My older brother was my matching stell cell donor and he exactly had that procedure. Lots of love for my brother.

I got blood stem cells done in 2014.

That's wonderful! I signed up in 2019. I just got a letter in the mail a couple weeks ago saying I've finally been matched with a recipient! I'm so nervous but so excited. (Kinda wish I hadn't watched this video now though! Lol.)

Just had this procedure done for my brother who needed a transplant. It’s really not as bad as I thought. Yes I’m sore and there’s some pain, but just take the pain pills you’re prescribed and u should be fine. I honestly would compare it to not working out for awhile then going back to the gym and hitting it hard lol. Again it’s not too bad 🤷🏽♂️.

I had lots of numbing medicine. The doctor screwed the needle into my hip. I felt the pressure and movements but no pain

Experiencing a lot of pain is not healthy, causes a lot of oxidative stress and remains a troumatic experience. but I don't know whether general anesthesia can affect the quality of the absorbed bone marrow before making a stem cell procedure? would like to know this ..and also after this process you have to take intensive painkilling pills? Wishing you a speedy recovery. Greetings from the Netherlands.
@@Atheist-Pinar no I was under when it was being done, however the pain afterwards felt like a broken bone. I was on painkillers for about 3 weeks and later moved on to just Ibuprofen
