for sure!! Yay for the purple ones! Congrats, my dear!
I'm really liking those shapes! Domes, I can't wait to see more! Awesome
I really like being able to see through the resin. It makes a fun artsy kind of effect.
Those are beautiful! I like being able to see what’s going on inside!
I like the more 3-D effect where you can see inside. Cool effect!
I love watching you create. I do have to laugh when something goes wrong... you never cuss like I would do.
I love that delicate look
WOW your experiments are bringing some stunning effects! Beautiful 💖💖💖👏👏👏🇦🇺
I love those! They are delicate and lovely.
Omg love. Them all - so beautiful - really love the last dome shape looks like amber
I did the same for a few months ago, the ink was so sticky around, it is satisfying to see that it is not only me it happens to 😂🤪 They’re really pretty, I like the 3D effect in the domes. You can see it swirling around inside 😍🤩
Very pretty effects Julie, you are so clever.
Magnificent!!! I like the ones you can see inside.
Love the rounds. Especially the brown yellow orange one. The last one you showed.
The orange half sphere is STUNNING! It's perfect just as is.
These are so pretty, I especially love the paperweights. It's like looking into another world
Enjoyable video ☺ 👍

Those are so gorgeous...I would love to have molds like those ....I could have a lot of fun🥰
They look good to me when you can see the inside too.

Yes. I noticed your comment too, and second that. Miryam with a y showed that it works well.
Beautiful 💗

I love the large ones they will make some lovely paper weights love AnneUK xxxx
I like them just the way they are, you can see inside
Awesome video! Thank you Julie ❤
The orange dome is amazing! Love this technique, awesome posing at the end
I like being able to see the inside. Really loved the dome ones best. Could you put 2 full domed ones together? I wonder if you could put a light under it?

These are cool and so different the I love them ❤
Love the blue, purple and magenta hearts. The domes it’s very interesting to see through to the inside and what’s happening in there
Loving all your tutorials, thank you so much. I actually received these moulds today so perfect timing.
😍All of these are gorgeous, Julie ❣️❣️
Absolutely love the see through effect. ♥️
Those are very cool! I would love to see a video on how you make your molds. :)
I think having the little see thru areas gives more mystery to the piece.more to look at than just strands going on.
Love these Julie. I want to see the strands in the middle.
“Nobody wants a flat bottom” (giggle)
😂

So pretty 🤩💕💕
I like seeing inside it looks so amazing I think I might do thin top coat

I like seeing inside the 3D dome instead of solid coverage
Very lovely

I wish I could find that heart mold here in the states. I love the open loop at the top!
Love them

I got gorgeous effects in alphabet keychain

unglaublich schön
Love these, love to be able to see the inside very cool.
Gilly just wondering if you sell the molds you make or if you have videos on how to make them as I would love the heart mold and the butterfly 🦋 mold that you have
Wouldn’t it be fun to put a trinket suspended in the middle? Thanks again for all you do!!
I like to see inside, a metallic sparkle would be nice.

I kind of reminds me of a jelly fish body. I like it!
So beautiful. What piñata white are you using?
I like it looking delicate like that. Not anymore.
Pretty 😍 😘 🦋

I look forward to seeing yours
These are really pretty! Did you add another layer of clear on them?
No
I would want to see the inside strands too. Gives more depth to the piece.
Your molds are so cool! And your artwork is beautiful! You are one of my favs to watch on youtube! Do you ever have plans to sell em in the states? I cant order from AU ebay here :(
MARAVILHOSO!
I like being able to see inside its kool looking
Wow maybe a tiny diorama?
The lines in the domes look like filaments of thread or wire. Do they make a metallic alcohol ink? If they do, it would look beautiful in place of the white.
They do make metallic inks, but these tend to float instead of sinking.
@@mookzmom Thx!
I’m
Nervous about the results… at this point! Wow! Can’t wait to see the turn-out!
Hey! Why do we put 2 layers? I use piniata, and my inks don't sink deep. Do we do two layers for the inks to reach the bottom?
Mine worked well like that
Maybe the shape of the mold affects the doming?
Like an ocean with tiny fish of a sorts swimming around?
the sticky is to much ink and it wont set but top coat will fix but you should give a file then coat, if you dont they can just crumble its happend to me a few times
2nd, lol. One of my favorite ladies for videos.
When the alcohol ink is still sticky like that - it just needed more time to cure and that gooeyness will harden up.
That stickiness happened to a full set of dominoes I made. I think I put in too much paint and my resin has a short work time. They were ruined. 😞
So sad!! I believe you did the Orange color first
I wound up having to throw molds away because it was like a thick slime...too much ink, now I know I'm not the only one...lol

the pinata inks have great color but after about 6 months they start doing that stickyness ugh!
I’ve never been first before lol
CONGRATULATIONS! It a special feeling, isn't it?
💕👍
I think your white ink is too thick. Instead of a swirl, try a liner drag with a needle or toothpick. Say right to left.
