I have about 10 flights on my custom 18m viper xc. I love this wing. Very effecient and fast. I also love how you can go from one ozone wing to the next and they all feel familiar. It does feel like your brake pull js heavier than other manufacturers, but I like the feel. It feels locked in like it's on rails.
Hi, I am a paramotor pilot from GB. so did you just buy this wing without even having a demo flight on it first? bgd brake toggles are far better than the magnet type more so if the test lines are connected to the brake toggles too. more secure. and won't slip off. i fly Viper 4. viper 3 . demo warp 2 . is very fast. faster then freeride xc. etc..p.s I also contacted ozone about the bgd brake toggles and mentioned these. they listened.
@@csmith9008 hi. the deep spiral lock.. i have had. not many pilots have also.if anyone wants to watch my video u-tube . "paramotor mistake".i also got use to the Gs pulled. practice.
You told me the trim release was butter smooth, but I didn't realize it had bearings/rollers. I'm going to have to set aside some time and finally swap my Sirocco 3 risers to the updated ones
Congratulations! I looked at this as well, went with the Luna 2 as a second wing. BDG has the same toggles and I like them. Just needed to add the tip steering toggles to the preflight. What was the issue with Jason?
Yes, the winglets are supposed to minimize any oscillation in flight. They must do their job because I don't remember having ANY oscillation on this flight. They worked so well I forgot to even mention them.
Hi ,I have dudek Hadron3 20m done 170 hours on it and im thinking to up grade to ether smaller 18 m Hadron 3 or to 18m Viper xc I love my Hadron whats your opinion about Viper 5 after more flying ? Would you come back to smaller sizs Hadron ? Or Viper5 is better ? And is it fatster than Hadron3 or same ? .Thanks
In short I like the ViperXC over my Hadron3. I can't speak to the Viper5. Ozone launches smoother and lands easier than the Hadron. Especially when comparing the way the Hadron shoots up on launch. Hadron is snappier in maneuvers but the ViperXC can match it just with a little more input on the toggles. If you want a noticeable upgrade then yes, smaller wing. If you want more or less equal wing but easier launch, land, and NO oscillation then ViperXC. Oh, and fast. Trimmed out, my ViperXC 20m is equally as fast as my friend on his trimmed out Hadron3 18 meter. This is all my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.
@@csmith9008 Yes I know XC have winglets and shived lines . I like shived lines but I think wingleds just couse drag . I will go for XC version easier with shived lines shoud last longer (: Thanks
Looks like a decent wing but I just can't get over the prices. Not sure if its Ozone or Aviator jacking the prices on as the importer. Other options in the same class are a grand cheaper.
Ozone has invested heavily in wing development software and other technologies to create wings that dramatically outperform everything else in the industry and I believe in the coming years we will see all those other cheaper wings really fall off the map. Or its just all the Aviator employees wanting to make the money pile bigger. You know, they’re rich and greedy. Paramotor is a very lucrative industry

Glad you're digging the XC!
Subbed thanks for the awesome content
Thanks for watching!
Glad you like your new wing!
Only 1 hour in but I think it's gonna be excellent.

If you haven't shortened the tips and brake lines, give it a try. Definitely helps the heavy pull feeling.
Very cool to listen to your live reaction to the first flight on the Viper XC. I like those swivels.
Overall I am impressed. I will definitely be adjusting the brake and tip line lengths for a more responsive input.

No demo. I researched all that I could and made the decision. Only 1 flight so far and I'm happy with it for sure.

Do it! My H3 trim releases clamp down like a vise and are very tight to release so these are a 100% improvement.

Thanks! Not sure on Jason yet. He is chasing the problem which he is suspecting to be electrical at this point.
I have toyed with getting the ViperXC also. Glad to hear your thoughts on it. Arn't the winglets supposed to be stabilizing structures?

perhaps they are why it takes more pull to initiate the turns?@@csmith9008
Those trimmers look nice! What size did you go with and what is your all-up weight?
This is the 20m. Im about 259lbs all up with 10 liters fuel.
What helmate set up do you use? Love the audio clarity
I use a lavaliere mic plugged directly into the GoPro media mod to capture my audio.
