I don't know why there are no Napalm bombs in DCS. Napalm was used in WW 2, Korea and Nam. I will never forget the F-5A's used in the movie Apocalypse Now and dropping Napalm and Robert Duvall saying " I LOVE THE SMELL IF NAPALM IN THE MORNING". The USA dropped Napalm on the forest in Germany and on Japan. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Eagle Dynamics give us Napalm. FYI: Mk 77 Mod 0 - 750 lb (340 kg) total weight with 110 U.S. gallons (416 L; 92 imp gal) of petroleum oil. Mk 77 Mod 1 - 500 lb (230 kg) total weight with 75 U.S. gallons (284 L; 62 imp gal) of petroleum oil.
Calling this beauty a mod does it disservice. Unlike all but 2 mods for DCS, essentially all are someone's fan fiction. Not this baby....this baby can roll!
Not really NWS, only the F, M and TAs had NWS. This mod has an assisted differencial braking, using the rudder, to help those who don't have brake pedals :) thanks for sharing, I love this module!
Mirage has DEC terrain clearance mode, and the JF17 also has a similar mode. Also, those returns are at or above your clearance height, not necessarily ownship altitude. If your floor was 1000ft, and you were flying at 2000ft, a feature at 1500ft would show, even though you could technically clear it.
Usually I won't have any truck with third party unofficial mods, but this one is an exception. It's so far and above a reskinned F-15C with hacked up code and a wonky cockpit. This one looks better than some of the early mods that I've paid for from the ED store (FW190 Dora and Huey I'm looking at you). The flight model is delightfuly analogue and reminds me of the Tomcat, and it's a proper little bomb truck of a thing. Well done to the devs of this one, it's impressed me so much that I'll find the donate link directly after I finish this
Oh Cap, how could you miss the opportunity to use Kortana to sell the video? Regardless, the A4 for a freebie is pretty darned good. Seeing as cluster munitions are in game why is napalm not?
Great video! I love that this mod which is a better module than some paid modules (looking at you Yak...) is getting this attention. I'm quite new to DCS so I'm honestly ignorant. Your statement that it should be a paid module so that it can be added to servers led me to a lot of questions: Doesn't a paid module require you to download it to play it on a server? With a mod do you have to have the mod installed to even join the server? If so, would it be possible to add free mods that meet "module levels" of quality to the base game in a way similar to paid modules? I.e. you could see the plane and see a greyed out slot like any other plane you don't have access to. I'd love to see this and the 104 added this way if it were possible. Also, for a future video, could you use the A-4 loaded with all gun-pods on the wings and belly? I am sure your team can come up with some fun gun-pod only shenanigans :D
There is a way around the problem of mods and multiplayer servers...I think it is a scripting thing that means players do NOT need to download the mod even if it is on the server.
For me the A4 is not a mod, it's a free (full price) module.
I'd pay $50.

We need to put pressure on server owners to include this aircraft. Installation is easy and anyone who doesnt have this module is missing out.

Radar interpretation is an art and takes practice. I use to score them in the USAF. Wish the A4 mod had the ability to do offset aim points

For me rudder assisted brakes doesn't work.
One plane I hope comes into the game either as a paid module or a community mod is the f111 pig with its terrain clearance

I've seen games add mods as free content so they are part of the base content. That would be the best way to include mods for all.

They don't even have to make it a paid module, just have it as a free module apart of the base game like the frogfoot.

Everything about the mod is great...except the exterior engine sounds. That's my only complaint.
I'm brand new to DCS and I own F-18, F-16 and Flaming Cliffs. Would anyone recommend I start on the A-4 to learn my first high fidelity module?
