As an Okinawan, he has brought gold to the home of Karate. Awesome! Congratulations, Kiyuna-san!
Home of karate is India...Kalariyapaytu is mother of all martial arts
@@danishk4172along with that logic, we are all monkeys
Him holding the photograph of his mother was the most beautiful and heartbreaking of images. He is an amazing athlete. He deserved that gold.
This guy is impressive, his expressions show an entire culture. Fantastic!
3:57 Beautiful image of gold medalist Ryo Kiyuna with his mother who passed away in 2019
As someone who does not follow karate, I still feel like I've seen something awe-inspiring.
His movements are so sharp, crisp, and.. clean, that you just know you've seen something different.
The emotions in his kata are palpable. This man is fighting using his soul.
Watching him perform his Kaya execution reminds me of my first Kata championship that I've won during my teenage life,
Especially how proud my mom witnessed me holding my trophy.
Mom's smiling from wherever she is proud of her little boy!
I'm not into karate, but these Katas are absolutely beautiful to watch. It's like a mix of martial arts/dance/gymnastics/athleticism. I can see why ancient people were so astonished by the animal forms in Kung Fu styles that would travel. You'd see them preform almost unhuman movements. the snapping noise the gi makes has a rhythm to it that just entraps my attention.
武士喜友名諒さん金メダル本当におめでとうございます㊗️🎊🥇👍✨✨
素晴らしい世界一の型です。
涙が出ます。
I actually had tears in my eyes…. I felt every single move….. Very inspirational….
You should see how his master, Tsuguo Sakamoto do the Ryuei-ryu's kata. So much power and precision.
He is the legend of kata in world karate federation He start to improve and Improve more of his performance since 2012 WKF Till 2021
He is so handsome..so perfect..I can't take my eyes 👀 off from him...love u❤️
Ahaa 😂
@@Ve.for.victory. eeeeeeee😂😂
I wonder how many hours of his life were dedicated to becoming this skilled.
You can do it too
おめでとうございます喜友名さん
A masterful display. Just in awe!
Nothing passed off as martial art.
Precision, balance and power throughout..
I'm from Okinawa.
We learned karate KATA "アーナン" in high school.
Tell me something does all okinowans practice karate and do you do it just as a way of life?...or do you have to go to a sensei to learn it?....
I'm a Filipino I learned kata when I was 5 years old.
Respect 🙏
There's so much Power and raw emotion in his performance.
why am I crying
I don't know why, but same to me
Outstanding performance, Lots of respect and admiration....Oss
It's beautiful It's really cool
simply beautiful
I wish if he did not wear the Karate jacket.
Moves and stays of his muscles would have been a great message to us.
I hope someday....
Living legend 🙌
Im gonna told my grandsons that this the real life Ryu from street fighter. Joking aside, his eyes intensity though... man...
Great to watch. But , when does the fight start?!
Honestly, I’m oblivious to what makes this so exceptional… clearly he is talented at something.. but can someone please explain to me what the brilliancy is here? 😅
Aggression = 100%
Damage = 0%
Perfect and inspirational!!!
It’s my first time watching this sport and I’m already in love with it.
Question - does the sound has any particular meaning behind?
He is naming the kata he's performing
Yes, sound is the expression of power & strength, coordinated extreme physical move.
@@KumarKumar-bv6ju Thank you🙏
In Japanese it is called Kime: The energy, force or power that the karateka must be able to apply in his techniques and it translates into that characteristic snap.
@@KumarKumar-bv6ju I don´t agree. Evidently, you have never seen a true master perform kata. This is circus.
My hero love u
#1 skill for Olympic Kata: The steely look of anger.
it is as if you can see the opponent he is "fighting" against when he executes his kata with that kind of focus.
Un cris des grands guerriers, bravo...
This is very artistic, Enes Ozdemir is also very unique
The various styles - Shorin Ryu, Wado Ryu, Shito Ryu etc. all approach the kata differently in terms of power, quickness of the moves and so on even though they are doing the same kata. How are they judged?
Best performar
Ryo Kiyuna
Bravo 👏
Very good 👍🏻👌🏻
The Karateka must perform Bunkai,as part of the Kata performance .The pandemic is no excuse. The performers can social distance, and do the Kata applications without Physical contact!!!
Your thinking of team kata which was not part of the category in the olympics
Agree. Kata contests have become a cheap circus.
They can do it ONLY in team kata bro
Yes, the original karate symbol its from Japanese., manners and respect.
This is Material Art!
Cool danke
Karatê Forevore OSS ❤💙💚💛💜
I like japan
💗💗💗 Osu what an inspiration
すげぇ
If this doesn't release kame hame there's nothing that could release jk great performance 👍🏻
This isn’t warrior, this is dancer
They can’t fight, because they didn’t fight
Tell me you don't understand kata without actually telling me.
I love shoto kan ryu
Karate kata much more powerful and masterpiece compared than taekwondo’s. But why karate is no longer in Olympic?
What video is the first kata I am not getting it anywhere can you tell where can I find it hanan dai
Congratulations 🎉🏆🥇🥋
Luca valdesi G.O.A.T best ever
Was hoping he would do a FADC.
Respect.
Just Amazing!!!
目が大きくて可愛い
music spoils
Sad when great kata videos get chopped up and edited by the interpretation of someone else.
Okinawa Proud❤️
I'm new to this but is kata for to imagine an opponent or working on form like a dance please im not trying to offend this i will like to know
😢😢😢😢 mi ídolo
What stylist is he. Looks to be Uechi, GoJu, Shorin? I studied shotokan 15 years
It´s so freaking amazing seeing Nobita Nobi with such an impressive attitude, winning a gold medal in kata!... LOL
MAGIC
I can't help but find it funny but I know I must be an outlier from reading the comments.
Legend. 🙌
Congrats Bro
What kata name is this
What are the rules of this game
Karate will be removed from the Olympic event at the 2024 Paris Games
karate removed for breakdancing. simply bollocks.
I still don't see why Damien gets a silver. Is this just Japan being bias in karate? I mean when I see Damien kata he was impressive AF !
What’s with the blue belt? Is he not a black belt?
Viva el kárate. Pureza marcial.
I can also do that kata like him. But im old. Haha!
Kata Name plz?
#RESPECT LEGEND IN OUR WORLD
Olympic gold for fight with shadow come on,
Can’t throw a punch to save his life Jesus Christ….
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Looks like he got demoted to orange belt in the end, judging by this video.
Hai congratulations what style he practice?
Riyuei ryu
KARATE BELO E EFICIENTE
彼は愚地克巳です
Getting medals doing kata is ridiculous@! 🙄 haha!I would have been the only medalist if I knew it was also a thing
Fantastic (Brasil).
Sorry but grimaces and poker faces doesn’t cut it can’t come near the older generation of kata competitors
Legend
The ending was touching...however giving away medals for kata...is like giving a medal to a boxer by making him shadow box...I don't really see the point..
whats with the screaming
thats not traditional karate
and the crowd applauding after each KIA sounds wierd
in my day the crowd were to respectful to make a sound until after the kata was finished
and the KIA came from inside not screamed like a banshee
Don't forget , Damian is the number 1 in WKF
waht kata is this??3.43
Estilo Shito ryu ! Gosto mais Shotokan ! Oss !
Riyuei ryu...me too prefer Shotokan
