Father, there are a few times when a baptism happens in a liturgy, sometimes converts are baptized in the 15 readings from the Old Terstement on the vespers of holy Saturday, which is a very powerful time for it to happen. It is up to the Priest of the parish to decide to do the service then.
+Phoebe Kearns These are rare occurrences. To my knowledge the service requires a Bishop's blessing for the Priest. There IS discussion about mainstreaming the practice again, but for now it is very rare.
Sacraments are not in the Bible. Holiness is living as the Lord Jesus lived. He is purity and said " I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me." (John 14:6) True believers understand that they are saved from hell by His death and resurrection, not by merit. (Ephesians 2:8,9) Christ + nothing = salvation.
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God - John 3:5 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. - John 6:53 Here we see the sacraments of Baptism, Chrismation and Holy Communion. Even the Devil has faith in Christ, yet he is not saved.

Why is it that in the Russian church people are required to go to confession before taking communion?

Although the Catholic Church talks about 7 it does not believe that God's Grace is confined to them.
Clearly you have no idea what you're taking about.
There is a infinite number of sacraments because anything could be a sacrament
A sacrament is where God’s presence is intensified.

Sacraments are most surely in the Scriptures.
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God - John 3:5
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. - John 6:53

And Christ was revealed to them (the Emmaus disciples) in Scripture and the breaking of bread. Luke 24
