This would be a "hit and miss" engine? I mean without actually pulling any load it skips a few ignitions until the rpm goes lower then "hit" it to maintain idle speed...?
I assume that you are deaf already, and don't have neighbors within a couple of miles! The vibration might be relaxing, if you like traveling on large ships! Wouldn't be a problem in a saw mill, half the time you can't hear yourself think!

Effortless start up, often lost a lot more sweat starting a Lister D. Is that the original fuel tank?.
