    In this video I travel from Whistler, Canada to Hakuba, Japan to find some of the best powder snowboarding in the world. It's a ten hour flight to Japan, where we are spending the night in Tokyo. Then we take a three hour high speed train to Nagano. Then Finally a one hour bus ride to Hakuba. TJ's friend Bo is also joining us on this snowboard trip in Japan.

    You guys in hakuba!? I learned everything from your channel like 4 months ago with my imagination before I even touch a snowboard for the first time and it totally works, now I'm in hakuba as well, I almost finish my first season here and will be leaving next Friday, just wondering if we can ride together sometime next week. Really want to meet you guys and I kinda want to show off my wildcat too ha!

    Hi guys, you can send your bags via taqubin (black cat) to your next destination. It will take around 24-48 hours. It costs around ¥2600 per bag. You can send your boards and bag to the airport. You can select which terminal. Saves you carting your stuff around the trains and station.

    • @snowecstatic7056
      @snowecstatic7056 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes it's way more convenient because it's very crowded everywhere

Ps we enjoyed Hakuba 47, worth the 10 minute orientation to ride exclusive tree runs! Tsugaike kogen was a blast too!!! Enjoy!!!

    Here is a tip for travelling around japan with snowboard bags...don't! At the airport, find the Kuro Neko Yamato (Black cat carrying a kitten logo) counter and send your bags by their delivery service! They are fantastic and can deliver your bags overnight to Hakuba from the airport or plan two days for sending to Hokkaido. It works out really well cos usually you want a day or two in Tokyo before you go to the ski fields. When you go home, do the same thing in reverse - they will come pick up your gear from your hotel. SUPER convenient!! Definitely easier than lugging your board everywhere especially any crowded train stations or stations where there are sometimes no elevators from the platforms. Also the trains aren't that great for even suitcases sometimes...much better to send your gear right from the airport.

    Flying to Tokyo, staying a few days there then up to Niseko for snowboarding. Considering not bringing my snowboard gear & instead renting performance boards because I am concerned about carrying/transporting all my equipment. Is that a real concern considering how "tight" and "small" everything seems when it comes to Japan?
