Central provinces armies were using Germans helmets primarily due to the Chiang Kai Shek's government friendly relation with the German government and province being under direct central government (not individual warlord) administration. Some other warlord states in the south such as Yunnan have french influence such as Adrian helmet due to proximity to French Indochina
