    Lets be honest Rosario Dawnson had a huge task and so did the make up artists. They nailed it. What I didnt expect was for Rosario to try and suit her voice to Ashley. When she first spoke i felt tears cause it seemed like Ahsoka form the Clone Wars show. I hope to see more

    • @patsfreak
      @patsfreak 4 ปีที่แล้ว +469

      There were little hints of Ashley’s inflections here and there. The facial expressions helped seal the deal though. The little grin before she jumped over the tree and defeated Mando’s grapple was pure Ahsoka

    • @e115mastery
      @e115mastery 4 ปีที่แล้ว +316

      I think she spoke like ahsoka does, much like how Hayden speaks like Vader does. Obviously the voice is different but the actual way in which they talk is so similar at times. I bet Ashley is so, so proud to see Ahsoka on the screen in live action.

      There was a moment during Din and Ahsoka's fight where she looks up at a branch, smirks, and pulls Din up in the air with his own rope. That smirk, that's was the moment.

    I am crying. The music, the moment of realization that we finally have her as a live action character! And it happened while I am working for my pre exams, so the Mandalorian is pretty much the only thing what I'm looking forward to. And now they gave us Ahsoka in live action, a person who is real and important to me, and I know I'm not the only one who feels like that. It's all a bit to much to handle for me. Call me soft, call me weak, it's true, she makes me soft and weak. Call me weird, I don't care. I am happy for tonight. All love from a grateful Star Wars Fan! (We are rare, but we exist)

    The way her theme came in when the Razor Crest was taking off really was a gut punch to me. Ahsoka's theme was honestly always a bit prophetic as to her character: raised and taught by a renegade Jedi doomed to fall in order to save the galaxy, she herself was doomed to become a renegade who would LEAVE the Jedi in order to transcend to new heights and, as we saw in the new Boba episode, help to re-establish the Jedi by aiding her former master's son. Through all the pain, she never abandoned the principles that Anakin taught her, the principles that Luke saw buried in Vader, those principles that brought balance to the Force.
    There aren't many of them left, but the critics really do need to look at just how beautiful the journey of Ahsoka Tano actually is.

    I loved how the ending seen of her walking off by herself rhymed with so many of her big scenes-the moment she walks away from the Jedi, the moment she leaves with Rex after Order 66, the scene of her descending the steps on Malachor. These scenes all tell us that Ahsoka is setting off on a new path, that she’s turning to the next chapter of her life.

    Imagine this. We are in a different timeline, and Ahsoka is the one facing Sidious at the end of episode 9. She's standing there, eyes closed, focusing, remembering all her past life since the clone wars, and then she hears a voice. That's Anakin, soon followed by the voice of Obi, Yoda, Mace, and all of the other Jedi she knew, loved, outlived. They give her all the strenght she needs to overcome her adversary, who is all alone, no matter how old and powerful he is. She opens her eyes, smilling, fully revigored and ready, with the might of a thousand Jedi within. And she strikes, putting a definitive end to Palpatine. A fair payback for everything he has done to her, and the ones she used to know, directly or not.
    All that while Rey is somewhere on Jakku dusting stuff, away from everything...

    This is a beautiful piece of music; it really made the episode. I've never seen Ahsoka in anything before, so this was my introduction to the character. i thought the actress did an amazing job portraying a Jedi; felt like the first time I'd seen one since the prequels in a way; the story and portrayal of her felt very true to the spirit of the Jedi. And I was shocked but the end actually made me cry; the combination of the music, and Dawson's performance, embodied for me everything the Jedi were; contentment, joy, stoicism, sadness and pain too at being alone, and nobility and endurance. Thought it was the best episode yet and I hope we see more of her character.

      What a beautifully written opinion. I totally agree. In contrast, as a die hard fan, I’ve watched Ahsoka in the Clone Wars for 12 years, and seeing her in live action for the first time was just incredible and emotional. It fills me with so much happiness that Star Wars is finally back! The sequels were a COMPLETE disaster. I didn’t resonate with them at all. Rey was an unbelievable and characterless “Jedi”. She doesn’t come close to Ahsoka! It hurts that this production team was not utilised for the sequels, who could have improved the movies links to Rebels, Clone Wars, The Prequels and the Old Trilogy. Instead, we got a meaningless storyline which ended in a starship battle that had less grandeur than Moff Gideon showing off a single E-WEB cannon.

      @@joshcowham8668 Thanks man. Ah I'm really glad you felt the same way as an Ahsoka fan; I can imagine how amazing it must have been to see. I think I'd forgotten how much I love the Jedi, and the spiritual aspects of the Force etc. that we got in the OT (and PT as well). They meant a great deal to me from a very young age, so to see the way Ahsoka was talking about the Force, her interactions with Grogu and Din as well, her presence etc., made me feel that finally someone had figured out what made the George Lucas films so special.
      Listen to me, I sound like a fanboy haha and I've never met the character before. But yeah it does feel a great relief to get that sense of those crucial aspects of Star Wars returning.
      I agree completely that the sequel trilogy completely lost all sense of the spirit of the Jedi, lost the connection to the force, the spirituality, the deep emotion etc. that was present in both the OT and PT (both of which I loved). And on top of that they were so plagiaristic of the OT, especially TFA, that it was insulting. I hate those films with a passion and could talk for hours about them aha; as far as I'm concerned they're not canon.
