    Simple, to the point, brief and clear but with sufficient detail. Exactly how a how-to video should be.

    Im going to be replacing and 08 street Bob odometer. Do I have to transfer the milage over and ride for 31.1 miles to “marry” it to the bike? Or is it just play and play and it will display the bike’s milage??

    • @theaveragebiker
      @theaveragebiker  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It will display the mileage on its own. It will be married to the ECM once you pass the mileage. Being paired to the ECM only means it can’t be used on a other bike without displaying VINERR

      My 06 Dyna speedo went out and put a brand new one in, haven't rode it yet but all the mileage on it is 0s and hasn't shown me the true milage.. The dealer is telling me new speedos will not show correct milage and will start out at 0

    so does the vin error come back with new gauge? or no cause its brand new and only used by your bike from the start

    • @theaveragebiker
      @theaveragebiker  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it doesn’t come back with the new gauge. Once it’s over the mileage limit, It’s paired to the bike and it will say vin error if it were put on any other bike, no matter what.

    Did you transfer your milage info to the new speedo?

    • @theaveragebiker
      @theaveragebiker  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it will pick up the actual mileage of the bike automatically after the break in period.

  • @jeffkraus1457

    How do u get it paired to your bike?

    • @theaveragebiker
      @theaveragebiker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It pairs automatically after a certain amount of
      Miles. Short answer: RIDE

    • @theaveragebiker
      @theaveragebiker  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a stock street bob fender. You can probably find one on eBay. What might make it look different is the tail light relocation kit.

Search for OEM Dyna Street Bob rear fender, then make sure it is for the same year as your bike.

      @@theaveragebiker ok. I’ll have to check Harley for that style. Looking for a 2 up seat for my 07 I just bought and I like the padding for the passenger on that one. Thx

    • @theaveragebiker
      @theaveragebiker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jamalymall sure thing. Also, I would check out the Le pera Daytona seat, which looks similar. If you are gonna spend the $ to change seats, might as well get better cushion and back support to go with it. I think most Harley stock seats, including that one, are terrible for longer rides.
