he also molested most of his soprano partners , 20 came forward with horrible stories, he threatened them with losing their jobs if he refused them, it was know that you never go into an elevator with this pervert. he was fired and banned in America, they had respect, for those poor creatures, he also regularly went to Argentina where prostitution is legal, they have recordings of him instructing them to bring the little girls up the back way..... WHAT AN INSPIRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@YolandKwok For me, it's something from the heart to think of the golden age as still represented, if in name only, so long as the great tenor is with us. It kinda feels like declaring the galapagos tortoise extinct because only one still lives (actually, 4 live). Without a doubt, opera is forever.
What a treat to find this video @YolandKwok ...Thanks for posting it. Different to most of his other videos but beautiful, as was the Maestro at that age. Charles Aznavour was also in fine voice & must have been around 60 yrs old at that time. Their voices blended beautifully together.
THEY both as so inferior to pavarotti, dumbingo was always so jealous of him, he copied everything he did, you watch him strain and drool, and thrash about trying to sing. a shame he shouldn't be allowed on stage anywhere. a spit in the face of all the people he harassed..........shame
Placido was such a doll!!
So he speaks German, Italian, Spanish, English, and now we know, French. And he actually does speak those languages He is a true inspiration.
He also speaks Hebrew.
And he can't say "no" in any of them😂

He spent nearly three years in Tel Aviv. Surely, he has picked some of the language. Do your research. @@BellaFirenze

I think the golden age of opera has already passed, but as what Maestro Domingo said, opera will live forever.

The singer of LA Paloma is pretty talented herself.
Dang, he was beautiful. And speaks Spanish, Italian, English, German and French. Quelle home. Je l'aime.
Stupid system. Changed my French word homme (man) to home.
In the earlier contribution I meant to write "Quel homme." (What a man.) Not "Quel home."
One doesn't really know a language unless one can joke in it.
I actually said, "Quelle homme," or "What a man."
La belle époque 💙🤍❤️
Merci pour ce grand échiquier ,yoland .C'est passionnant dommage qu'il n'y ait pas la suite.!

Ach wie jung er hier ist, ja bei niemand bleibt die Zeit stehen....
And now Edith Piaf? Or just someone who sounds like her?
He's vain. Look at how he keeps messing with his hair. I think now he mourns the loss of those looks. I don't care. I love him - pas de quoi.
Super🤣
from Othello?
Is this a scene fromOtello?
With Gabriel Bacquier, the marvelous French baritone? Yes, Otello.
