    very helpful, was wondering about the heater in my trailer most likely run off of shore power or generator.

      If is a LP gas furnace that comes with most RV's it most likely is gas and a 12 volt fan that runs off your battery. Any other electric type most likely has to have shore power.

    Never owned a trailer before so I wanted to ask how you re-charge the 12 volt battery?

    • @Turtle3863
      @Turtle3863  ปีที่แล้ว

      The solar and when hooked to the car as well as the converter when hooked to shore power

    Great overview! For monitoring the battery charge, do you use the GoPower monitor whenever solar is operating, and only use the battery test near the door when you're plugged in to shore power?

    • @Turtle3863
      @Turtle3863  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I never use the one near the door because all you get is 1/3,2/3rds and full, no voltage.

      @@Turtle3863 I was told that solar isn't operating when you're on shore power. But the GoPower monitor still operates?

      @@stevencochran5623 yes it still monitors your battery level

    No tank heaters on the FD? Is that something you might install or do you not do cold weather camping?

      Not much winter camping and besides I worry more about the exposed water lines

    Good stuff if you are an RV newbie looking for info.
    How long have you had your 19FD? Any major issues with it or just the usual 'little things' that are common? Looking to possibly have one by the end of the year.

      Silas Longshot got it in May, only problem so far was a loose wire on one of the entertainment speakers

    If I had a 12v battery and only ran a 12v fan, how long do you think it would run? Ultimately trying to find a way to keep a fan running for my dog as long as possible for those hot days she needs to be inside away from the heat.

    • @Turtle3863
      @Turtle3863  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most fans do not take much energy, I would say you would be good for 24 to 48 hours depending on how high you ran the fan
