- Going back 80 years into the past, I show you this beautiful Laco Sport watch, which has arrived in perfect shape to this day. It is a small watch for our times, 28 mm to be exact, but which was once normal. The movement inside is a cal. Laco 526 (also durowe 410, which is the manufacturer) and co-founder of the brand. Watch purchased for my collection, arrived in working order, however completely free of oil.
It started working well again after the service.
Finally, the strap makes the watch certainly more wearable for people like me with a 19cm wrist.

Great, an original Laco from ww2 era in nos condition! Excellent service Job. I have been to Laco in Pforzheim but they had nothing like your watch. Thanks for sharing! Regards from Argentina.
Thank you!!!🤝
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video of a special watch on TH-cam: 👌👍👏! There are, however, several moments when I felt that you should be more careful with the balance spring. Once it is bent, it is 🤪 for the watch ...
It looks like the watch was bought yesterday. A great serving. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful watch
Great video, thanks. Where did you purchase hexane in Germany?
I buy it at the pharmacy.
Sometimes it is no longer available and I purchase rectified petrol.
You can measure the barrel and obtain a great new updated mainspring. This would improve amplitude... Beautiful movement for sure....
I replace the mainspring only if necessary. In this case I didn't find it in supply, certainly if I search on the internet I'll find it new. However, the old one was still in excellent shape, I checked the elasticity with tweezers, even if I didn't take it out. The amplitude was 300, I would say perfect, I doubt that with a new mainspring it could improve.
Wonderful work! Is there a name for that type of strap?
You need to search for "Open End fixed jul watch band"
Is that a radium dial? If so, what do you do to make sure you are safe? Thanks for the videos!
Should be safe if the lume is not starting to crumble.
I was wondering about that too. I would like to think it's a radium dial.
I'm not sure it was. Radium generally tends to crumble over the years, forming a dust on the dial. This dust often tends to corrode the enamel of the dial. Radium also tends to darken with age. Maybe it could be tritium but I'm not even sure about that. However, just use gloves and throw away anything that has come into contact with the dial.
