    Erica, you are amazing. I am impressed with how organized you are and all the lists you prepare so that everyone is on the same page. I knew you were a very detailed person when I saw all your journals. Very creative, deep thinker, and very talented. You are a wonderful mother, wife, daughter and friend to many. You have inspired me in so many ways. I'm in my 70s but old dogs can still learn new tricks! Thank you, and appreciate yourself.

    I can't believe how much Jack has grown and how helpful he is. IIRC, he is will be six, and Brandon will be nine this month. Those boys are so helpful. Jack was so upset that he dropped the succulent, but you were patient and, most of all, calm with the situation.

    Best read aloud for kids of their ages is Super Fudge by Judy Blume. It was soooooo funny. My kids loved it at their ages.

    I really like those questions about intentions rather than lofty goals - How do I want to show up? How do I want to feel? What do I not want? That’s new to me but I think might be game-changing as we head into a busy season !!! Thanks Erica - I appreciate you!!

    Hi Erica, I am about 4 minutes into your video and I feel like you are describing my exact life to me lol. Sick kids with back to back colds, trying to be present and balance everything life is throwing at us. You have inspired me to go write a few things out that I would like to accomplish this month. 😁 I hope you all get better soon.

    The checklist looks really helpful. Thank you so much for making it available to us. I really need to do a monthly reset so I plan to use it to help keep me on track. I have been so scattered and unfocused lately. The look on your little guy's face when he dropped the planter 💖He looked so serious and then his smile when you told him it was okay was just adorable.

    How can you only have 41k subscribers?! You’ve brought so much wisdom to my life and I recommend your channel to everyone! This was such a nice video! You totally have a Get it Done attitude (like you’re eating your Frogs 😉) and making your way through your list. I love the templates you’ve made up. Also, you’re my hero for tackling your pictures. That’s going to be a BIG project for me to tackle in the next year. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, best of luck with your berries, and thanks for being you!

    I'm in UK (not sure what zone that is), blackberries, and raspberries, certainly do survive outside here in the ground. Strawberries do too but just need a bit of TLC - I think you can put straw around them... but do check that out.

      I was also thinking how he needed to be trusted with the job even though he dropped it to pick his spirits back up. He was scared of the sound and braking another. That’s why I let him do them all. :)

    Hi Erica! Hello from Poland where winter is almost there you can for sure leave both raspberries, strawberries and blueberries outside without worries that they will die - we have winters -25 Celcius and they all are doing just great without any coverage.

    • @EricaLucasLoves
      @EricaLucasLoves  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome! It will be an experiment this year and I hope they survive!

      Hi from Finland! We plant strawberries etc. to the ground for the winter. This will protect their roots when it's cold.

    • @JuliaK-H
      @JuliaK-H 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! Same here in Austria. Strawberries sometimes lose some leaves over winter, but they will thrive again in spring. Rosemary does fine too.

  • @GoingGreenMom
    @GoingGreenMom 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The strawberries should be fine. I've got black raspberries, and I typically try to cut back the canes they fruited on,but otherwise they just sit there. I'm in zone 5, northern Indiana. If the strawberries haven't rooted and are super exposed they will die back, but the rooted plants are typically fine. If they are planted in gutters, they don't have enough insulation around the roots.... But we get down to -20 most winters. I have small tiered planters and they seem to be hit or miss. Planning to cover in leaves to insulate.

    Good Morning Erica. You should be able to overwinter your plants by putting them in the ground in the pots that they are currently in. Just dig them in and plant them, but keep them in the pot. Then in the spring after the frost has passed you can dig them out and put them again on your porch. If you are not able to dig them into the ground anywhere as I know you rent. I would suggest that you group them together. Use some burlap and leaves to give them some insulation from the coming weather. I do this a lot with plants I have not found a home for. I live in Ontario, Canada. Question for you have you ever come across an easier-to-read Bible for teens? My son is 16 and has a language-based learning disability. He becomes overwhelmed with a lot of text. I am trying to find one with larger text and more spaced out. On another note, I am getting close to my 100 walks, now in the 80s. Have a great day, Jenn.

      ERV is specifically made for English language learners. Roughly a 3rd grade level. Which makes it lovely for my daughter whose first language is not English and your kiddo with a language based delay.

    i dont think we will doing much at Christmas. my nephew almost pasted away last month from pneumonia. hes on the mend, but a lot of medical things scheduled. so i will maybe spend a little more money on really beautiful cards & try to buy something that are needs. a gift card for groceries. my sis is in her 70's and is afraid to buy groceries on line. so i will ask her to e mail me a list of maybe 35-40$ (thats my budget, i live on disability) and i will order for her and have it sent to her home.
