I had a blast making this video. I’m going to do a tips and tricks video for Iron Helm as well. If there are any other games I think would be good to do a tips and tricks video for, I’ll cover those as well.
Game Knight coming in with the tin meta! Of course the real trick, and I know you can attest to this heh, is to remember all this in the middle of playing the game. Lord knows, the good God just loves to hit us gamers with the cause of the derps in the thick of things even if you could perfectly recall the information a second ago.
Of course watching just blows my mind over how much gameplay Jason manage to compress into a little mint tin. In fact seeing this makes me realize how even deeper the push your luck runs even compared to Iron Helm. There you always roughly know the deal since choice number two is usually worse with only a few exceptions. When picking cards but in Tin Helm you don't have that same level of near certainty and you really have to try and run a mental track of what cards you've pulled and what each location has on the other side. Good stuff.
Oh, absolutely! Haha 😆 I’m sure I’ll find it difficult to remember all of the tips and I included in this video. It is definitely a different story when you’re playing the game, and in my case, adding commentary the entire time; it’s easy to forget things and make mistakes.
I really enjoyed making this video. It was a blast to make and I intend to make tip videos for other games, including Iron Helm. If even one of these tips comes in handy for someone, it’s worth it. It goes to show that there’s a fairly high skill ceiling in Tin Helm. You can always add more knowledge as you go.
I started out playing Tin Helm by just going in blind and experiencing the game. I enjoy that style of play the most. Now that I’ve played the game so many times, and learned a lot while doing so, I felt like it was time to dive a bit deeper and look at the inner workings a bit closer.
I’ll be interested to see how well I can implement these tips moving forward. 🎲🗡🛡

I took all the character cards out into their own baggie so there's more space in the tin
I ain't gonna remember all that. Great tips though.
I’m sure a couple may come in handy for ya. Always skip the Stash and Sanctum. That’s the main takeaway.
So basically you want to be decked out like Bilbo.
Sword = Sting
Ring = The One Ring
