UFC 5 is here and it doesn't really do much with its 3-year gap between releases. From career mode, to online modes, to gameplay, nothing of note was really added.
One thing that bothers me is that in career mode, once you get to the top 15 that... you still have to watch tape?? Like i get it for finding out stats and weaknesses, but it shouldnt take 50% of my ingame week to find out that Colby Covington is a wrestler... like... really

I'm not the biggest fan of UFC. But even I have to admit the fidelity of their video games (Even if I would prefer Boxing video games) I genuinely think that MMA/UFC combat might be too complex for current controllers. As much as I wished that this budget/effort was spent on a sport I enjoy, I think the idea of UFC is just too complex.
I think with the right developers they could find a way to make it better. But even if they can’t. There are still obvious improvements they could make that they just are too lazy to. If UFC Undisputed 3 captured MMA better than this shit then there’s no way that a proper, well made, modern game can’t be done
UFC 3 striking made it amazing, ufc 4 and 5 have this turn based striking that boils down to who can hit a uppercut hook combo first or in 5 who can pull counter first, crazy part is you can have ufc 3 striking but only offline if you turn on “Free Striking” it basically changes the game
the only console game i wish was on PC man! I loved playing ufc on my 360 back in the day! I always was a forrest griffin main. I believe it was 3 i played alittle on ps5 when i had one, it was also pretty good.
I have bought every ufc game since thq had the license. I did not buy this one. 3 and 4 weren't as good as I wanted them to be. I'll wait for this to come to psn plus like 4 did lol
I'd rather play an obnoxiously loud anime fighter than these slow-ass UFC games. The animations are ugly, the punches n kicks don't feel like they have weight behind em. Simulations are crap
EA in a nutshell, only the presentation is good, everything else average with no improvement.
When their game from 2010 (EA MMA) was better than any of the UFC games, gameplay wise is much much better then something is wrong.

We had Fight Night MMA, that was EA MMA from 2010 and that was GOOD really good and much better than this gameplay wise.
Come to think of it calling this game Ufc 4.5 seems to be a fair argument

the control scheme just sucks, quarter-circle stick rotations registering 1/3 of the time. Skate games didn't have that input problem.
