    My US FLC setup - 2x Nalgene Oasis water bottle (left & right), 2x Triple M4 mag-pouches front-left-right, rear side-Admin pouch for energy bar. Good to have Nalgene Oasis as you indicated here.

      Honestly, I’ve gotten some more experience and done some extensive testing and decided for my mission set this rig is just a little too bulky, it is nice to live out of but realistically that’s what your pack is for! Nothing will ever lay as flat as sewn in pouches. Therefore I’d reccomend something like a mayflower rig or a OnwardResearch Reccie rig. But if this is what your command requires you to have then it’s not a terrible option if you can handle the bulk. Happy Thanksgiving, stay safe out there!

      Thank you, I’m continuing to think and improve. I’ll be making more videos soon. I hope I can make videos more often. As always think for yourself and don’t copy other peoples kit, let the mission dictate the gear not the other way around 😂

    Nice rig. Updating my TAPS as well and this was a great video. What size of Kydex inserts do you use? There are several sizes and just want to make sure I get the right ones. I appreciate it.

      I just got normal 556 size ones from Amazon, they fit pretty tight in there so no need for Velcro to keep them in. Also they keep the pouch open so it’s easy to get mags in. These are the ones I have.

    Maybe I'm dumb, I understand carrying multiple tourniquets if your plan is to have spare for teammates, but for yourself if you have more than one arterial bleed at a time spanning multiple limbs, you're likely dead, you would go into shock/lose consciousness before you could even apply the 2nd one, maybe it's smart to have multiple accessible for others to apply if you're unconscious? Idk... Anyway I carry one on the front of my kit easily accessible and one packed in the ifak. Really liked your overview/setup

      Tourniquets are pretty simple, but it is still very plausible to lose one, or damage one in combat. It never hurts to have spares accessible from multiple points on a loadout. As well as like you said it never hurts to have a spare for teammates in need.

      Well, listen nobody is planning on becoming a nugget. Just remember you always pull from the patients IFAK not your own. The first intervention you always use is what? Yep a TQ, it might be a simple through and through no arterial bleed but as far as SOPs go. You always put a TQ on in Care Under Fire. So imagine a situation where your casualty gets hit by shrapnel. There’s a lot of blood everywhere on let’s say 2-3 limbs, in the moment you don’t have time or the saftey to figure out if it’s arterial or not. So you’re gonna use a TQ. That’s your first intervention. You won’t know the extent of those wounds until you get into tactical field care. Anyways also consider the fact TQs are super light and often get lost all the time. Doesn’t matter how much you rubber band them on, shit degrades and falls off or apart. Here’s your reminder to replace TQs regularly that’s on the outside of your kit. I’ve seen them break, don’t let the reason you die be because you couldn’t afford a 20 dollar TQ but hey at least you have a 200 dollar Unity Riser for your EOtech. You get what I mean 😅

    I keep all my ifak contents inside of ziplok bags just so I dont risk a yard sale.

      Not a bad idea this ifak comes with an insert so it retains it pretty well with bungees but I definitely like the idea of keeping everything together and sterile most importantly. Infection is one of the biggest killers historically on the battlefield of course modern medicine has changed that statistic a lot however it all starts with the first line of care 👍

    FLC and TAP are not interchangeable terms 😅

      Well that’s why I said both because they are commonly referred to as both by people in the army

    What’s the empty dry weight?

    • @TacticallySound223
      @TacticallySound223  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is no empty dry weight, far left pouch nods, next pouch over general field items( whistle, tape, 550 chord headlamp, face paint) next one is a full IFAK and next one is a spiritus double mag pouch (spud) loads me out to 8 mags, next one is the canteen pouch. Only other pouches I would think of that has nothing in it is the built in back pouches facing my body which I choose not to fill because it stabs into my side. Only thing I would ever put in there is maps and maybe a notebook. Hope that answered your question
