- We are so excited to be in Bermuda! And the best thing is... we have three days in port!! I love this format of cruising where we are docked in one port for multiple days and we can come and go as we please. It is laid back and we will really be able to explore and undrestand this island! From talking to the locals, the best way to see and experince Bermuda is on a scooter! So we head over to the rental shop and get one for two days of our trip. Off we go!!
It is so much fun to have the freedom to explore! They gave us a map of the island and some tips of where to go, what to see and what to eat! The local way of eating a fish sandwich is on toasted rasin bread with coleslaw on the sandwich, so we are on a mission to try this!

I've lived in Bermuda for over 20 years, but I never cease to be amazed by the beautiful blues in our waters. Looks like you all found a couple of fun, touristy things to do. Hope you head east and explore more of the island! Safe travels! PS: we don't drive on the "wrong" side of the road, we drive on the left side of the road.😉
My favorite place. When ships were smaller we stopped at St. George’s first then Hamilton. Was much more enjoyable then. Dockyard is too far from everything. Love the ferry ride to Hamilton from Dockyard. Thanks for sharing.😎

As a Bermudian, I would recommend getting twizzy instead... for those that are nervous on a bike, better way to go. Hope you travel eastward, and leave dockyard. :D

I LOVE BERMUDA. I have been on 2 cruises out of Charleston to Bermuda and I have flown to Bermuda to visit an old friend. He lived in Bermuda and gave me his receipe for RUM SWIZZLES, and it is amazing. It is funny to take them to a pool in the HOT summer and they go down so easy and when they hit you....WATCH OUT!!!! The people in Bermuda are very nice and very proper. I found that going places while he was at work the people would help me to get back to where I was staying. I went to the Frog and Onion the first time I was in Bermuda. The Royal Dockyard used to be a fort and is now a shopping area. The first time my friends cruised to Bermuda we docked at St Georges. It is an amazing passage way that you could literaly touch the rocks. I loved St Georges, it is a very small town. Hamilton is very nice too. I learned to use the bus system when I was there. I did alot of walking too and found alot of amazing places. I NEVER rented a scooter because there are so many wrecks on them from tourists that do not know what they are doing. The water is the most beautiful color of blue I have ever seen. Oh, do I ever love Bermuda. I do love Rum Swizzles and I have the best receipe for them from a special Bermudian.
I sailed my boat there and spent 3 weeks there….Bermuda is one of my favorite islands. The one issue is the weather gets cold like NC in the winter…The nice thing about the Bermuda Cruise is the time you get to spend on the island……Its nice to relax and explore like you said….It is one of the cleanest islands….Woody’s is great…Get a Dark n Stormy

Can’t wait to go back. It’s my absolute favorite island and we’ve booked the NCL Prima in 2023. My favorite excursion was glass bottom boat into the Bermuda Triangle. Captain played theme to Gilligan’s Island as we started out. A couple we met was going to stay at hotel on the island where they spent their honeymoon so, at least in 2019, you could stay on the island overnight but it’s really pricey! If you don’t hear about this on an excursion, read about their system of acquiring fresh water on an island where there is very little of it. It’s fascinating.

That vision of you pulling up to the money spot on the pier was definitely the closer on getting one for our entire 3-day stop Oct 23, 2022 on the Carnival Magic. Dial us in on who you used and if you'd use them again?? Love you guys!!
I just love your posts, you have helped us figure out cruising and now of course we are hooked. We just went to Bermuda and was suppose to have three days in port. But hurricane Ian cut a day off the Bermuda port. One thing you mention is of course the scooter and little cars you can rent. I hope I didn't miss you saying this but when we arrived they told us we needed to rent the cars 6 months before our trip. The scooters were also sold out the day we arrived. My husband was first in line the next day and we were able to get one scooter. Did the whole island on the scooter, went to St. George and back to the port, we had a great time. Thanks again for the great information, you now have us looking into train trips.

Was just in Bermuda same time as you guys….. easily the best port stop of any cruise I’ve ever been on. So much so it’s only cruise port I’ve ever flown back to.
Hi guys, try the Frog and Onion pub which is right near the ship! We loved our meal and got a souvenir beer mug with the purchase of the drink. Unfortunately, my husband broke the mug so we said we MUST return to get another one! Also, don't miss St. George's at the other end of the island. We stayed at Grotto Bay for our honeymoon, it's near the causeway. So excited for you to be in Bermuda and can't wait for more footage!

