Love the positive spin on the plane noise. These are full size passenger jets. There's no getting use to it, ever.

There are some neighborhoods that you don’t hear much plane noise at all.

Personally, it never bothered me. I lived in downtown San Jose for two years. I had to move for personal reasons but would strongly recommend the area. I would move back there tomorrow if I could. I shared one of the Victorian homes with several college students (I was in my early 30s). 🙂

There was a coworker not too long ago went to have a night out at San Pedro square and suddenly she and her husband they caught sight of a lady taking a number 2 on the streets. Oh and she was topless. Or at least it looked like it. It was closer to dark when this happened.

biggest homeless encampment in the country. You haven't been there in a while, it was called the jungle and that wasn't in downtown. That was in East San Jose and it was cleared out in 2015 iirc.

San Jose, California is boring and vastly overpriced. Median average house is $1.4 million. Nothing to do but work; at night nothing to do except gambling at the Asian games at the casinos. Downtown is nothing but police and riff raff. Los Gatos and Saratoga are the place to live but most cannot afford it.

San jose is a beautiful city. I used to live off Morrill ave which is right there by the hills. I would jog sometimes early morning and after and oh the fresh breeze and the lush neighborhoods and the quietness you get around the dark hours. But as expensive as San Jose is, it’s really not a place many can afford to live in. to live in San Jose is actually a privilege in my opinion.
