I wonder how long those gates that slide into the ground will last. First problem is ground water filling up the underground area. Second is jamming where the gate exits the ground.
Some of them are pretty fancy. For good quality in ok price I suggest Dako.

Some are ok but some are not practical at all. The one at 5:25 if it refuses to come back up due to a gear jamming under the ground will leave you crying or having to expensively dig the ground just to get to the gate?

The telescoping gate is nice but the idea is not new. Elevators have been using this system for years. As for the bi-fold doors, yes they work very well and that is why in aviation be it commercial buildings (hangers) or private airport hangers they have been using this type of hanger door for years. The same reason you are now using the older system is that it takes up no ground space when closed which is why aviation settings have been using this system for years.

You need more motor power to operate this upward movement of the door.
2:18 is there some safety fixture to prevent children from being spiked or hanged from the gate when it lifts up like that. The hole thing looks like an accident waiting to happen.
Almost 3 million views just watching doors open! Props to EDWIN! In the 90's when the Internet was first starting and people were thinking of ebsites and content I'll bet no one thought they could start a site where people contribute billions of videos where people can watch doors opening! If you would've gone to a bank for a business loan to start that company they would've turned you down flat!

Second one and the glass doors are just way too cumbersome for me. Green metal gate is the worst thing ever. The question is though. Will any of these hold up against the zombie apocalypse? 😂

As someone who used to repair garage doors fuck that door that folds in half upwards. Enjoy having to repair that thing every 10 years. Doesn't look very safe either. Spring snaps and boom that thing is on the ground.

On a very windy day you will find out. And no, warranty does not cover stripped and broken gate openers never designed to pull those loads.
I don't discuss the technical aspect of this installation. I just wanted to point out that the majority of the images in this video portray unusual frames or for opening system or for their aesthetic aspect. And what I was talking about in
my comment, regardless of the technical qualities not immediately visible at first glance, is nothing more than a normal one-leaf gate. The title of the video, moreover, says "amazing ideas". and not "simple gates with great hidden qualities"

They did this due to the height of the garage. Looks to be only about 8 ft(2.43m) -- The arm would have sit down even lower to pull it up, and the height of the area when the door is open would mean they would at minimum have to bend down. Opening to the side avoids all of that.

Sliding door would be more simple instead of these folding doors.
No bumper swing gates, very big in Texas, but if you don't get out of the way quickly, they knock the crap out of your truck when closing.

Most likely, the safety sensors are not communicating with one another and\or the opener...... look for sensors aim.... when good, one will have a red light and one a red light..... from there, inoperable sensors, wiring to opener......i hope this helps! Let me know what you find!

Its not regular at all, regular overhead sectional doors have hanging suspension from ceiling, there is no suspension support on that door

Wouldn't keep bulls in, but most other livestock it'd work for.

These are not good doors, we have seen several accidents with them, fallen, jammed, got stuck & failed