I love Bermuda. I have been there 5 times and am going again on June 12th. Sailing on Celebrity Summit out of Bayonne, NJ. I have never had that fish sandwich but will make sure to try it!
And the beach has pink sand, was there on my honeymoon 50 years ago. Yes scooters are a fun thing to do, have fun!!

Yawl need to book the NCL for Sept. 29 - through Oct. 8th this year, 2022. My sister and I are going on our first cruise. The ports are PR, DM, St. Thomas, St. Johns, St. Maarten. Cruising out of Port Canaveral, Florida. We are so excited!! Keep the videos coming. Love them.
Gotta do Tobacco Bay beach day, a Jet ski tour, Sunset glass bottom boat tour, and the awesome mini golf in the fort (its real holes shrunk down)

I did the sane but on breakaway just loved it saw all those pink sand beaches and travaled by local bus and ferry was very easy one of my best cruises
We sailed to Bermuda on the Celebrity Zenith years ago out of Bayonne, NJ. We docked at Hamilton for 2 days and then at St. George's for 2 days. We rented the scooted and they moved them from Hamilton to St George's. We have been there 3 times.

What a great idea to stay there for 3 days!! I kind of wished they had spent overnight on one of the islands in our Hawaii cruise. That would have been so nice!! Cool that you can rent a scooter for 2 days and park it next to the ship. Looking forward to the next video! Thanks for sharing :)

Bermuda is our favorite! We've been there 2xs. But our cruises were 7 days long (could've been longer) and 5 days there. We actually ported at St. George and Hamilton. We rented the scooter for the entire time and covered the whole island...never felt safer on any other island...absolutely the most beautiful. 🤩😍🌺🏝💙 So ready to go back.

Pam, we have cruised to Bermuda 11 or 12 times on Norwegian, HAL, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. We docked at St. George's a couple of times on smaller ships and loved it. We have gotten to like the Dockyard, though. NCL has a free ferry to St. George's and back to the Dockyard. Was there last week on the Pearl. But it was sad for me seeing so many shops, etc. closed in St. George's due to Covid. We're going back in October on the Pearl again.
@@susanmotschman4396 That's great! We absolutely loved Bermuda. I'm slow to choose a cruise there because I don't want just a day or two. We were so spoiled years ago. I'm looking for the most number of days which only seems to be about 2.5. 😔
We may just have to settle and be glad with whatever we can get. It is sad that businesses have shut down. What a shame.

Loving your coverage! I'm from Cape Cod, now I feel like I need take advantage of the Pearl while it's berthed in Boston. I always feel like I need to see "everything" when I travel somewhere, just in case I don't make it back. Your trip is great, you can explore pretty thoroughly & still have plenty of time to relax & enjoy the ship!!
Oh you definitely need to do this cruise if you are so close!! We thought the water was amazing and the locals say it gets even bluer in summer!

Just FYI there are 3 different cruise docks in Bermuda, Royal Naval Dockyard
located at the western end on Great Sound (the busiest port), Hamilton
Port located centrally on Hamilton Harbor, and St. George's Port located
at the eastern end of the island on St. George's harbor and each one has different access outside of the port.
rented a scooter in bermuda and was great and easy on the beach roads. Had a little trouble coming back ino Hamilton with that traffic circle. I was all confused on how to turn from it.....LOL

Going to Bermuda in a few months on NCL Joy, but it’s for the day. I’ve been there a few times as a vacation spot. I thought I saw in your other video that we still have to complete a form specifically for entry to Bermuda. My cruise specialist made no mention of it. Guess I have to read the fine print. Larry, just got off the Pearl on Friday. This is a great time for cruising--Ship has been at 50% capacity, so there's no long lines, etc. I'd you can afford it, book for sooner than next year!

They”wrong” side of the road is the correct side for me.
I had completely forgotten that there is a beach glass beach not too far from the port. Ask the locals. It's amazing!!! You wouldn't know it's there unless someone tells you where it is....good luck!

Bermuda about 5 years ago on the carnival I don't remember what ship I took a whole lot of pictures and when we passed through for some reason my camera erase all my pictures I came home with no pictures no one could figure out what happened when we went through the Bermuda triangle they were gone have a great time

@@EECCTravels Make sure they use Wahoo, that's the preferred fish of choice when making a decent sandwich. You can stay off the ship overnight, providing you are staying at a residence or hotel, a few good clubs you could visit if you're familiar, if not, the ship is better. Enjoy your stay. The restaurant at the pier has a decent sandwich.
You get to experience the overnight stay when you are in Maui and Kauai also.

Renting scooters is definitely the best way to get around.
