What a video, Adrian absolutely loved it and the images are some of the best you have shown on your channel. Harris looks a wonderful place that hopefully I will get to visit in the near future. Can’t wait to see you take on Skye.

I did the islands about 25 years ago, we sailed from Oban to South Bara, then ferry hopped through all the others ending up in Lewis, it was one of my best holdays ever in the North, such a magical place. Absolutely some great images Adrian.

Hi Adrian, You are so right when you said the Isle of Harris is special. The long exposure of the Church was great. Stunning photos all around this beautiful place. I liked the Barrel in the water shot it was good you photographed it. I like how you try to photograph different things. I think those Goats might have wanted you to take a photo of them 🤣. And a great relaxing way to finish the day with a Ferry ride. Thanks for this wonderful journey.

I’m in the North West UK so if your passing give me a shout. I can take you to a few beautiful long exposure places on the coast. Stay safe and hope your don’t break anything else 😖

A very nice video about the isles! Like a travel agency promoting the isles of Scotland. Scotland is for me simular to rain, stormy wheather, dark clouds, very little sun, without any colours. All in B/W and all taken in the same way, monotonous. Very beautiful pictures nevertheless for me also very dramatic.

Thank you for sharing. Harris is a wonderful place, and your photos do it justice. Especially since they went beyond the "usual fare" of Harris - the long beaches. Which are awesome, for sure, but there is so much more to see and enjoy.

La foto de la vaca puede ser la mejor foto que he visto de una highland cow. La expresión, la sensación de movimiento del flequillo, la posición de cabeza y la composición... Para mi es una fotografía que sin duda colocaría en mi salón. Me encanta. Enhorabuena, Adrián.

It's becoming routine to say this but fabulous video and fabulous photos, as always. You are inspiring and so much better than the good, but nothing like as good, better known British youtubers like Heaton and Danson. Such a true artist. I don't understand why you don't have half a million subscribers. People must be blind, is all I can think. Love your work.
Anyway, exciting times ahead for me, too. We have this fisherman's hut near Dumfries which has been in the family since the 1960s. Trips up there with my wife inevitably end up being repairs, maintenance and painting trips. It's a lovely spot, but I miss the opportunity to explore and photograph the area. And this week I'm leaving the wife at home and going up with my brother in law, and he can do the DIY. I'm going photographing. Got shoots planned in the Lake District, Peak District and limestone pavements of the Yorkshire Dales and the Galloway National Forest in the Southern uplands. Maybe a trip to the Stranraer/Port Patrick area. I'm hoping this will be a success and the first of many photo outings using our hut as a base. I can make it to the Trossachs on a day trip but I think to go further north will mean your trick of sleeping in the car (a Polo 😞). I'm hoping this will be a start to putting together portfolios for a stab at the RPS Distinctions. Wish me luck!

Really enjoyed this - not seen videos of people shooting B&W on the islands before and we are going there in 10 days for a month!
I was slightly amazed at your 4 minute exposures - you said you were using a CPL but presumably you also have an ND filter like a 10-stop or similar? Could you just share a little more detail about how you are creating 3-4 min exposures in these conditions please. Many thanks

I too watched Michael Shainblum, operating on the west coast of USA, amazing. Anyway, glad I don't live there, as there are way too many extraordinary landscape photographers, I would loose my spirit. While here I'm the best, only being ordinary on the US west coast or in England. I mean, here at Toten I'm the best, not in Norway, that's Olemartin Evensen at Abelvær.
I started a new project now, photographing the smallest lakes of the Totenåsen Hills, called a "putt" in Norwegian, meaning very small dams no one care about, often in the middle of a bog. Often they don't even have a name. Not spectacular at all, forgotten.
And still, by photographing them, it makes me special, as nobody else cares🙂
